Vero finally has IT! The perfect restaurant that has incredible ambience and incredible food! From the moment we walked in the service was absolute perfection. Waters were always refilled, incredible wait staff (shout out to Taylor!) and we even got to speak to the owner and chef. I felt transported to another city the moment I stepped into the restaurant. Beautiful decorations and live piano music from a musician. However, as wonderful has that all was, what stood out was the FOOD!!! We started out with the octopus and friend's got the tuna. Absolutely stunning dishes. Both of them. My octopus was perfectly cooked with a beautiful sauce underneath. For my entree I tried the lamb and my husband got the filet. Again, two perfectly executed proteins with sides that perfectly complimented the flavors. The combination of parsnip puree and romesco sauce with the lamb was divine. Starting Sept 1 they will have specialty cocktails. I will be back! Honestly, I don't know how you go anywhere else for dinner after coming here. I loved it so much. read more

Went there for the first time this week. It's an upscale vibe, had a jazz guitarist in the corner, service was very good as was the ambience. The menu is very limited. As a handful of entrées and appetizers. Best part was that the wine was very affordable- surprisingly so. The Caymus Cabernet was $90 a bottle which is excellent and I hope they don't raise it. Overall the food was good but not exceptional. Wish the menu was a little broader but that would violate the limited menu expectations of some. On a date night this past Wednesday and the food service ambiance were excellent as we're finishing dinner. Jazz musician was just starting her gig. We're very pleased with the wine list the menu selections and the items we ordered ! The grouper was excellent very fresh and a fairly large piece. My wife had a pair of pasta, which was also excellent, and I had an opportunity to taste it. Food was on point. Service was solid but had to ask multiple times for water to be refilled and silverware to be replaced. Just a bit more attention to detail also had to inform the waiter about the 25% off drinks only to have to ask for the bill to properly be discounted. So that was a service miss. All in all however and in spite of the above the waiter did try his best as well as the other wait staff. Ambiance is a 10 the food is excellent overall a GREAT addition to downtown Vero Beach. This is the "gem" restaurant we all search for. The food is delicious, perfectly prepared and perfectly portioned. I had the pear stuffed purses pasta. This is pear and Gorgonzola stuffed fresh pasta "purses" sitting on a Parmesan thick sauce with baked crispy chopped prosciutto sprinkled over and shaved salty Parmesan cheese. Absolutely perfectly balanced dish. Pasta was not drowning in sauce, just enough to moisten and provide a silky, cheesy taste and texture. I will order it again and again! My husband ordered the best line caught fresh grouper we've had in a long time. Reminded us of the exquisite grouper filets we loved in the Abaco Islands of the Bahamas that is really hard to find now, even at our favorite Abaco restaurants. Better than delicious. Fillet was sitting on a nest of freshly whipped potatoes that actually tasted like potatoes! A nice sprig of broccolini that was not overcooked, balanced out the plate. We sat at their lovely bar and enjoyed French champagne ($10/glass) and California Chardonnay. We both enjoyed the excellent service, and live music consisting of a soothing piano and bass fiddle. It gave the beautifully decorated dinner room a club vibe. Really enjoyable. Weekdays are best for soothing, relaxing dinners. I understand weekend nights are much livelier with a disco scene. The ENTIRE experience was top notch! The best and I mean best meal I ever had. Well worth the advance reservation and ticket for the performance of the singer! The entire atmosphere of the little restaurant made us feel as though we were in France. The theme of the evening was French. Evening started off very well. Atmosphere staff was attentive and prompt in offering us drinks (non alcoholic) and menus. Dinner was served in a timely manner and food was excellent. However, the problems started with the arrival of the bill. We were not aware of a 20% precharge of a tip on the bill, as we added another 20% to the bill which was substantial to start with. After departing the restaurant I looked at the bill and saw a $61 dollar bottle of wine and a $7.00 Stella beer had been added to our bill. My wife and I do not drink. Several internal photographs were taken of us while we ate and would show no consumption of alcohol at the meal or thereafter. I tried within thirty minutes of leaving the restaurant to contact them by telephone and continued to receive a message that informed us that the restaurant was closed until August. Considering it was the 8th of the August when we were at the restaurant, the message offered no other means of contacting the management of the restaurant to dispute the added charges to the bill. Finally looking at the bill a statement requiring texting to the telephone number was the only posted method to contact the restaurant. A text outlining the complaint was posted again within an hour of being in the restaurant, no reply as of this posting has been received by us from the restaurant. Our next move to this non-responsive restaurant managment is to dispute the bill via the credit card company. Sorry to post such a negative review of a supposed quality restaurant in Vero Beach. read more

I googled romantic restaurant with live music and Atmosphere came up. They 5 stars across the board. I came to Yelp and there weren't any yet. I want to be the first to say this place is amazing. The decor and vibe lend itself to an intimate dining experience. Nice wine list, a little small, but prices were reasonable. Food was impeccable. We had the lamb chop starter, chopped salad and Scallops for dinner. Service was great. The entertainment was phenomenal. The trio of keyboards, upright bass and vocals. As first timers at Atmosphere, we found it to be delightful. The ambiance, food, and Chantress Violette were all quite enjoyable. The filet was perfect, and the pear pockets were better than at Dario Trattoria! What we found distressing were only two restrooms for the large number of people and the dismal parking on the street. Didn't like it. Food was good (and quite expensive considering) but service was not. Lacked attention especially considering they automatically add 20%. Waited perhaps 15 minutes before we we were offered a drink and it was early, only a few tables were occupied. But perhaps the automatic tip is the reason the service is poor? Why work hard if you're guaranteed a good tip? Too, they were unwilling to split a Caesar salad telling us that the chef was too busy. That's the first time in my life that's ever happened. Food was excellent we had beef Wellington, duck, lamb chops, filet mignon. Didn't love the tuna appetizer it was served with plantain chips that were a size of a nickle so difficult to manage. Waitress was excellent with wonderful descriptions, but at one point wewere having a private conversation about a serious topic and she interjected which I found not great. also got our wine halfway through our meal-We actually stopped eating so we could enjoy our glass of wine with the rest of dinner. It felt like we were family! The place is upscale. Being foodies we shared our suggestions at happy hour. They charred the octopus which elevated the dish to superb. The poke was fresh and delightfully different with a crunch of corn. The wines suggested were spot on! Dinner, 3 of us had the "duck" which was outstanding. I would have liked it a bit more crispy and the amazing sauce on the side. Sides a bit disappointing. Wild rice, bok choy with hoisin & garlic would have brought it to a "10". Scallions dusted the dish would also make the dish outstanding. Scallops ordered were amazing!!! Seared perfectly, great size, great portion! They have LIVE MUSIC EVERY NIGHT!! It was an interesting evening. I am a detail oriented person and actually read the dress code before arriving, multiple times. After being seated the maitre d' informed me flip flops were not allowed, he was looking at me so I said asked him if he thought I was wearing flip flops and informed him I was not. I had on a leather slide with a large gold buckle-these were no flip flops. Perhaps he was addressing my husband since he had on Birkenstocks but those are not flip flops either. We saw multiple people walk in and be seated with actual flip flops on, not to mention the multiple pairs of old lady casual sandals I saw. If you are going to have a dress code and mention it to people, ENFORCE IT! They call their dress code "elegant" on their website but I saw multiple people dressed in attire far from elegant. The maitre d's suit was ill fitting. He needs some help making better first impression-easy fix. Our waitress called us "guys" and stood over my shoulder so I did not even know she was addressing us a few times. I taught etiquette at a modeling and charm school for years, I know elegant, good manners and what a flip flop is. The food was good but both of our meals were cold-everything on my plate was cold. My water glass was never refilled and I only had water. The musician/vocalist was fine. My husband's take was that they are trying to be something they are not. I agree. The whole thing was a bit odd. All of these things are fixable but if at 6 months you have not worked out the kinks and fine tuned your employee training , I unfortunately don't see it improving. My wife and I have dined a Atmosphere secveral times. Each time is equal or better than the previous one. Last night 1/24/16 we were thrilled to take friends from Texas to the late dining/caberet evening. It was great.! Jacqueline was the jazz/blues singer. Outstanding. People were respectful and listened. Maria/Michael were wonderful, asking people to enjoy the entertainment and still enjoy dining/chatting. There was one couple who were not so pleased as they must have thought Atmosphere was a "concert venue" rather than an upscale restaurant that has entertainment. They never clapped for Jackqueline, were on their phones most of the evening, complained about the "people talking", ... sad people in general. They left after complaining to the owners, the wait staff.. bases and piano player....had they just stayed a bit longer they would have had a very quiet "session with Jacqueline. The rest of the patrons loved everything. Interaction with owners is always wonderful. The food and service outstanding. Mike , our servier met our every need. We are going back for the Sunday Brunch today 1/25/26.... A must "go to" in Vero Beach. Love Atmosphere! The little secret is out! read more
