I've experienced her ability to cut long hair and shorter length hair and both have had great results. Got a haircut from Seana yesterday and could not be happier with it. My hair is tricky to cut for most people - I have a lot of thick wavy hair - and I have a lot of difficulty finding someone who can give me a haircut suited for my hair type. Seana listened carefully to all my hair woes and did a great job maintaining my layered bob, along with giving me really cute bangs to freshen up my look. She also gave me great tips on how to dry my bangs and maintain my cut. As an added plus, her studio is beautiful, with loads of beautiful plants adorning the space. I'm very minimal when it comes to daily styling and she has seriously given me the low maintenance hair cut of my dreams! Seana is a color magician. I've seen her for years and I get the same great experience every single time. After a full year of letting my long thick hair grow wild and somehow still struggling to find volume, I finally decided to ask for Seana's help. The experience from booking to sitting my butt in chair was a breeze. She gave very clear instructions and prepped the studio to make me feel safe yet comfy. This proved to be especially smart since my ridiculous beast of a head kept us both in that room for over 3 hours. Towards the end of the night, Seana was professional enough to finish the cut, make adjustments based on my feedback, and style my hair along with some suggestions for maintenance without rushing any of it. I was able to get some bounce at the top without adding too much pouf, giving much needed framing around my round face. Might I add that it has also been very easy to maintain without much styling (my hair doesn't hold anything without an obscene amount of hairspray and I just can't be bothered most days). My hair feels and looks thicker (as well as healthy), it has great movement, and I absolutely LOVE my hair for the first time in a long time. The best thing about Seana is she really, really listens. I've been going to Seana for over 3 years now. Not only is she a genuine human being, she thoroughly listens and cares about giving you the best cut/color that suits your preference and lifestyle. She asks thoughtful questions and gives sound advice to level set expectations. I'm pretty consistent with my hair color and cut, ranging from mid-length to shoulder cuts and medium brown to golden bayalage highlights. When my hair is too damaged to go lighter, Seana is transparent and will offer alternatives to keep the integrity of my hair versus being a "yes" stylist. I appreciate this quality because it shows she cares about the longevity of my happiness with my cut/color, versus giving me something that I'll like for just a week or two, to get a hefty tip out the door. Although I don't stray too adventurously, we do trial different product lines to test tone variation. In the rare times my hair comes out a bit too dark or ashy than preferred, Seana will immediate re-tone or bring me back in the same week. I had an appointment with Seana last week and I am so pleased! I've had my fair share of bad experiences, and I'm the kind of person who tends to avoid getting haircuts for that reason. I approach each new salon experience with a certain amount of fear and skepticism because of that. Seana took the first 10-15 minutes to listen to me talk about my hair, ask questions, and unhurriedly come to understand what I wanted out of my cut.
