I love the extensive menu! The food, service & ambiance were great! I had the sea bass which was very good but was still kind of hungry so I ate off my friend dish, stealing 2 sea scallops for a little bit of my sea bass, LOL! If you come here, go for quality not quantity. I am sure the bill was high, but good thing this was a company paid meal. Decided on a date night here on Sunday rainy afternoon and my bride picked this establishment because she wanted some Chinese...well it's Asian fusion really but hey I was game since I hadn't had good sushi or sashimi for quite a while. So here we go.... Ambiance: Nice, not quite upscale but close. Tip - sit in the lounge (we didn't) but I should have chosen to after being sat in the regular main room. Traditional oriental / Asian decor and looked clean. Tables were basic and not super comfortable but hey we were here to eat not lounge right? Service: Greeted right as we walked in and we're asked if we wanted lounge or main room - as I said opt for the lounge. Our waiter came right over and got drinks started without hesitation and was friendly and courteous. Food: Sushi and sashimi platter was good but too much food - must have ingested over 200g of protein in one sitting and probably that in carbs as well but it was good and fresh. Wife had the Mongolian beef (her favorite) and she said it was actually better then most other places (including Changs which for her that means it was really good because she thinks changs is the best - she's not a Yelp elite though - hahahahaha) Price: Average for the plates - nothing too high and nothing too cheap. You'll. Pay $34 for the platter and $14 for the Mongolian beef - with a. Few drinks we were out for $70 which for a date night isn't terrible. Summary: Great place for either a quick pick up or a sit down date night - if you want fancy this is jot it - if you want causal or a bit dressier (a dress and / or jeans and a polo) then your fine. I have been in Nashville for about a week and have been quite disappointed with the food...until I ate here Ordered Mee Goreng which is comparable to Pad Thai with thicker noodles...got it with shrimp and have to say it was the best thing I've had in Nashville by far. Love the vibe, the service as well. My wife had the wild ginger chicken fried rice and she reluctantly let me try it...understandably so...it was sooooo good... Worst seat in the house. So close to the restrooms, fabulous filled the air making it difficult to eat. The Halibut was great but the rice was horrible. It had a spice I could not figure out that was as overwhelming as adding too much cinimum. To top it off the waiter was trying to convince us that kimchi was a Japanese spice. Sat outside and enjoyed the live music. Our waiter was really attentive. We had some black widow and the scallops to start. Both were delicious. I had the miso Sea bass which was very good. They have an extensive drink menu. I had the Meiomi Pinot Noir. My friends had the black cherry lemon drop and the kitty cat cocktail. I didn't try either but they both loved them. Even though they have the dyed ginger I have even ordered from here more ran once and taken it to Arlington Vineyard to share with my friends. The staff is kind here. I am currently having a drink, Ginger Manhattan, while I wait for my to-go order. I am also treating myself to some fresh salmon sashimi. We ordered so much food as it was my friend's birthday celebration. Everything we had was delicious, and we devoured it all. I love their Pink Lady, ahi, avocado, mango, and crunch. For a bit of kick, get the Mexican avocado, cucumber, jalapeno, tuna, yellowtail, cilantro, dusted with crunchy, served with salsa Picante. Then you need to get the Fantasy with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, and avocado. Then we had a spicy tuna and a fresh Salamon roll. Menu is a collection of Asian/Korean/Sushi Fusion with some eclectic spins on some traditional dishes. We also shared Bulgogi Beef in Lettuce Wraps, with some zesty and tasty sauces. The Sashimi Sushi Platter (chef's choice) was very good. Super fresh fish with good portions, but disappointed with the lack of depth of the types of fish, was dominated by salmon and tuna both nigiri and sashimi. Been here twice now, and I'd venture to say it's now our favorite restaurant in Cool Springs. The service has been incredible, with friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff, who have recommended some great dishes. The food has been delicious every time. I wouldn't go back to this viper den if it was the last restaurant in town. My wife and I went there for a belated Valentine's Day dinner...made reservations days ahead of time. The food was mediocre...at best. Bland basic edamame was over $10! For like 20 little beans with salt on them! That's $.50 a bean! But the worst was that we had our little one year old child with us and they didn't have a high chair! We had to keep asking and they said they'd look for one and for over an hour and a half we had to have and feed our one year old on our lap! We talked to the manager and he was one of the rudest people I've ever encountered! He said it wasn't their fault and that they only have 4 high chairs for a restaurant with 200 chairs! Are you kidding me? This is Franklin! There are many families that could use all four on their own! He said his name is Lefterrace Tsavaris. I'd fire him in a heartbeat if he was working for me. Asian fusion done right. This is my new favorite restaurant after a phenomenal date night dinner. Definitely try an appetizer. The stars of the show were the calamari and the sushi sashimi platter. The quality of the fish is very fresh and compares to sushi from the best Japanese restaurants in Nashville. The calamari comes with jalapeño ranch and a garlic chili sauce that, in combination, made my tastebuds quiver in happiness. We also ordered the Beef Rendang and Tamarind Shrimp. I couldn't decipher the tamarind in the dish; it tasted more like a sweet and sour shrimp, but was still good nonetheless. I like how the wok entrees come with a salad on the side. The Beef Rendang was very rich with tender, fall apart beef chunks, curried rice, and roti, a flaky flatbread. I'm not really a drinker, but our cocktails were very good as well. Not too strong, not too sweet. This is definitely a higher end restaurant and you can expect to pay at least $100 for food, drinks, and appetizers. They have live music to set the mood and a very modern atmosphere. My boyfriend and I loved eating here. We will definitely come back for more sushi! read more

I dined at Wild Ginger on Saturday, November 7, 2020 for lunch at around noon. Indoor dining area was clean and they did enforce social distancing during COVID-19 pandemic. Good job. Menu had several specialty sushi items with very interesting names. I saw that the Sakura was a popular choice on Yelp, so decided to order it. The Sakura was roll was unique and something I never had before with its pink rice. The sushi is definitely bigger than your normal sushi roll. The flavor was good and the plating was pretty. The Indigo tower was disappointing. It was bland and was very lacking in flavor compared to the other sushi roll that I ordered. The Wild Ginger Fried rice was really good and seasoned well. The tamarind shrimp was okay but a little too sweet for my palate. Service was friendly and attentive. Given the quality and portion of the food and the service, I think the price value is a little expensive. I would return once in a while for a special dinner celebration or a date. read more
