Had a hankering for sea bass yesterday so stopped by Rhonda's to see what she had. Found a beautiful piece of bass that was super fresh. Service is always friendly and attentive, and you can't go wrong with selection and impeccable quality. Unfortunately this shop is not a real sea food shop!They offer only frozen shrimps and salmon.I didn't see anything as supposed to be find in the real sea food store .I expected the fish from the ocean ,crabs etc,but instead I saw sausages, beef and alligator meat. The ocean is next to the shop's location and there is plenty fish.Just is needed someone to catch it. read more

Great find. Female owned and operated. Super clean, NO smell of fish and an incredible selection and kind personal service. The fresh catches of the day and labeled beautifully and placed in Coolers on ice in the front of the store. They take it one step further and have all the fish cleaned, filled, cut, weighed and priced in Individual bags so that customers can pick their own selection. Perfect to shop depending on how many people you're feeding or shopping for. They halos have some amazing frozen options including shrimp, scallops, oysters, and crab cakes. Rhonda's seafood is brought in fresh daily. It never disappoints. She has lots of other food there as well. You don't have to be a seafood lover "only" to shop there. I purchase a variety of ravioli. I like the wild mushroom. They are loaded with the filling you choose. And, she has choices of sauces to go with it. You can find lots of delicious deli food, prepared food,etc. Her mustard sauce for crab is out of this world, and, she will give you the recipe. The store is spotless. One of my early finds in Vero Beach last year, this is where you come to find fresh local and non-local fish in wide variety of choices you select yourself from pre-cut selections bagged in heavy plastic bags in fresh ice chests. The fish is not frozen. You can also special order fish and cuts of particular weights should you so desire. This fish is FRESH. Service is very helpful and useful. No question goes unanswered. Also available are some of the best vegetables in Vero Beach as well as frozen fish and soups/chowders along with some other items including pasta. Went in to Rhonda's for the first time today (still kicking myself) I was so impressed with the organization of this establishment! The ladies behind the counter were so friendly and informative and the fish, we just made ceviche out of was sooo fresh! We bought some flounder and some fish dip both so delicious highly recommend the fish dip. The different fish is organized in coolers, you just sift through and find what you want! All different prices all different weights. Never going to the grocery store for fish again! read more

Nice seafood market. A good variety of fish and shellfish. Food was packaged individually with clear markings of weight and price. There's also some frozen options. They were observant of Covid guidelines and I felt there was minimal exposure risk. Very friendly and the homemade bread at checkout was a last minute purchase and was delicious. read more

Good fish but WAY overpriced. Grouper is $32 a lb. fresh market is $16-17 a pound. It is not that fresh to double the price. I asked questions (u should always ask about fish when u shop) like is it local? How fresh? Fish is not just fish, asked what kind of grouper was it because there are three types in Florida and she was pissed that she had to answer questions and just wanted to wait on the old rich ladies that didn't really know what they were buying. The grouper was black grouper and that is the most desirable but not for that price. so I will driving 20 minutes to ft pierce for local fish caught that day and save 20-30 bucks a meal read more

Firstly, we've known Rhonda for YEARS now. Some 10 plus years or so speaks for itself, yes? Truthfully, her expertise in seafood is clearly seen in the acquisition, preparation and ultimately the sale of her products! Walking into her location for the first time is a revelation of sorts, for one is struck by the absolute CLEANLINESS of this business, no small accomplishment when one considers how difficult it is to keep surfaces sterile as possible here in the Deep South, seven days a week! Secondly, while you are taking everything into consideration, surely enough, you spy the countertops absolutely loaded with local goodies galore! Truth is, Rhonda sells much more than seafood, and a quick look 'round will reveal all manner of things you'll seek when consuming say fresh crab or other selections that go hand-in-hand with seafood itself. Her own Mama and Papa ran a seafood business for MANY decades and imparted a lifetime of knowledge to their daughter who has done an AMAZING JOB of it too!! In all manner of honesty, Rhonda's operation is geared to upscale and middle scale buyers.... but don't be discouraged if you have low funds! She has often spoken to me about how some people aren't aware of the GREAT seafood found in the freezer sections, a huge help for those who do not own a vehicle and must walk or bike to the store and back. The fact that the items are frozen gives the buyer time to get back home without incurring dangerous salmonella counts, etc etc. It's ALL good, folks! Rhonda's Seafood is the ONLY place in town I go for fresh seafood. She has the best pompano in Vero. So fresh and there is no "fishy" smell when I cook it. Try the "fish crack", Rhonda's secret smoked fish dip made with fresh Mahi. It is by far, my husbands favorite. On his list of favorites for his "last meal"! I went in today and Rhonda had just made fresh fish chowder. It is heaven in a bowl. So perfectly seasoned and the fish and shellfish were perfectly cooked. A terrific seafood market with a lovely selection of fish. The fish is expertly cleaned and packed in coolers for purchase. It's nice bc you can inspect the filet and select the portion and piece that you want on the spot. You get want you want at the price you want. Jean and Rhonda are friendly and professional as they guide you in your purchase. If time permits the ladies will assist in cracking the stone crab claws for ease of consumption. Yum!! We had some meat lovers in our group and purchased amazing petite fillets to go with our fish. A delicious line of beef from a mid west farm that were SUPERB and worth the price. They offer side dishes you can cook at home and citrus so you really don't need to go to the market. Further, if you are a chocolate lover like my friend you MUST buy the truffles!! They are superb!! We are new to Vero and we were looking for fresh fish when we stopped in to Rhonda's. They have a very large selection of fish/seafood. Excellent fresh fish, shrimp n shells - get them while they last along with house made keylime pie that is local legend! Crab dip that is ALLL crab with some very light sauce - not cream cheese season-all and a few crab crumbs. Fish dip was gone but my sample was good enough to help me understand why it was gone so early. AAAND they are dog-friend to boot. Definitely a re-stop for me on my next trip thru. read more
