Wow! What a disappointment! The server ( I think her name was Ellen. Although she did tell us that) and the obviously not made in house , carrot cake. Are the only reason I gave it one star. We started with fried calamari. It came out way too fast to have been made to order. It was a tad over fried, so it was rubbery. Tasted like the kind you buy frozen . You know, already breaded. The order was a large quantity , but that doesn't make it good. I ordered shrimp & scallop Pomadoro. The hubs ordered linguine with white clam sauce. That had 2 clams in shells on the top of the pasta, and the rest was canned clams. Believe me, You can tell. My dish was almost fair. The menu read tomato basil cream sauce. More like marinara with a touch of cream. A leaf of basil chopped up on top. The shrimp, scallops & pasta were cooked well, but the almost raw garlic and heavy handed on the salt took away from what might have been an acceptable dish. We also had minestrone soup. Could have fooled me. There was not a bean to be found. The pasta was pastina & it had some type of shredded meat?? Lastly, the coffee was not drinkable. We've heard people, at times , say they have had coffee that tasted like dishwater . We never experienced that until tonight. I ordered decaf & the hubs had reg. They both sucked. One sip was all it took. . We didn't mention anything to the waitress as it's not anything to do with her. But I will write this review as well as a google one. The place was packed. It's dark in the front room . It was ok in the side room where we were. Typical Italian decor. Wine bottles on the walls, that kind of thing. Again we were really disappointed. It's hard to spend $125 and not really enjoy it. Now we know. Armani's in downtown Vero is 100% better. We went there 3 days ago. I will write about that place as that will receive 5 stars. Oh and don't bother with the extra calories by eating the garlic bread . It was Italian bread cut into French fry shape with way too much garlic powder & low grade parmigiana cheese. read more

The food looked amazing and is cooked to order I am told. They were busy with a very good dinner crowd. I felt like most of the people there were regulars. The staff seemed happy and they probably have a core crew being a Mom n Pop establishment. We sat at the bar. There is one TV. The ambiance is dark Italian kinda romantic with dimmed lights. I should have ordered my second round when my boyfriend did because although the bar is only around 6 chairs, the bartender also works the service bar so if you don't get her when she asks, you'll be waiting. Instead of waiting we cashed out. We'll be back as we definitely want to enjoy a meal here at least once. We love supporting local. Continued success Italian Grill! Had a Fantastic Chicken Parmigiana at Italian Grill! Pasta was Al Dente, and chicken was perfectly crispy but not overcooked (not dry)!

Delicious tomato sauce but meatballs are so hard (add another egg) & sausages were as well. Not cooked long enough in sauce. read more

This restaurant was recommended and the food was good. The lasagna was very full of meat. The overall feel was a bit run down but authentic. The food took a bit but they said they hand made the food so it is worth it. read more

Got seated exactly by our 7pm reservation time. Gina greeted us warmly and got our drink order taken. Perused the menu and quickly decided our meals. 2 grilled chicken w/ veggie dinners, a sausage n peppers over pasta and nancy n I shared the chicken messina. The bread sticks were epic! Served with a chunky marinara sauce, oh my. All meals were delicious and served in a timely manner. Loved the subtle Christmas decorations too. Never have had a bad experience here, keep up the great work y'all! read more

Food was good my daughter's franchise sauce was very different tasting not in a good way. The only other negative was the amount of raw garlic and salt in the pasta fragile soup was a lot. Overall good. read more

Friday May 22nd was my first time ever at memo's Italian grill. The mozzarella moons were very good and the salad was great. Unfortunately, I ordered veal marsala, which is my favorite Italian dish. I was presented with an extra large plate that slope down in the middle. It looked like chicken broth was there sauce. Never seen anything like it in my life. Veal settled in a big puddle of scallopini floating in a mass amount of broth. If that's so called broth was supposed to be their signature Italian sauce, then they might want to go to Carrabba's and see how marsala sauce is really supposed to be made. Paying $26.99 for that dish of broth is an insult to any customer. read more

The atmosphere is comfortably casual while reminding me of old East coast restaurants that had generations of employees and customers. The food is quite good and, like the feel of the place, reminds me of New York Italian old school. Staff is friendly and knows the menu. The place can get busy but I've never waited too long. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan with pasta for 18 for a family dinner. It was ready and waiting when I arrived. It was hot and delicious. The family (mostly Italians) was quite impressed! I was impressed from walking in at 3pm before they opened to order for 2 days later, to talking and helping be decide what to order and how much, to having it hot and ready on time and checking out in just minutes! Promptly seated and off to a great start. The blueberry pie martini was delicious--honestly tasted just like a slice of blueberry pie. The creamy garlic salad dressing was the standout of the meal, absolutely perfect. The minestrone soup and penne alla vodka were also very enjoyable. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The chicken piccata was extremely disappointing--so off in taste that it honestly seemed spoiled. It was nothing like a traditional piccata and ended up being one of the worst dishes I've had. Service was another letdown. While our server was friendly when she did engage, she seemed rushed the entire time--often leaving mid-sentence and even saying at one point, "I can't stay, I'm so busy." While I understand being busy, the restaurant had multiple servers and a relatively small dining room, so the experience felt more dismissive than hectic. I ordered Angel Hair Imperial, the menu said it was fresh garlic and fresh spinach sautéed and finished in a cream sauce with angel hair pasta. the spinach had to be of a box of frozen chopped spinach, watery with no flavor, the bottom of the bowl was a watery goop. The salad was limp and dressed with the wrong dressing. They gave a table of four 5 overcooked bread pieces (no, not even breadsticks) that appeared as though a single portion of garlic bread was cut in small pieces. My partners lasagna was so dry it was virtually inedible, although I offered to bring it home and try to give it some life. Our server couldn't hand the ladies our drinks or meals, she said she couldn't reach that far and not once did she ask how our meals were or offer refills, unless asked. read more

This is a busy dinner place. We got a booth for three and ordered Penne pasta with Vodka sauce, Eggplant Rigatoni and a Margarita Pizza. Garlic bread appetizer was ok. Salads with the creamy garlic dressing started things off. We had the Lemon cake for desert which was also good. This place doesn't charge a Convenience Fee for credit cards. Italian Grill is a nice place that actually has some grilled dishes on the menu! It's a bit dark inside with all that dark wood making it a bit dated looking. And by 4:15pm it's already full of seniors hungry for dinner. Haha But the food is good -- although I ordered the wrong thing and did not care for my entree (angelhair amatriciana) and left most of it uneaten. But the simple salad was great and the garlic bread was to die for! Our waitress, Jennifer was so smiley and happy and we like that. Good positive attitude. Also the menu is pretty reasonable $. while the food was good we were duped by an otherwise friendly server as we were told we could have salad with our entree but if we chose pasta fagioli soup there was an up charge which I later found out was 9 dollars! Really!!? additionally my 2 yr old grandaughter ordered pasta n we were told there's no kid menu but any entree could be kid-sized " I later found out her meal which I figured would b 6.99 was 26 dollars! cmon!!!! further my daughter said her 2 drinks were on drink special each drink was 15 dollars ! that's real special! Visiting in Florida & was looking for some authentic Italian food. We tried this place on a recommendation & were not disappointed. They had a small seating area outside with approximately 5 tables. We opted to sit here as it was a beautiful night. Their drink special was sangria, so of course I needed to try it! I made the mistake of letting my husband & 21 year old son take a sip. By the time we left, we had each had 2...they were so dang good! We ordered the calamari, because we had heard great things about it. Man, it was probably one of the best calamari dishes I've ever had. That's saying a lot seeing that I come from RI (we are known for our calamari). It was so good, that it was almost half gone before I could get my phone out to take a picture I opted for their eggplant rollatini...definitely a winner! The eggplant was perfectly cooked & that sauce was delicious! I wish I could remember what everybody else in my party got; there was definitely ravioli & chicken parmigiana in there. Not one single complaint from anybody; it was all delicious. Oh, I can't forget about the bread they put on the table; little slices of bread, buttered & toasted, then topped with Parmesan cheese...yum! The perfect vessel to sop up that sauce. Now, service is slow here, but they cook to order. We honestly have zero complaints about waiting when the quality of the food is that good. 100% will be back next time we are in the area. read more

My wife and I, joined by another couple, went to Italian Grill on our way to the Christmas light display at McKee Botanical Gardens. We did read previous reviews and were very pleased by what we read. We were not disappointed. The place is decorated to give the impression you're at a local family owned Italian restaurant. Our server, Melissa, was very friendly and attentive. I had the Veal Picata, my wife had the Chicken Picata, the husband of the other couple had the lasagna and wife had the Baked "Italiano". We all were very pleased with our meals. The flavors were exceptional. The dinner salads were very generous with two excellent dressing choices. We the garlic bread was very tasty and were not denied a second serving. We will be returning. read more

We order cannoli's on a regular basis because we love them from the Italian grill. We go to the restaurant for special occasions, birthdays, anniversary and when family comes to visit. We have been going to the Italian grill for 10 years. We picked up 2 cannoli's today and we I got home put them in the refrigerator and was so disappointed with how small they were. This is why I'm sending a review. We never had a bad meal here and to see how these cannolis changed. So upset that they were not the same as we have been getting over the years. Cynthia read more
