The biscuits and bacon gravy are simply heavenly. Kind and friendly service. We will be back!

What a wonderful place! Everyone from the host to our server was magnificent. They all had such great personalities. Not just professional but funny, and they really showed their individual personality. I love that. The food is nothing to sneeze at either. So many wonderful choices and you can even order half orders of much of it. I'm not a monster so I didn't do that but it's still a nice option if you want to live a sad, sad life. I had the Kalamity Katie's Border Benedict Green chili cheddar corn cakes, topped with chorizo, two poached eggs and queso fundido, pico de gallo, sour cream, green onions and avocado. Skillet potatoes and an Everything muffin. Delicious! On the menu it has a star by it. I think this means the half thing. But it could mean heart attack risk. Regardless, delicious. This is a chain which I generally don't love but this one stands out with personality. The atmosphere is very bright and airy. read more

Staff was amazingly friendly and food incredible. I had the surfer girl omelet which was good, I think it just wasn't the omelet for me, but if you're a fan of cream cheese it was light, fluffy, perfect prepared and of a good size. Skillet potatoes were predictable (it is what it is) but made a good side. Had a pancake with strawberries and bacon crumbles, this is their super success. Fluffy, light, and tasty. Along with a fabulous mimosa and cafe latte, I very much enjoyed my breakfast. Good menu, big variety, something for everyone. read more

Treated a friend for lunch, and just requested 2 of what my friend ordered 2 eggs, a 3" diameter steak, 3 slices of bacon and waters. I was a little shocked at a bill for $35!! I've no problem with quality or preparation just a bit of sticker shock in what I thought should have come in around $20 tops. read more

My sister and I decided to grab some breakfast to go, and she'd looked this place up beforehand. We found plenty of options on the menu, I decided on a half order of the Return of the King pancakes and some breakfast tots. While we were waiting, the manager came and gave us complimentary fresh squeezed orange juice, which I'd gladly come back for. I got some pancakes with a melty peanut butter sauce. The pancakes are definitely meant for lazy Sundays: moist and fluffy but dense and filling simultaneously. Not sure who developed that alchemy, but they win in my book! I'll definitely be back. read more

I know it's a CHAIN but not all items are available at each location. That being said I have nothing bad to say about this place - I have been here probably 4-5 times now (I forget to check in). The BLUEBERRY muffins are dreamy and then if you are an omelet person like me: Surfer & Creole are both amazing go for what you are feelings I don't think you can go wrong with any of their omelet's (that's just what holds my attention). They also have a good recommended eggs benedict. SIDES: they have spinach, with tomatoes and garlic instead of potatoes (yeah for low carb options - saving those for the muffin). Oh and I know I mentioned the muffin but its an amazing way to top off the end of the meal!! What would make it better: INTERNATIONAL CREAMER yup - some ol' flavoring for the coffee would make one of my favorite places even more irresistible!! read more

BRUNCH PLEASE! By far one of my favorite spots for a great mimosa, and a very delicious filling breakfast. First off, the menu has endless choices, no matter what you wake up craving, the menu will have something to appeal to your wants. I always get the buffalo chicken omelet, which comes with amazing potatoes and a muffing ! I can only usually eat half and I am full, and best part is it doesn't break your bank! The mimosas are so good from the plain to the fresh fruit options. If you are a breakfast fan and have not been here I HIGHLY recommend it. Also sometimes the line may seem long but don't let that steer you away, it typically moves pretty quickly! read more

The coffee, OJ, and muffins are delish! I've been to Wild Eggs a handful of times. Everyone I've gone with has always enjoyed everything we've ordered. My most recent visit I had the coffee to drink and Surfer Girl omelette with the everything muffin and skillet potatoes. So yummy! My girlfriend ordered the Big Stack pancakes and boy is the name fitting. The pancakes were HUGE. Way too much for just one person. She also added on stawberries for an additional $1.49. She got a whopping 6 slices (not whole) of strawberry. The ratio there just didn't add up. It also was definitely not worth the additional cost. The service has always been great. I do wish they'd give recommendations or mention how big or small some of the dishes they offer are. read more

I wish I could give this 0 stars! This place is a racist piece of garbage. My partner and I came because their menu had a lot of breakfast options. When we got into the restaurant there were maybe 5 tables seated which was not a lot as their were several open tables and booths. The host sat us at the back by the bathrooms, even though as I just mentioned there were several open tables that were distanced from others. But we were still just happy to finally get breakfast. However, we sat at our table for 10 minutes without anyone coming to us asking if we wanted/needed anything (even though three servers walked past our table several times). The final straw was that a table of about 8 people came in at our 7 minute mark of waiting, we're sat, and within a minute a server approached their table and took the drink orders for all 8 people! We immediately got up, informed the host of the piss poor service and how racist they were acting (and yes the way we were serviced was racist, consciously or unconsciously), and then left. We will not be returning and I will not be recommending this place to anyone. And now I have to search for another place to eat. read more

I really enjoy the food and service. High quality food at a reasonable price. If that isn't enough, then you are too hard to satisfy.

Delicious options...can't go wrong with whatever you order. The savory muffins are a pleasant change to traditional sweet ones and 100x better than just toast. read more

While in Indianapolis visiting family, we thought it would be nice to have Sunday breakfast together. After doing my Yelp research, I thought Wild Eggs would be a good option. It was definitely a great choice. Be sure to get there early though, because it does get packed in there. We waited about about 20-25 minutes before being seated. While waiting, there was complimentary coffee offered which was a nice touch. When we did get seated, I was so excited to see the whole restaurant. There's actually a rounded bar that guests can sit for their meal that I thought was super cute! Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. She really made the experience worth the wait. I ordered the lemon berry mimosa to start. For my meal, I had the breakfast burrito and substituted the fried potatoes for tater tots. The breakfast was amazing and my family seemed to enjoy their meal as well. Again, this place is packed from open to close, but I cannot wait for the next time to try Wild Eggs another time. The executed in food, service and experience! read more

Sophie was phenomenal here! We had the best experience here. Her recommendations were perfect. I recommend the tots!

Third visit. The food was great...as usual! Mr. Potato casserole was a hit. My son loved his breakfast burrito. And I walked on the wild side and tried the Creole Omelet. It wasn't my favorite dish that they have but it was really good. We will be back! read more

The service was terrific! Our server was super friendly and helpful. We walked right in and we're seated without a wait --- on Saturday morning during brunch prime time? Love. I'm giving it a three, though, because I wasn't able to drive home without first stopping down the road at Qdoba to get sick. I don't have food allergies or sensitivities, and I wasn't hungover --- I know, that would be my first question, too. I was sad that my first experience wasn't stellar, but I'm excited to try again and hope for less of a reaction next time! ;) read more

Visited Wild Eggs recently while in town for a wedding. The food was great and prices were good. When we heard there was a crazy lo g wait, we ordered carryout and it was still very good. We love eggs Benedict and they came through. Will go back next time I'm town. Ps - add a little more hollandaise to the eggs. read more

Awesome service, great food! Very clean & following precautions. Highly recommend!! My waffle was perfect!

Everything about this place was simply excellent. The food was absolutely perfect. We had chicken and waffles, and a steak omelette with a blueberry muffin. All of it was just delicious. Our server DJ was excellent as well and explained everything on the menu with great detail. The restaurant is clean and greeters are very pleasant. I travel a lot and eat all over the place, so this review is very well deserved. I immensely enjoyed this experience. read more

We tried Wild Eggs for the first time this morning, as my husband and I are always looking to try new (to us) breakfast places. First thing, the restaurant is so pretty - lots of fun colors, clean, and fun breakfast-themed items on the walls. We were immediately ushered to a table, and greeted by Chris! Trust me, you want Chris as your server. He was attentive, funny, and ready to provide any and all suggestions on what to try on the menu. My husband is notoriously indecisive, and he gave Chris three different items he was trying to decide on, and with no hesitation, Chris told him his favorite of them all. He also let us know about the breakfast tots, which were SO GOOD. Get them, they were worth the small up charge in our opinion! My husband got the mushroom and garlic scramble with the breakfast tots and everything muffin. He ate every bit (minus the few bites I took). I had the raspberry and lemon pancakes with a side of skillet potatoes. My only criticism is that I wished there was more lemon curd to equal the raspberry! Otherwise, it was a sweet and delicious dish that bested me in the end. TL;DR - Get the breakfast tots, have Chris as your server, and don't hesitate to ask questions! You won't be disappointed. read more

On a road trip heading home we were not able to get in the Louisville location and continued on to Indianapolis. We did get seated quickly (as I had made a reservation). Clean and bright inside. My son got the cheeseburger kids meal...very basic. Daughter got the cinnamon roll and scraped off all the icing (too sweet). Husband and I got the bennies, chicken fried steak and kalamity Katie. Both were ok, neither bad nor spectacular. The poached eggs however were all cooked solid. When my husband showed the server and asked for new eggs she had no idea that they are to be runny. They did replace my husband's eggs. I just left mine as is but won't be going back. read more

Solid breakfast/brunch place. We came on a Saturday about 11am and easily found a parking one crosswalk away from the restaurant. We were seated with no wait. Girlfriend started with a wild berry mocha - delicious. Food arrived quickly. Return of the king (we got the peanut butter syrup on the side) is a stack of pancakes with chocolate chips, bananas, and whipped cream on top. Very good, but stick with three pancakes, we got five and it was two much even between two people. Mom had corner beef hash - it's not the kind that's mushy and looks like it's from a can (although I don't actually hate that kind), it's actual pieces of thinly sliced meat mixed in with home style potatoes. Decent. I asked for my eggs over medium and they actually were! We'll definitely keep this place in the lineup for weekend brunch. read more

I enjoyed a very quiet weekday brunch. Wild Eggs is cute and kitschy. I could have actually used a bit more decor to really amp up the 50s style charm. I ate a very standard breakfast (omelette, potatoes, toast). Nothing to write home about but it was good. I could have used a hit of pizzazz on the potatoes. It definitely feels fresher than any old diner. If I go again, I'll have to try one of the sweet items instead. The best part of my meal was definitely the service. They were super attentive and friendly and made sure I was enjoying myself. read more

Every time we come here we leave full and happy. Service is great and they are always on top of the wait list. We've never waited more than 20 minutes, even on what looks like the busiest days. I've gotten something new off the menu and everything has been delicious! If you're looking for a great brunch drink their bloody Mary is perfect. Right amount of spice and taste. It's hard to choose but my favorite meal has been the Kalamity Katie's border Benedict. read more

I typically don't like breakfast so that alone plus the the 5 stars I gave should tell you enough - check this place out! Warning it's pretty popular on Sunday mornings so there may be a wait but it's worth it. The fresh squeezed orange juice is the best I've ever had. When you order coffee, they will put an entire pot in your table for you to keep so you never have to worry about getting a refill from the server. When your meal arrives they offer fresh cracked pepper table side. These are just a few of my favorite things about this place. My favorite menu item is the Mr. Potato Head. Try it and don't think twice. You may never order anything again. The Surfer Girl is also delicious, it comes with a muffin which are great. Also beware the pancakes are HUGE, like the size of a plate big and fluffy. So consider just order 1 instead of a whole stack. read more

This is the third location of Wild Eggs I've been to! The first was in Louisville, the second in Carmel, and now finally, and long last, the downtown location! (Yippee!) I brought my dear friend here on her birthday. Our waitress was absolutely incredible. She made our whole experience even more incredible (hence the five stars!) She guided us through the menu (wild eggs veteran though I may be, I still like to hear the favs of the staff). We both decided on the Mr. Potato head casserole, and by George am I glad that I did! It was divine. (Pro Tip: Cholula is your friend.) I also ordered an espresso over ice with cream, it was brought in a mug, which was the only strange part of our experience, but when you go off cuff and order something not on the menu, you can't be too upset when the vessel in which it's served is a little different that what you expected. But hey! It was excellent espresso. Definitely would order it again. The food was hot, delicious, and came in a timely manner. The restaurant is clean, not too noisy, and in the perfect location. Cannot wait to come back for more food and great service! read more

good options for gluten-free folks - eggs, potatoes, gf bread. It's located in a cool part of town, about .3 miles from downtown. It's crowded on weekend so expect a 30 minute way, the restaurant doesn't take reservations and will give you a buzzer when your table is ready. We sat at the breakfast bar and ordered immediately. There is a TV playing sports, and it's a nice relaxing place to grab breakfast (at the breakfast bar, that is). We had the Bennies gone wild - a mushroom eggs Benedict. It was bit heavy. The eggs were covered in a smokey Bernaise sauce on top of a mushroom patty all on top of a pancake. It's a bit rich for my taste. The mushroom omelette was meh - the eggs were kinda mushy. The breakfast tamale was a miss - two eggs atop of a tamale wasn't our thing. Breakfast entree all came with a side of grits - we got the daily special grits, bacon grits. It was okay, but surprisingly lacked flavor despite the presence of bacon. read more

We were seated immediately by a very nice hostess. Then we waited for 18 minutes before we went to ask who our waiter was. 5 minutes later no one had come over so we left. The table next to us was seated after we were and they had their food when we exited. Save your money and go somewhere wIth better service!! read more

Been to the original location in Louisville a couple times, and it's definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots. So when I was staying in Indy, I was elated to find that a Wild Eggs had opened here. My wife and I were prepared for a long wait, if it was anywhere near as popular as the original. We called ahead to see how long the wait was. Phone was disconnected. Hmm. Must be really busy. We arrived around 11am to a crowd waiting in and around the entrance. We were told there would be a 45 minute wait. Curiously, there were 8 open tables! Over the course of the 45 minutes, never once was every table sat, even as the crowd waiting to sit remained. I'm sure there was a logistical restaurant reasoning to this that I don't know about. We were sat and brought some water glasses that felt like they had been rinsed in someone's spit. They smelled like dirty dishwater. We decided to pour our water into styrofoam coffee cups instead. Our server, before she got to us, was complaining about management to the table next to us. She seemd very frustrated about how things were running. Our food took a while, but that's to be expected. My French toast was good near the edges, but completely soggy mush in the middle. The server seemed salty. She brought our check and never said thank you for coming in. Damn. Just goes to show how much a place can differ from the original. read more

Interesting hybrid. Decor is spacious Midwest breakfast spot. Menu is diner, but with a twist to Mexican and Mexican-influenced. Hoosier Benny, for instance, is Eggs Benedict with a breaded pork cutlet and a touch of salsa verde. Looked odd on the menu but really works. read more

Every bit as good as its Louisville cousin, the Wild Eggs in Indianapolis takes the same basic menu and trades out a few items for more Indy-centric options. Prices are in-line with other casual sit down breakfast spots, but quality is significantly higher than most chains. If you're a fan of places like Denny's, Perkins, or Baker's Square, you'll LOVE Wild Eggs. I love their scratch-made cinnamon rolls, served in a cast iron skillet and large enough to share. They also make a great biscuits and gravy with spicy chorizo. And if you love grits, you have to check out their daily grit special, with unique ingredients that change, well, daily. :-) Only downside to this particular spot was our wait. My group of five arrived around 9 AM and though there was no wait, it took a long time to get seated. Of course, that could have been a fluke so don't let it stop you from giving Wild Eggs a try. read more

Near as I can tell, there's two kinds of morning meals: breakfast and brunch. Breakfast is predictable: two eggs with bacon and toast, a stack of pancakes with maple syrup, biscuits with sausage gravy and a side of hash browns. As long as the food is freshly made, uses high-quality ingredients, and is calorie-rich, it's hard to go wrong -- breakfast places are usually more about the feel and the people more than the food. Brunch is unique -- innovative, personal dishes that beckon you back to a particular restaurant so you can eat them again. Wild Eggs offers both of these things, and does both pretty well. They've got the usual breakfast fare you know, love, and need, but without the dinery grime that somehow makes the food taste a little bit better, and with a couple more dollars tacked onto the price point. They also have their "Wild Eggs" dishes that are more brunchy -- interesting combinations that move beyond basic breakfast, though without the emphasis on food fusion, local sourcing, or utter uniqueness that characterizes a place like Milktooth. Beyond that, the service is friendly, fast, and responsive, the food is colorful and vibrant, and the space is inviting and welcoming. Wild Eggs is a good venue for breakfast and brunch, but it's hard to effectively do both when they are such opposites. What will keep me coming back will be one of two things -- building itself into a true neighborhood venue that is engaged and responsive, or innovative specials created by the chef that ensure I'll always want to see what they're up to next. read more

Another great competitor in the brunch bunch of Indianapolis restaurants, Wild Eggs has brought their 'A' game. Cleverly decorated and pastel painted the interior is more charming than the store front would lead you believe. Plenty of tables and booths would satisfy many a configuration of customers. The gluten free options were among the best we've had, with options to upgrade so to speak (gluten free bananas foster French toast) the menu desserves to be explored and varied upon return visits. The hearty steak and eggs were a pleasing well seasoned plate with some russet potatoes, although the potatoes were cool to luke warm, the manager quickly remedied it. Service was good, not outstanding but good enough not to be an issue. The overall attitude and spirit of the place is friendly and inviting. I have plans to make it back here regularly. You should too!!! read more

Big fan of Wild Eggs. I find that with a lot of the local brunch places in the area that they try to be very unique and have conceptual menus. I am a fan of breakfast being straight to the point. I ordered the mushroom eggs bennie with the balsamic reduction. It was AWESOME. I also love their libations menu. I ordered the ice coffee with kahlua and it was perfect. My friend ordered the tater tots and they practically melted in my mouth. This is my new go-to breakfast place. read more

Are you about that brunch life?!?! Well, this is a great spot to have on your list. Mimosas, good food, yup get to Wild Eggs. They have mimosa flavors, the berry one is delightful. Dined here for brunch one Sunday morning with my sis. The wait wasn't too bad, about 20 minutes, but we found two open seats at the bar and posted up there. I thought the bar was really cool. Kind of gave it a diner feel. There was a flat screen tv in front of the bar. ANNNDDD...you can order alongside your breakfast a mimosa, blood mary or tequila sunrise. I had the tequila sunrise and it was fabulous. Almost as good as my pancakes. I ordered blueberry pancakes that were humongous and bacon. The Good: Coffee excellent taste and given a full insulated jug of it. Soy milk available Decor, bright and fresh. Full pitcher of water with lemon served immediately. Service was good, but the place was not busy at all mid week so it should be. 4 eggs used in the omelet. The Bad: The food took 25 minutes from placing the order, bear in mind the place was only about 20% full. The omelet (creole) had barely any filling in it, probably the worst omelet I have ever had in terms of filling. 3 small pieces of shrimp and 5 half thin slices of sausage, barely any onion or bell pepper and a thin smear of cheese. The hollandaise sauce I got on the side was unlike any hollandaise I have ever had, it was more like that nasty Velveeta than anything. That's about it. I doubt I will ever go back and if I did I would definitely avoid the omelet. read more
