I really like this place. The food has been very consistent and service is quick as it is mostly a steam table. Staff is always friendly and it is always clean. My take away is that the menu's prices change and are not consistent and business seems slow o matter the day or time. They are owned y the same guy who owns squid lips restaurants across the street. If it were up to me. I would allow my customers at squid lips to order as a takeout and have food runners deliver. What a concept.....

A Must-Visit BBQ Spot - Don't Let the Low Reviews Fool You! I honestly don't know why this place has low reviews because, let me tell you those complaining about price and food clearly haven't been to New York! As someone visiting from NY, I was shocked at how affordable and generous the portions are here, especially for BBQ. So if you're reading this, ignore the trolls and give this place a shot. From the moment we walked in, the two ladies at the counter were extremely welcoming. They broke down the menu for us and explained that it's a cafeteria-style setup, which honestly gave me nostalgic camp vibes super cozy and inviting. Now, let's talk about the food. My cousin and I ordered the Mac Attack with cornbread, and let me tell you it hit the spot. The mac and cheese was gooey, rich, and clearly homemade (not from a tub, like some clueless reviewer claimed). The pulled pork? Incredibly tender, not dry at all, and packed with flavor. The portions were easily enough for two if you're not trying to overdo it (but let's be real, why hold back?). And their BBQ sauce selection? Unreal. In NY, you usually get the same basic BBQ sauce, but this place had multiple options, and of course, my greedy self had to try them all. Every single one added a unique twist to the meal. Next time I'm in town, I'm definitely coming back. If you love good BBQ, friendly service, and great portions for a solid price, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Food quality is inconsistent at best. It seems to be "fast food" bbq and the benefit from low and slow is missing.

It set a pretty high bar for us, so we weren't sure we'd find anything comparable in our new area. Then we came across Nini's Cuban Cuisine in their new Sebastian location, just a short and easy ride from our home in Vero Beach, and what a great surprise it turned out to be. We stopped in for an early lunch and started with a cafe con leche that was exactly what we'd been craving. Smooth, rich, and comforting. We added an order of maraquitas, and the onion and garlic dipping sauce instantly won us over. It's the kind of simple, perfect flavor that makes you pause for a second and savor the moment. For our entree, we shared the Pan con Bistec with black beans. Splitting it was the right call because the portions are generous. Everything tasted fresh and homemade, the kind of food that feels like it came out of someone's kitchen rather than a restaurant line. If you leave hungry, that's on you. The cafe itself is small, charming, and welcoming. The staff matches the atmosphere with warm, friendly service that makes you feel like you've been coming there for years. There's a lot more on the menu that we're looking forward to trying, and it's nice to finally have a Cuban spot nearby that scratches the itch we've had since moving south. ¡Nos gusta mucho! Sebastian just gained a new favorite for us.

Grilled Shrimp Skewers and NY Strip French Dip. OMG the shrimp were awesome with the crispy carrot wedges were a nice side. Drenched my NY Strip hoagie into the french dip since I love it soggy and it was perfectly flavored. The french fries were plentiful and seasoned well but not as crispy as I would like. The restaurant sits on the river but since it was late there was no view, but we were able to hear the live rock n' roll music coming from the stage at the Sandbar. The clean gender assigned bathroom was gorgeous with green ocean themed epoxy flooring, lizard skin walls and bamboo partitions. It was a WOW effect upon entry.

We moved to Melbourne Beach in Jan 2025 and still everything was good. Some changes in dishes we determined were just food costs cuts. This year my son and his family came and we had an early dinner. My 3 yr old granddaughter was excited to go to the shop that was usually by the hostess stand. It was relocated but now had nothing for children. The service was slow but we thought maybe it was busy since it was tourist season. The food was just fair. Last night was my birthday and of all the restaurants in town I chose Blackfins. What a mistake. Walking in was dangerously slick since they had flooding from earlier rain. We were sat in a small booth by the window. We had to walk out of the way since a dog that was a size of a horse was sprawled out on the floor. Our table was absolutely disgusting! It was dirty and sticky and the coasting of shellac had apparently gotten melted and was sticky and black. Even the seat was dirty and I ended up whipping away pieces of paper on my seat with my hands. Everything including my arms stuck to the table. It took awhile for a very young person with zero personality come to take our order. We gave him a drink and appetizer order. I was attempting to forget about how disgusting the table and the large dog was with the view. The drink that didn't have enough ice although I requested a tall glass with lots of ice arrived with the appetizer. It was good despite being served with greasy fried saltines. When I attempted to start eating a very large Woodstork was fishing on the rocks when the people with the large dog started throwing crackers at it..despite signs everywhere not to feed the birds. It then came up to the window and came too close for me to eat since it was eyeing our food. My husband sat still, told me to do so as well and was holding a knife should it attack. After 15 minutes it finally went away. Now our food was cold. We complained to the waiter but all he could offer was, "Thank you for telling me." No offer to relocate. Our main meals came. Both of our fish were way overcooked. Mine was dry and not edible. My husband's was dry but he didn't complain since my birthday dinner was basically ruined anyway. Forget the dessert I just wanted out of that dirty sticky area. So sad! I will have to find somewhere else to take me and my family.

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Some of you know that I am often brought to historic downtowns and villages in hopes of "letterbox seeding" them. As I get close to concluding Historic Downtown Melbourne/Melbourne Main Street, I am moving both south to Sebastian Riverview Area and north to the Eau Gallie Art District. Today, I decided to further check out the Sebastian Riverview Area and it looks like I'll be getting more done here as I discover more "mom n' pop" shops. One of the restaurants in the area I've been to before is Cafe Latte da. Located on the northside of the Sebastian Riverview Area on the riverside of US-1 (across the street from The District), Cafe Latte da is a smallish shop ran by two women. It is a quaint coffee shop that looks like stepping into grandma's house, well, at least the view you'd think seen on classic television, especially on Lifetime. The women are very kind. Very friendly and admirable and I had such a nice conversation with them. As for the food, it was delicious for what they have. Definitely a place you want to support. Now for the overall criticism. As much as I like this place, I most stress critical points that may be a factor for other patrons. For starters, the two women seem to be the only ones running this place, so there is a layer of grime often associated with homes ran by older people. Each menu had a bit of stickiness to it. For me, not a problem. But I know it can be an issue for others. It is quite evident things need to be wiped down. You can especially see crumbs on certain displays. Next, the food menu is good, but can be limited given the limits they have. Take that as you may, but so far, everything they had served me was delicious which is the more important factor in my opinion. Ultimately, I am going to give an overall rating of three out of five stars. It is good to go here if you can be graceful on some things. But there are some, especially some of my friends who are germiphobes and get uppity if a restroom doesn't have a means to open the door without using your hands. Still, give these ladies and their coffee shop some love. They are pillars in expressing and progressing the community with all the local artists displaying their art, events, and activities they support. I truly hope someone can give them the assistance they need because this place is great, but I can sense there can be issues others might see, especially with certain priviledges we Americans have when it comes to eating out.,

It was very unpleasant and present the entire meal. We started with coffee and as I poured a single-serve creamer into my cup it curdled; I've never seen this before and I'm sure this was just a fluke but it seemed like an omen of things to come. I asked for a fresh cup of coffee and more creamer as we were then out, and we placed our food orders along with a glass of OJ. My boyfriend chose sliced tomatoes as the "breakfast side" accompanying his combo and was told they "no longer do that." You can get sliced tomatoes on any burger/sandwich/salad or their plethora of listed BLTs but not on the side? Strange for a diner/cafe, especially during tomato season in FL. Maybe take it off the menu as a listed breakfast side option. After waiting for about 10+ minutes for creamer (two waitresses, three small tables each), I finally went to grab a few from the empty table adjacent from me and was politely scolded by another waitress to "just ask if I needed cream." Well I did, but no one came and I'm not going to sit not being remembered while my now second cup turns cold (no one brought my orange juice either). The couple next to us, who had arrived and ordered after us, got their food first as did a gentleman on the patio, which felt odd/intentional. The couple also were offered sliced tomatoes as a breakfast side option by their waitress, so what's the deal with that? We felt judged. I'd like to mention that the man next to us brought in a dog in a vest reading "emotional support animal" that he initially had in his lap (these are NOT service animals) and later put on the floor. The staff said nothing despite there being a sign on their door stating they were no longer allowing animals inside; they have a full patio of outside seating. It would have been nice of the staff to follow their own rules and offer them a table outside. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to dogs. When we got our food (I had to ask again for the orange juice) I was very disappointed. I had ordered the California Benedict and the "avocado" was pre-packaged guacamole-like paste from a container. The mixture was also warm, as were the soggy tomatoes underneath, almost like they were cooked. It is not difficult to make a simple Benedict and just before serving add some fresh sliced tomato and avocado. Would you serve a burger with hot lettuce and cooked tomato? Same concept. In a word, this meal was unappetizing. I scraped off the topping and ate what I could around it. The eggs were nicely poached, the potatoes seasoned, the English muffin toasted. The OJ was delicious, the best part of the meal. The uneaten removed pile of my entree went seemingly unnoticed by our waitress who was by no means rude but just seemed a bit short with us. My boyfriend's combo, while tasting fine, was smaller than we're used to at most breakfast spots (especially for the menu calling it the "Belly Buster") and he found it difficult to eat his pancakes as they were on the same small plate as his yolky eggs. Overall the food and service both left a bad taste in our mouths and it was not a great experience. We will not return, nor recommend.
