I would say Wild Ginger deserves 3 1/2 stars. The food was good and the prices are ok. But I've had better chinese food at better prices.

This is an Asian fusion restaurant. Excellent sushi, Chinese food, and nice Thai options. I would say their sushi and Chinese food is their specialty. The pad Thai didn't use the right noodles and the Thai curry was more of sautéed vegetables without the deep broth you typically get for a Thai curry dish. I'm a little skeptical of Asian fusion restaurants, but there weren't a lot of other options my family was interested in, so we picked this place on a Saturday afternoon. Overall, food was good but not amazing. The ambience was too quiet - no background music and not enough customers to create a steady hum of conversation. It was also a bit on the cold side - my sister and I never took our coats off and I noticed the folks at the table next to us didn't, either. I ordered the Pad Thai, which was delicious. They could have given me some more veggies, but it was surprisingly tasty. Had the steak and shrimp habashi it was good but my steak was cold it it was precooked . Everything else was good.

Food was decent. Service was slow. My daughter ordered the bento box and didn't get all the components of the bento box. Had to ask the waitress twice before she even just brought the California roll. My pad see ew was very soy sauced. Everything else was fine. read more

Food is excellent here. Front door let in too much cold. I am told the sushi was excellent also. I had hot and sour soup and it was great and so were the veggie rolls and dipping sauce. Food is delicious and fresh. Service is lacking - no idea on whether you should seat yourself or not. We were dining around 6 pm and while the place was just starting to fill up, some music would have been nice...otherwise we felt like we had to whisper. read more

Wild Ginger is by far one of the best places to eat in Corning New York. All the employees are very friendly and they are very polite. Inside is always clean and well kept. All the food is delicious! I love quality Asian cuisine. These Fusion style Chinese restaurants have never been a favorite of mine. I had a sushi platter here and some Thai curry and I was unimpressed with both. The fish wasn't all that fresh and the rice was bland. The curry I had was also quite boring. Coming from an area with much better Thai and fusion options, I think this place is adequate but only when other options are limited. I can only speak to the dishes my husband and I ordered - chicken with broccoli and masaman curry. For starters, you know there's a problem when the Thai dishes are served with white, not jasmine, rice. The chicken in it was clearly the variety put in their Chinese dishes (thin, low quality). Can hit the spot in a real pinch but not authentic. Husband's beef and broccoli was typical Chinese fare. Will likely return in a pinch for convenient sushi and Thai, but not my preference. read more

Spur of the moment stop for chinese takeout. Both mine and sons portions were significant in size. My son did General Tsao and I had sweet and sour chicken. Both were good. Only thing I found curious is they don't do sweet and sour pork or pork fried rice. So because of this we had beef fried rice for 1st time.I enjoyed it but it really was rice and about 8pieces of beef, no other veggies in it. Overall this is a recommended eatery. read more

Really great quality sushi for being somewhat remote!! The spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail, and red dragon rolls were really good.

I found the sushi here was pretty generic and nothing fancy at all. The rolls are not rolled tight like they should be. Prices are a bit high for what you get. The unagi "bowl" was a unagi plate where the rice not stay as warm, looked pretty but not as functional. read more

If you want average Chinese food with very little flavor besides salt I would highly recommend this my meal was mostly greasy and salty with very weak overly hot tea that I couldn't drink as my main beverage. I was there on a weeknight with only a few customers. The waitress forgot our salad and ignored us throughout the meal. The flavors were muted, and the California rolls were soggy and inedible. Average food, overpriced.. drunken noodles were okay, tofu overcooked. If you want spicy, make sure you ask for it! Sushi was okay, I asked for a substitute for one of the ingredients in a roll due to dietary restrictions and the waitress said "No, that will be too hard for the chef". This is definitely the best Chinese option in Corning. Although the restaurant is rather small, it has a great atmosphere. Waiters are very prompt. I'm vegetarian and they provide many many vegetarian options! I often request an avocado roll with my bento box instead of the California roll. I like the bento boxes and the soup. But it was pretty weird eating lunch because it was almost TOO QUIET. The food was good though. The staff were pretty friendly. I recommend this if you like Asian but you can't find a place that serves it ( though there is one ). If you like Thai too, this restaurant serves it. I like the Udon soup. Excellent service. Very clean. There is a huge selection of Pan-Asian food and everything I have tried is outstanding from the sushi/sashimi to the hibachi dishes. If you want authentic Asian cuisine in Corning, this is the place to go. read more

This place is OK but I'm not sure I'd want to give it another chance with all the other local options. We got Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai and both were disappointing. The Drunken Noodles had very little flavor, were too greasy (and I love greasy noodles) and had very few veggies. The Pad Thai was honestly terrible and tasted nothing like the dish is supposed to. It was more like a greasy pile of noodles with ketchup-y sauce and a pile of peanuts on the side. On the upside, the wonton soup and onion soup were good and the green tea was good if a little weak. The inside is pretty cute. If you do give it a try, I'd suggest steering away from the noodle dishes and seeing if the other options are better. The menu has a lot of variety. read more
