The place looked pretty decent for a pub-style restaurant serving food and beer. Met James, who was…read morethe morning bartender. He was very informative about where to go and places to check out in Boise. I ordered one of the local beers and their flagship meal, the Santa Maria Tri Tip Sandwich. As you can see by looking at the photos, the tri-tip was cooked to perfection. It had tomatoes, poblano, and chimichurri sauce on it to add to the flavors of the tri-tip. The bread consistency was great, not too soggy, and with a great crispy texture. I wish they had spread the tri-tip out more to make sure every bite was being celebrated. I also ordered the mac and cheese as the side per the instructions of the bartender, James. Let me say that was one of the best mac and cheeses that I have ever had. Truly amazing creamy texture and full of rich flavor. Everything melted in your mouth. Definitely worth it. I eventually ended up talking to a fellow bar sitter, and he ended up being the co-owner of the place, TJ. He also filled me in on the places to go and, most definitely, the places to travel to, to experience great beer. He was refreshing to talk to since most people don't have the passion for beer that we both represent. I would highly recommend this place for the staff that is there the solid pub style restaurant that they have created. Super easy and relaxed kinda of place.

I'm never disappointed when I go to the lemon tree! Ordered online and got our sandwiches…read morerelatively quick(they were busy). Today we got the sausage and pear sandwich which is a little on the sweeter side, and the Peruvian, which is more on the savory side. Both sandwiches were delicious! We opted for the half sandwich and we picked the lemon tree salad as our side. The lemon vinaigrette is so good! If you're downtown on a lunch date this is the perfect spot!

It was pretty good but not like any banh mi I've had at all. No pickled veggies and the sandwich bread was a far cry from a banh mi baguette. Great bread though! I just thought the name was very misleading and it would've been better to just call it a massaman curry sandwich. I really liked the spiced yam slices, but I felt like the peanut butter almost overpowered the yam sometimes. Could've been lighter on the PB. I ordered the combo meal which was supposed to be a 1/2 sandwich plus a side. If the sandwich portion I got was only a half, then the full size must be huge. I kind of suspect I got a full sandwich. I had the beet salad for my side. It was tasty and fresh, and also pretty sizeable. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The wait time for food was reasonable given that they seemed busy. The loft seating was nice.

High Note features all-vegan, all housemade food, which is just my thing, so I'm really glad I…read morediscovered it during my short stay in Boise. I came here for a late lunch around 2 pm after arriving in Boise. They weren't crowded at this point but business wasn't dead either. My waitress was very friendly. Inside has a lived-in, intimate feel, but it was pretty dark, so much that I wasn't sure they were actually open as I was opening the door. I had the French dip sandwich with a side of tomato basil soup. The sandwich was delicious and tasted homemade in the best way. The "meat" of the sandwich was seitan. I don't THINK it was a perfect meat replica (but I've never had a real French dip), but it was very flavourful. I loved the flavour and the thick cut of their bread, but it didn't have much structure and fell apart easily as I was eating which made the sandwich very messy. The tomato basil soup was a little different. It was slightly creamy but brothy and a little chunky - not a smooth puree. Again, it tasted great and was nice and light, which was a good contrast to the very rich sandwich. It was a little slow, especially considering they weren't that busy. I didn't really mind since I wasn't on a schedule, but this is something to be aware of - don't come here for a quick meal. Not cheap, but worth it for the quality.

The restaurant was cute, and I was excited to try it. I ordered the grilled cheese and mushroom sandwich with tomato basil soup. I liked the bread of the sandwich, it was pretty hearty. The cheese wasn't very melty. My friend got a French dip sandwich, she only ate half and brought the rest back to our Airbnb. The next day when we were departing, she offered it to me for my drive home. The service was ok, it wasn't the friendliest. Prices were a little steep. If I lived nearby, I would come back and give another try.

The service was fast, as we didn't wait the full 45 minutes before being seated. Upon walking in you see an upscale modern atmosphere, and date night ambiance. I felt underdressed as usual in my shorts, but was welcomed nonetheless. We ordered the potato fingerlings, because when in Boise you order potatoes. However I wasn't much of a fan, tasted more like grocery store potato wedges. The other appetizer was the meatballs, which is served with a garlic bread I wish I had an entire loaf of. It was really good and though it seems small it was good enough when cut up, maybe it could've done with 1 more meatball and definitely some more bread. For dinner the kid had a half cheese half crispy pepperoni pizza, which of course he didn't like, not like the chain pizza shops he's used to but I had some and it was delicious. He did like the crust, and still ate a couple sliced. I shared a half Bronco, half Honey Badger pizza with the missus. Everything was good, but the honey badger's grilled onions overwhelmed the taste. My favorite was the Bronco which our California transplant server recommended. It had a nice spice to it that hits the back of your throat just enough to wake you up but not enough to have you reaching for a drink. I already recommended this place to friends that live in the area. That's this critic's review, until next time, I'll be eating.

We started with fingerling potatoes and the meatballs. Both were excellent, although we felt the meatballs had an edge over the potatoes. We ordered a half cheese half pepperoni pizza for our son and we also ordered a half honey badger, half bronco pizza for us. All the pizzas were amazing but the bronco (also the one our waiter recommended) took the top prize. It had a nice taste and the right amount of spice to it. It was delicious and I highly recommend it.
