The ENTIRE experience was top notch! The best and I mean best meal I ever had. Well worth the advance reservation and ticket for the performance of the singer! The entire atmosphere of the little restaurant made us feel as though we were in France. The theme of the evening was French. We plan on returning of course because we were thrilled with how well this Vero Beach Restaurant has been established. A hidden treasure right on Old Dixie, downtown Vero Beach... Step inside you'll see and feel the aura of Atmosphere.

I googled romantic restaurant with live music and Atmosphere came up. They 5 stars across the board. I came to Yelp and there weren't any yet. I want to be the first to say this place is amazing. The decor and vibe lend itself to an intimate dining experience. Nice wine list, a little small, but prices were reasonable. Food was impeccable. We had the lamb chop starter, chopped salad and Scallops for dinner. Service was great. The entertainment was phenomenal. The trio of keyboards, upright bass and vocals. We were actually the last people there, and the staff was so incredibly nice and attentive that they even offered to move a table and chairs so we could get a photo in front of their beautiful flower wall. There were also live singers the night we went and they sounded wonderful! I had the Lavender Lemon Drop Martini, and the Marry Me Chicken and they were both so delicious. My fiancé ordered the Beef Short Rib and he loved that as well. You can't leave without trying the Piña Colada Bread Pudding! It's easily one of the best bread puddings I've ever tasted!!!! App BRAISED BEEF & CARAMELIZED ONION CROSTINI Velvety braised beef meets sweet onions, whispered by garlic crostinis Review: Very very OVER cooked SOLID crostinis and beef wasn't braised it was soaked in bbq sauce no onion or micro-greens. Not good. FLAVOR was was salty! Like a salt lick. SHE CRAB SOUP (From the site: SHE CRAB SOUP A rich, creamy soup made with lump crabmeat, a savory seafood broth, and a touch of warming spices, finished with a splash of sherry and served with a fresh-baked dinner roll.) REVIEW: It was a cup of seafood cream soup made of cream over salted and no lump crabmeat, no fresh bread either. No depth couldn't taste the sherry. I think the base was rushed and not layered at all. LUXE SEAFOOD POT PIE Buttery puff pastry filled with a rich medley of shrimp, lobster, scallops, and lump crab, complemented by a silky, well-seasoned seafood sauce with aromatic vegetables. REVIEW: This was awful! It was a bunch of frozen veggie blend cream of celery soup and seafood with a pastry popped on the top. No love into the meal at all. It had a great deal of seafood but all the other ingredients were really just thrown in. (Taste like when you rush to put food on the table because you have too much to do and have to just feed the fam). Last PINA COLADA BREAD PUDDING. Toasted Coconut | Spice Rum Glaze |In House Made Coconut & Pineapple Ice Cream Over cooked and slightly burnt. To be honest I threw it out. Actually I ended up throwing most of it out. I tried to take some bites but it was just plain BAD. I could understand a bad dish or an off night but 4 out of 4. Worst part was I called and said I love your bakery and was so bummed out and it was a complete brush off. Shame...guess no date night there or a romantic night home. Greeted as soon as we walked through the door and had our choice of seating. Upon receiving our menus, our server told us about the specials of the day and other specials throughout the week. I love Spanish food and had to eat a bunch to satisfy my cravings. The service was fast and friendly and the food was delicious. The portions were generous, the sausages had great flavor and texture and the bread.... My favorite! Definitely worth checking out whether for lunch or dinner, the food is consistent and the service is next level.

The restaurant has a pleasant looking interior with tables and an interesting counter when you first walk in showing all the desserts which looked fabulous. The Service: Our server was excellent with Service with a smile and plenty of attention without being overbearing. She made sure everything we asked for came exactly as we asked although for whatever reason she kept giving all my dishes to my guest on the right (not sure if it was something I said or did but kind of funny we all had a good laugh about it). The Food: Here's where Tapas Terra was somewhat lacking. I ordered Spanish (spinach filled) croquettes and beef and chicken empanadas. Unfortunately, neither were great. They weren't bad but just not great. The Spanish (spinach filled) croquettes were ok but needed some type of dip. The beef and chicken empanadas were also ok. The filling was a bit spicy but won't drive away those who don't like spicy food. The crust was a bit dry on both. Because of the lack of a/c, we didn't try the desserts. In all fairness, some of the other dishes looked great and I didn't try the Paella Marinera, which is a must try at any tapas restaurant. The Bottom Line: As with all my reviews the bottom line or "Customer so what" would I come back? The answer is... because I didn't try the paella, and some of the other dishes, probably yes I'd be happy to give this place a second try (as long as the AC is working).

The fatty portion of my Prime Rib was excessive. I get that ribeye-style cuts derive flavor from fat, but this was to the point where it overwhelmed the dish and left me wishing I had ordered the lower-cost ribeye instead. On top of that, it came out medium instead of medium-rare, which didn't help. That said, others at the table ordered the NY Strip and Ribeye, and both looked excellent--cooked properly and more in line with what I'd expect from a steakhouse at this level. Highlights of the meal: Brazilian sliders were fantastic--definitely a must-order appetizer Oxtail stroganoff was rich and well executed Mac & cheese was a solid side Cocktails were creative and well made Overall, I've had better steaks at lower price points, but also worse ones at higher-end spots. Based on what I saw from other dishes, I'd absolutely give Ember & Oak another shot--just not with the Prime Rib next time.

We walked in and were told by the bartender/manager?? to please sit anywhere, but please don't sit in the front two tables, they like to keep those for larger parties. OK, I can deal with that since they only have 2 tables that seat more than 2. He then said we were welcome to sit at the bar (smaller tables were available, but had not been bussed). We started to sit at the front of the bar and then were instructed to please sit at the other end of the bar where he was setting up two places. TOO MANY RULES for lunch!! I almost walked out, but S/O logically said "We are already here, why don't we just stay"? Reluctantly, I agreed. We sat down and S/O ordered a beer (he gave it a thumbs up) and I ordered an iced tea. Bartender/manager/whatever then sets a glass of ice water down. I am confused as I did not order water, and you usually have to ask for water these days. Wait patiently for iced tea to no avail. Now, he has a woman server taking care of us. So I then reorder my iced tea and she brings it. She takes our food order and the order did come out fairly quickly. I got a steak sandwich and S/O got a reuben. Both were good and prices were reasonable. Nothing extraordinary, but not the worst meal I have ever had. Would I go back, I doubt it, with the rules thing and all. And BTW--No "large" party ever came into use those two tables in the front. However, the smaller tables did get bussed while we were there.

The restaurant was extremely busy, so I expected a bit of a wait. However, the service was much slower than expected. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and one of the four kids' meals we ordered never came out. After waiting around 45 minutes, instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue, the manager approached us and immediately became argumentative about how many kids' meals had been ordered. I wasn't looking for a confrontation--I simply wanted the missing meal. I actually had to stop the conversation and tell him that if he came over just to argue, I wasn't interested. That interaction really left a bad impression. As for the food, it was a mix of highs and lows. The blue crab dip was easily the standout of the meal--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It's absolutely worth ordering. The edamame was also well prepared and made for a great appetizer. Unfortunately, the gnocchi was the complete opposite. It arrived ice cold, lacked flavor, and was one of the most disappointing entrées I've had. For roughly $45 between my meal and wine, I expected a much better experience. While I appreciate that they offered a Kids Eat Free promotion, the long wait, missing meal, and poor handling of the situation overshadowed that benefit. The restaurant itself has a sleek, contemporary atmosphere that's great for groups or families, but the lack of attentive service and the manager's approach to customer concerns made the experience far less enjoyable. I hope they've improved since my visit, because the blue crab dip alone deserves recognition, but based on this experience, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
