Literally cannot say enough about how fantastic the pizza is here. I've been getting hounded by a friend to try it for the last year or so and finally got around to trying it the other day. My millennial heart was overjoyed with the shop's musical choices and decor elements, with several references to TMNT, Jurassic Park, Pokémon, and other popular 90's kid references scattered everywhere (even in the bathroom). My wife and I will definitely be back (probably consistently now) and we're looking forward to trying their sister pizza shop in midtown.
We're in Reno for my daughter's volleyball tournament and had read so many great reviews about their gluten-free pizza that we had to give it a try. The restaurant was a little busy when we arrived. We ordered the Confit Pterosaurs Wing to start, along with two gluten-free pizzas and one regular pizza. Unfortunately, we waited quite a while for the wing, and it didn't come out before the rest of the food as expected. My husband's regular pizza arrived first, then about 20 minutes later the wing came out, then about 10 minutes later our gluten-free pizzas. It was a bit disappointing that the appetizer didn't come out first, and overall the food took quite a while. Our waitress also rarely checked in on us. I had ordered a side of arugula with my pizza, but despite asking twice, it never came. That said, the gluten-free pizza was really good, best we have had with thick crust and the wing was great! My husband said his pizza was delicious! The food was solid, but the service could have definitely been better.
R Town Pizza is hands down the best spot in Reno. Their Detroit-style pizza is legit, thick, airy crust with the super crispy cheese edges is perfection. I got the 313 and the panopoulos. Both were incredible. The staff is friendly and quick, even when it's busy. It was absolutely packed with a constant line and waitlist. They sold out of dough by 6pm on a Friday. It is good to see a local business booming.
Ordered 3 Pizzas for Super Bowl. This is some of the best pizza I have ever had, I heard on the street it's made with a focaccia bread recipe that the owner spent a lot of fine tuning and you can definitely tell the difference. I am normally a thin crust type of person and I think this is the only style I can have that is thick. My favorite was the D Sting over the Spirit of Detroit, and I unfortunately only ordered a 4 corner instead of an 8 corner with the 313, so my friends already scarfed it down before I could try. Guess I have to go back (twist my arm). But seriously though this place is legit, I think Guy Fieri even went there recently too with one of his shows - way to represent Reno!
I was told about this place and decided to come here to celebrate my birthday! The interior was smaller than it looks like it would be on the outside. With a single room of 5 booths and about 6 tables. As well as a small bar with about 10 chairs. Very small for sure! Due to the small size of the place the decoration was limited, but one really cool thing was that one entire wall was one giant very weird pizza drawing. It was so weird but so cool! Our waitress was very kinda and patient with us as we took a little while to order since this place was completely new to us! One thing that kept happening that was weird was just how often any of the waitresses bringing out food would drop something. Mostly knives, but the occasional sauce cup too. It was odd... I decided to do a 4 corner Panopoulos pizza! And wow, it was delicious! The pizza was cooked very nicely all throughout, the ingredients all went so well on it, and the provided ranch was delightful! Very delicious pizza! Only complaint I had was some of the corners were black burnt. Overall this was very delightful! The pizza was very tasty, the environment was nice, and the staff were friendly! A very delightful birthday dinner for sure! I highly recommend this place to any pizza lovers!
I just have to say Marvin is a genius!! We went in today (Sunday) and the joint was jumping!! Luckily a booth was getting cleaned as we walked in. We ordered the special for January! It's a potato vindaloo pizza. We added chicken! It was fabulous!! The minute it was delivered both my DH and I grabbed a piece. It was smoking hot but we could hardly wait to dig in!! And it did not disappoint !! We were here last month for the Xmas special and it was just as good as last year (2024). Which I did a review for. Anyway, if you're in the area it's the best pizza place I've ever been to... and the owner (Marvin) is killing it!!
We stopped by for dinner after a long day of volleyball so we were hungry. We decided to try this place because it was nearby. We got a table right away. We ordered the cheese bread and a half and half Detroit style pizza. The cheese bread came out pretty quickly. The pizzas however took a very long time, I lost track of time but I want to say we waited at least an hour or more. The staff were very nice about it and tried to make it right by bringing us drinks while we waited. The cheese bread and pizzas were delicious. We did enjoy the food. The inside had a decent amount of seating, they also had outside seating. The place seemed nice and clean.
R Town Pizza was so good. We ordered one 4-corner pizza split El Vaquero and Japan Style and it was seriously delicious. Super crunchy corners, fluffy crust, and the toppings were 10/10 across the board. We also got the Stoney Style potatoes and they are an absolute MUST. Crunchy on the outside, loaded with toppings, and super filling -- honestly could order those every time. Tried the OG meatball sub too. The meatballs were a little on the dry side, but they added a ton of sauce which totally made up for it, so still enjoyed it. It is more on the pricey side -- about $65 for a small pizza, one sandwich, one side of rojos, and a brownie -- but the quality and experience were there. The restaurant has plenty of seating, old-school arcade machines (which is a fun touch), and the service was top notch. Would definitely come back

I am unable ti have any dairy and the vegan cheese and vegan ranch is such an amazing option. The service is always superb, they really are conscious of my dairy allergy. You can tell the owner pours a lot of time and effort into training his staff and those who work for him hold him in high regards. Amazing staple in the Reno community.
This was my second time ordering from this spot -- the first was great, but this round missed the mark. We ordered through DoorDash and it took a little over an hour to arrive, which we didn't mind. First up: the JoJo Potatoes. As a true potato lover, these missed the mark. The container was half-empty, and the potatoes themselves were undercooked, cold, soggy, and totally lacking seasoning. They were very bland. For $12, they were nothing special and needed a full rescue in the air fryer. The menu listed a "choice of sauce," but ketchup was the only included option--everything else came with an extra charge. I ordered the Pepinillo Ricardo + Peace Bridge split 4-corner pizza. The concept was great -- I liked being able to try two flavors. The flavors themselves were good: the buffalo chicken with shaved celery, bacon, and ranch hit the right notes, and the pickle, bacon, and ranch combo was fun. The Japan News Club was flavorful too. But the actual pizza execution fell flat. The crust was soft with zero crisp, and the whole thing felt scaled back compared to my first order. We ended up air-frying pizza slices just to give them some life. Overall, it was underwhelming for the price. Definitely not in the top-5 pizza spots in town, and not a place I'll be rushing back to anytime soon.
We were seated immediately, even though they were pretty busy. It's a cool place inside, they have pinball machines and Guy has been there before, so there's an autograph on the wall. We had been told to try this place out by a coworker. I prefer a thin crust pizza, but on occasion I do like to have a thicker pizza. We had the Three One Three, which is pepperoni, but they have a big selection of specialty pizzas or you can create your own. They also have a nice list of appetizers, we had the garlic cheese bread, which may be my favorite of all the pizza joints I've tried in Northern Nevada. They also have a "secret menu" to choose from. I really liked their sauce, the pizza was really good and filling. We had the 4 corner since there was just 2 of us and we had leftovers. I would definitely recommend this place and will return because I want to try their meatballs.

We recently made a very last-minute visit to R Town Pizza, and I'm really glad we did! I had only tried it once before, but this was my first time actually going in and ordering a full meal. We ordered the RoboCop pizza, the spinach artichoke dip with toasted rounds instead of chips, JoJo potatoes, and a single slice pizza for my daughter. Everything was honestly so good. The service was great too, and everyone there was really friendly. We ended up sitting outside because it was such a nice day, although it did feel a little stuffy inside. If you sit outside, you order inside first and then head out to your table, so anytime we needed something like napkins or ketchup, we just had to pop back in and ask. It honestly wasn't a big deal though because everyone was so nice. The atmosphere inside was fun too -- there were pinball machines and TVs everywhere. Everything felt fresh and welcoming, and I really enjoyed sitting outside. The single slice for kids is such a great idea. My daughter's slice came as a little corner piece served in its own mini skillet with the toppings she picked. It felt like the perfect little personal pizza for a kid. The RoboCop pizza was delicious. I loved the crispy toasted cheese edges, and the toppings were amazing. It had a little spicy kick to it, but not overwhelming at all -- just perfect. I also added ricotta because I love ricotta on pizza, and it made it even better. The JoJo potatoes were great too, but the real star for me was the spinach artichoke dip. I order spinach artichoke dip pretty much everywhere I go, and this one was seriously one of my favorites. Getting it with the toasted rounds instead of chips was definitely the move. Honestly, I could've just eaten that and been happy. The only downside for me was the pricing. The food is absolutely delicious, but the pizzas are definitely pricey. In my opinion, around $21 for a four-corner and $42 for an eight-corner pizza feels a little crazy. That said, the quality and flavor were really good. Overall, I would definitely go back. It's more of a splurge/treat-yourself kind of pizza spot for us rather than an every-week place, but it was super tasty and worth trying. read more

Some of the best pizza in the city! The meatball appetizer was just as delicious as the pizza itself. The pizza is deep dish style to perfection. The different types of pizzas are all unique and the few we tried were very tasty! There's also build your own options if your looking to try something that's totally unique to your tastes. The service was very friendly and attentive. The place is totally casual, if you're looking for a great pizza either to dine in or take out this is your place. read more

I truly loved their Detroit style deep dish. Great combo of ingredients on a light airy dough. A fantastic pizza! Just as amazing is the really cool staff that take care of you at R Town. Sam is just a gem. She looks after your stay, with a genuine and helpful sweetness, and ever ready smile. The manager on duty checked in on me a couple of times as well. I noticed the grinder sandwiches, and came back the next day for the bacon grinder sandwich. Sam made we an awesome Caesar salad to go with that stellar sandwich. Great pizza and sandwiches, nice selection of draft beers, phenomenal service and dang good prices makes this place a winner! read more

This is a neat little spot. The decorations are fun and the open kitchen was pretty neat. The staff seemed to have a genuine happiness with each other and watching the kitchen was fun. I would recommend not sitting at the bar where we sat as there was a lot of box building and dishes being placed, built, and moved around us. We ordered the 4 sided Robocop pizza. I will be honest I'm not sure I personally enjoy Detroit style pizza. It was pretty doughy and soggy In the middle. The pepperoni was crispy and delicious and the toppings worked well together. I watched a couple of different pies that looked really good. Overall this place was pretty affordable for what we got and I will be back to give it another shot. read more
Another amazing visit to R-Town. We took my father who was visiting from out of town and they were pretty blown away. I swear if R-Town ever goes anywhere I might have a temper tantrum, this is BY FAR the best pizza in Reno, no competition. Service here was an is always fantastic, and the beers hit the spot. My only critique is for the Unmoored cocktail, hard pass, skip that one and remove it from the menu... 313 Prime + Ricotta is just pure joy and happiness, and the Panopoulous with some added jalapeños was a whole new level of "FLAVORTOWN," no wonder Guy Fieri just stopped in for a visit. Can't wait to be back, and can't bring myself to eat pizza anywhere in Reno but here.... I even recently got some delivered and the quality was absolutely consistent, piping hot and delicious. read more
I SO wanted this to be good. We heard so many good things about R Town. This is a Detroit style Pizza, served in a rectangle deep dish tray, provding 6 slices of their "4 corners". We ordered the Panopoulos, which is Canadian Bacon, Bacon, Pineapple Jam, topped with Red Sauce Strips and Shaved Parmesian. R Town's take on the classic Hawaiian. I SO wanted this to be good, but alas the Pizza God's had other ideas. The dough and pizza was just undercooked, resulting in a "soggy", "doughy", "mushy" experience. I don't know if the oven was too hot, because the toppings were burnt, while the dough was clearly undercooked. My wife and I ate some of our first slice and both decided we had enough. The pizza went into a box and we left. In our family, pizza in the fridge will never make it past day 2. The pizza is still there. I SO wanted this to be good. read more
Stopped in for my birthday and everything was great. The staff here has really learned how to juggle their consistently busy evenings while still providing top notch service and taking special precautions with my gluten free food. We arrived around 5:40 on a Saturday and just beat the huge rush. As per usual, the place was clean, servers were attentive, and the music set a vibe. R Town has definitely become a favorite. read more

I wanted to know what is the scuttlebutt with R Town Pizza. Folks, there is no scuttlebutt. R Town Pizza is the real deal. A deep dish pizza with quality ingredients, and baked to perfection can be found, right here in the Biggest Little City. Take it from me: best pizza I have ever had. Be patient if you would like to eat there, lots of people want the same thing : real pizza. Today we had the Motown Pizza which consisted of the deep dish dough, CHEESE, SOPPRESSATA. BACON, FENNEL SAUSAGE, RED ONION, MUSHROOM, BELL PEPPER, CASTELVETRANO OLIVE, RED SAUCE. All of these toppings with their delicious pizza sauce and you have the makings of an unforgettable pizza experience. There is a full bar, and a menu of nonalcoholic mock cocktails. There is plenty of parking available, friendly staff. 2 - 4 corner pizzas, 2 beers, one cocktail $88, tip included. We did not know how filling the pizza could be. We had one 4 corner pizza left over to bring home. One 4 corner pizza is enough for 2 people. Definitely on my list of Reno favorites. See you there. read more

8/1/2025 first time trying. El Vaquero 4 corner with side of Yeehawt spicy ranch. Had it door dashed to me. It was Delicious, spicy with a lot of toppings. Definitely will try this place again. 8/8/2025 came back for more but this time I went inside instead of using DoorDash. This place was clean, had a nice small bar section with IPA's and 5 pinball machines. The music that was playing was everything I listen to, and ALL the staff were super friendly with amazing service. I give this place a 10 out of 10. read more

Yet again, another great experience at R Town. There's something about the ricotta that levels up the pizza experience. If you're looking for those thick, crispy edges, this is your spot! Don't settle for the fast food chains, because they don't even come close to this. The atmosphere has a retro, arcade style feel and the pizza has any flavor you're craving. Just take a look at the Normcore in the video! And if you're a messy eater, don't worry, they have you covered! You can wear the box as a bib! lol. Funny but true. The box has a cutout perfect for keeping your shirt grease free. read more
We were greeted as we walked in and asked dine in or take out. We wanted to dine in. We were given menus and a choice of tables. We decided on splitting the St Clair pizza (spinach, artichoke hearts, mozzarella, and whipped ricotta and the Eastern Market-traditional, a meatball grinder with red sauce, mozzarella cheese and peppercinis. It comes with a half everyday salad-mixed greens, shaved parm, red onions, sliced tomatoes with their house vinaigrette. All of it was delicious. Each of the items had a little kick in a good way. I really really enjoyed their pizza!!!! They have unique pizza options and they are very generous with toppings/sauce. The crust is thin and light and not overly crispy which I like. The service was really friendly and attentive as well. No complaints! I love that they have an abundance of outdoor seating and they're dog friendly too! read more
Delicious pizza! Came here with a large party, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating of us. We ordered 1 salad and 3 pizzas for 5 people, and it was definitely more than enough to feed us all. Everyday Salad was full of veggies, and was solid. For the pizza every one was delicious but I would say that the Axel Foley was my favorite, the honey on it gave it a nice sweetness. 313 and Motown pizzas were also great and i love the detroit pizza dough. it was crispy but also firm. I would definitely come back next time I am in Reno. read more

Reno has a lot of great options for pizza. So many. I mean, I guess that depends on what you like, but I'm always thinking what type of pizza I want instead of where to order from. Detroit style is what R Town provides. This pan style is really delicious. My advice is to always add the D-Hive hot honey drizzle. I think you'll enjoy it. Best pizza boxes in town! read more
What a yummy surprise of goodness! R Town pizza is packed with flavor and texture. It is now one of my favorite pizza in Northern Nevada. I really enjoyed the two different kinds of pizzas - meatball and pepperoni. They both had yummy seasoning, and complimented each other well. We even tried their gluten pizza - delightful. I also love the was you can turn their pizza box into your own carton creations - great job. Excited to try more. read more
I have been to a couple of Yelp events where R pizza was featured. The samples I had were so amazing that I knew that I had to come to the restaurant which is located across from Atlantis on South Virginia. We went before a showed in downtown Reno on a Friday night so we knew it was going to be crowded but we were fortunate enough to come early and get a table. There were tables available inside but we wanted to sit outside because the weather was so nice. A very nice young gentleman by the name of Jaden assisted us with drinks, menus and our order. He is very very pleasant and welcoming. And very enthusiastic about the restaurant. He gave me a couple of options and we decided to try them Motown pizza which had a lot of protein and the shrimp and chili appetizer. We were served the appetizer in a hot cast iron skillet with very tasty toasts on the side for dipping. The pizza came after. We ordered the four corner instead of the eight corner which was a good idea because it was eight large slices. I love this pizza because it's cooked in cast iron and the crust is crusty and cheesy but it's very soft inside and it's just loaded with toppings. There are quite a few signature pizzas and I put a picture of their menu offerings. Our drinks were strong and good and they did have alcohol-free beers as well as sodas, tea, lemonade. We didn't have any room for dessert because we also added a delicious cheesy garlic bread which was more cheese than bread I think. The service was great and our needs were immediately addressed. My first visit but I will definitely be going back because the pizza's delicious, I love the outdoor patio and the food, of course, I knew was going to be great. Faaaaantastic! The line was out the door, which is always good to see. Come early, as they run the risk of selling out completely like they did when we came on a Friday! Staff was very communicative, friendly and overall atmosphere was upbeat. Everything was thoroughly cleaned between seated guests being given a table. The playlist was fun, and not too loud. The decor is rad. I think overall offering a walk up bar for soda, beer or cocktails helps keep the waiting guests more engaged and less likely to leave- nice idea there! Beer selection was amazing- crafts from other states included beers and ciders, so try something new for fun. Oh yeah, and they have some fun pinball machines so be sure to bring your quarters. Checked out R Town Pizza with my husband for the first time last Friday night, and we were so glad we did! The restaurant had a line out the door with a busy team in the kitchen. They have an open kitchen setting which is always fun to watch the magic happen. We started with the Calabrian Shrimp with toast points. They definitely packed the heat with the Calabrian chili and a slight sweetness of the BBQ. So delicious. As for the pizza, we were so impressed with the variety that was offered. And if you scan the barcode on the menu you will find a "secret menu" with even more options. We opted for 2 4-corner pizzas, the Robocop and the Motown. Both were incredible, every piece perfect with a crunch on the crust and the sauce with a perfect tang. The portion sizes are generous we ended up taking some home after being full to the brim. We will definitely be coming back for their lunch specials and to try out some of their secret menu pizzas. read more

We had heard great feedback from friends about this pizza place. We had tried to previously stop by twice during the evening but they had a sign on the door that they had sold out. This time we stopped by earlier during the lunch hour. The cashiers told us there was a wait but we could sit outside (with no service). We took the offer. We tried the Cesar salad, Motown pizza and garlic parm potatoes. The pizza and salad were delicious. The only downside was when you went to bite the potatoes the inside falls apart and gives it an off texture. read more
