Once I heard about the olive oil base, feta, artichokes, olives, etc. my mind was made up. Service was fast and friendly (which helped in the slice choice) and they took the slices and heated them right up. It's right in the airport so you can people watch or just do your thing. I gave Wild Garlic Pizza at the Reno Airport one star because the pizza was good, as it usually is. Unfortunately, the service left a bad taste. Everything started out fine. We ate our pizza and were still finishing our drinks when we were asked to leave the seating area so they could make room for other customers. We had only been there about 20-25 minutes. There were no signs posted about a time limit, and no one told us there was a limit when we sat down. What bothered me most was that we were never asked if we wanted anything else. Our flight had been delayed, and we were actually considering ordering an alcoholic beverage and relaxing for a little while. Instead, we were simply asked to leave. I understand that airport restaurants can get busy and need tables, but customers should still feel welcome. A simple, "Can I get you anything else?" would have made a big difference. The pizza was good, but next time I'm at the Reno Airport, I'll probably pass on Wild Garlic. It felt more like they were interested in moving customers through quickly than giving them a chance to enjoy their meal or order something else. read more

Despite my best intentions, I still went for this despite knowing it was going to be a mediocre. Hunger is such a jerk sometimes. A slice of pizza and a beer is $10. In terms of airport deals, this is a rather good deal. But what kind of pizza lover goes for just a slice? Like any terrible glutton, I went for two. The pepperoni was so much better than the canadian bacon (read: Hawaiian), though that's not really saying much. Their infamous twist crust looked better than it tasted, but I digress. It was really just doughy subpar pizza in the end. Though the food was obviously lacking, the service was easily the best part of the experience. The woman behind the counter was extremely friendly, offered samples, and was honest about the beer just being hooked to the tap. Note: The tables are actually across the walkway and not a part of the actual storefront. While this might sound perfect for pandemic purposes, the seating / eating area is rather tight. Throughout the year we visit the Reno Tahoe Airport very frequently. It has become a thing for us to arrive hours early to enjoy lunch or dinner at Wild Garlic with a cold beer. We love their pizza options and their garlic bread. They sell by the slice so you have many options to choose from the display case. Best part is we love it and so do the kids. This is one of the few airport options in Reno that we actually really like. Awesome seating to people watch or watch planes takeoff. This is a real convenient, really good pizza. This is not as good as the pizzerias in town because these pizzas sit under a heat lamp, but for a airport meal, it is not bad. They do not have a huge selection of choices, cheese, pepperoni and sometimes other selections. This wild garlic is located in the southwest airlines terminal. The one big negative is cost. I've had a pepperoni slice sit down and to go many times here. Always delicious. Sometimes a little light on the cheese for my taste but still great. Everyone I have interacted with is always very nice They typically always have banana, apples, chips, and candy which is perfect for quick airport hungers. Marty and Sandra were especially kind today. I somehow managed to spill a bottle of juice while reaching for one and the green smoothie went everywhere . They were so kind and insisted on not allowing me to clean it up, I felt terrible but they reassured me that it was fine and they cleaned it up quickly. Wild Garlic outside of the airport is great! Wild Garlic inside the airport leaves much to be desired. They aren't very busy, which means they make pizzas that sit out for who knows how long. The pizza gets stale, but at least they warm it back up for you when you order. Needless to say it wasn't the best pizza I've ever had. But it was quick and did the job! Atmosphere - Small section on the C Concourse of the Reno Airport. Pizzas are waiting under a heat lamp. Ugh. They have space for four people to sit inside the place and cross the hall is more places to sit and charge your devices. Food - It is a pizza by the slice kind of place. Not like I was going to eat a whole sixteen inch pizza for lunch. Ordering a slice does make for a fast turnaround. I had a slice of pepperoni. The down side of their system is the pizza is fully cooked sitting under the heat lamp. I can not imagine the pizza was sitting there long as it is noon. But they take a fully cooked pizza and place it back in the oven for a few minutes. You get that leftover cheese melted again taste. The pizza would have received five stars if it was not for that fact. Service - I felt as if I bothered her by getting a slice of pizza. After that initial reaction things moved smoothly. Future - I think it is one of the better choices inside the airport but I am hoping not. read more

As we landed we were pretty hungry. So I looked up at the menu board and was like "$6 for a slice is a little steep" then I looked at the breadstick like braided crust. And with some nudging from my brother in law i acquiesced. Loved the crust. It was nice and crispy and chewy with lots of it in that braided crust. It had delicious sauce too. I loved that the BBQ chicken also had red sauce. Sometimes on BBQ chicken the sauce is all BBQ and it's too much. But why four stars? You know what I really wanted when I left? A slice of pizza. Unfortunately my veggie slice came out slightly charred on the crust because he was in the middle of making new fresh pepperoni pizzas. It was relatively early and they hadn't brewed any coffee. When asked why not (being that this airport doesn't have a Starbucks), the cashier said they usually don't sell the coffee fast enough and therefore it becomes waste. However she did end up brewing a pot while I was still eating at the counter so I bought a cup after I finished my pizza and chicken ceasar salad. All in all the pizza was pretty good with plenty of veggies on it and my prepackaged salad was alright so I would recommend eating here. By all means if you're thirsty buy water, soda, or beer. Came into the restaurant, line was short and it was a quick check out. The staff was nice and accommodating. (This up the it by 1 star), the food itself was 2 stars. The pizza was cold, and they only had 1 slices of veggie pizza ready. It was pretty expensive like all things in the airport, and all the salads had meat. I got a slice of veggie pizza and although their brick and mortar shops in Reno are amazing, their airport location left me mehhh. The cheese wasn't stringy and melted, it was cold like out of the fridge the next day, and the crust was pretty hard. They have a nice sitting area a crossed from the shop, that also helped that extra star from a 2-3. Also, the honey was a nice relief when she handed me a bag of prepackaged kens ranch for my crust. It's quick so if your in a hurry it's a good place to go, but the pubs looked way better in the new wing of the airport. read more

I am no big fan of pizza, but there is such a limited choice here that I have to to pick between the two restaurants inside Gate B - Wild Garlic or Peet's Coffee. A slice of pizza averaging about 5 dollars is a bit pricy, but again, there isn't much choices when you are stuck in the airport. With that said, the pizza I tried at Wild Garlic was actually pretty good. Marty was the only one working at the time I placed my order. I wanted a slice of Hawaiian, but it was sold out. Apparently, a family of 3 just purchase the entire pizza. Not only was Marty very accommodating, he also very considerate. He made sure I would get my pizza within a certain time and that I would have the first slice when the pizza was ready. While I was waiting, I was watching how Marty work. He was the king of multitasking- I witnessed him serving, cooking and charging at the same time! It got so busy that I wish I could give him a hand. It was not until the rush die down that another worker showed up... The pizza was better than expected. It was fresh, got lots of cheese and had plenty of toppings that were evenly distributed. I couldn't complain! I overheard Marty training the new employee that they had to put 9 oz. of cheese on every pizza! 9 oz of cheese!! The slice that I got was a combo which had sausage, onions, green peppers, and olives. They throw it in the oven for about a minute or two to heat it up. Not the best pizza but i have also had worse. The end crust was pretty thick almost to the point that it was a breadstick. I asked if I could get some pizza sauce on the side to dip it in and was ready to pay because hay, its the airport where they gouge you on pretty much everything. To my surprise, they didnt charge me. I guess nice workers do exist at airports. Unfortunately, this was the only positive highlight. Overall, I dont think I will eat at this place again any time soon. I can more than afford to lose a few pounds or 20.
