    Chicken & Waffle Egg

Ordered delivery as I needed brunch as part of my hump day (Wednesday) morning. Chicken and waffles with a scrambled egg and a latte sounded so good .. And was! Four cooked great and everything was packed with care. My only point of sadness is the cost of the latte - almost $10 is a lot to pay for a drink this small. Otherwise, flavor is on point!!

Everything was terrific love the cozy vibes and friendly servers. The food was REALLY wonderful loved the option to add chopped bacon to the waffle that's a game changer!

If you follow my reviews, you know that Brunch makes me extremely happy. So of course, we went for Birthday Brunch! Wild Eggs is a cute little spot that gets quite busy. The service started off on the slower side but they definitely made up for it. There were only two waitresses and they were running their butts off. We chose biscuits and gravy and chicken fried steak. I, of course, partook in multiple breakfast spirits. Haha. Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning! Lol. The food was nothing short of fantastic! The chicken fried steak was perfectly fried and very tasty. The gravy on the steak as well as the biscuits were the same. Bacon gravy instead of sausage gravy and it was absolutely delicious. The biscuits were the perfect density. We definitely had leftovers!

Food was amazing, I got the avocado toast and added an egg. Such great flavor!! Our service was okay, quite a bit of time would pass between her check ins and we were the only people in there, but otherwise I would definitely recommend!

    Buffalo Chicken Omelet

The Buffalo Chicken Omelette was very good with plenty of sauce, and the coffee was great as well. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by what happened at the front counter--we almost saw a fight break out, which was pretty uncomfortable. Because of that situation, we didn't feel quite safe enough in the area, and most likely won't be returning despite enjoying the food.

Great start to our day with our son!

A very tasty breakfast of generous proportions and amazing service by Emma! Then a great conversation with Jane, the hostess. Great atmosphere to celebrate our son's birthday with the kind offer of a free pancake! We will return!

Wild Eggs was a good experience, we made a reservation in the morning we arrived but they said it didn't register but we still got in right away. After we were sat our server didn't come acknowledge us for 15 minutes or so. They said they thought others were joining us but still strange to not come take drink orders. The food was very good. I had the breakfast lasagna which I was very pleasantly surprised with. My wife had a skillet she really enjoyed with French toast. We also tried the cinnamon roll which was okay, kinda hard on the top which we didn't enjoy but the middle was tasty. The fresh orange juice mimosas were a hit and the coffee was just okay. Vibes are good nice and bright with all the windows, we had our child with us and definitely could tell they sit everyone with kids in the same area which is completely fine just an observation. Overall would try it again as the menu is vast and had a lot of things that looked good!

    House-Made Cinnamon Roll

Food was good, but not overly hot. Both the cinnamon roll and the buffalo chicken omelet could have been warmer. Also, the everything muffin was dry, but service was reasonably fast and friendly. Not much character to the place. They sat a couple next to us half way thru breakfast that smelled like an ash tray. Kinda ruined the experience.

Just another regular okay American breakfast place. My friend recommended this restaurant, food was okay, my omelette veggies weren't as tasty as organic veggies, you could tell is not good quality ingredients, however, the pancakes and the hash brown square looking thing were very tasty. Employees are very friendly and welcoming. Good atmosphere and if you're lucky, you'll get a parking spot out front.

Good food, reasonable price, good service. Could be a longer wait than what you're wanting depending on time of day. Lots of options.

The food is outstanding across the board--from the steaks to the cheese sticks--but the real star is their bread pudding. It's absolutely worth the trip from anywhere in the tri-state area. Parking is also easy and convenient, with a garage right across the street, as well as their own lot and additional street parking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great meal and an even better experience.

They have a charming patio at the back of the interior space as well. I didn't realize they have their own lot, but in case it's full, there is plenty of street parking nearby. The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive and kept drink refills flowing. We ordered the pretzel and beer cheese and the poutine for starters. The pretzel was huge and tasty. I didn't care for the beer cheese, probably because I was expecting a more solid cheese product. I would describe this more as a cream sauce. It didn't seem to have much cheese in it and was very 'liquidy'. Also the ramekin was only half full. If it had tasted better, I would have asked for more, but as it was not, we didn't even finish what was given. I thought it was a bit pricey at $12.95 for one large pretzel. On the other hand, the poutine was fantastic! A very unique take on the dish with a mix of cheese curds (although they reminded me more of pieces of mozzarella sticks), french fries and Andouille cream gravy. I ordered the fish tacos which consisted of Blackened Salmon, Thai Chili Sauce, Black Bean Corn Salsa, Pico de Gallo. My order came with two and they were fantastic! Since Blinkers is known for steaks, I will have to give them another try at dinner time.

Normally, I find hotel food is just okay and nothing special, but Coppin's was a pleasant surprise. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, and our equally pleasant server quickly brought menus and asked what we would like to drink. When it was my turn, I happily ordered Coppin's Old Fashioned. I was the odd man out because everyone else ordered the Spring Manhattan. Judging by how quickly everyone's drinks disappeared, I'd say they were all very tasty. I was a little unsure about mine at first, so to make sure the quality and taste were consistent, I ordered a second, and it definitely was not a mistake. I ordered the B+G biscuits (which are made by hand according to server in the hotel) and gravy with an extra egg. Others at the table chose a variety of dishes, including the CVG, Cobb Salad, Bagel and Lox, and several other selections. Based on the clean plates all around the table, everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My wife ordered a sample of banana bread, and I was fortunate enough to snag a small bite, it was excellent. After we had all finished, everyone agreed that my niece had made an excellent choice for her graduation celebration brunch. As my wife and I made our way back to Louisville, we both commented that we would definitely return the next time we were in Covington.

Going back and forth on stars for this one. Me and around 30 of my coworkers came into town for a…read moretwo day workshop and they got us a room block at this hotel. I ended up being in the North Building and cracked up when I walked into my room and saw I was in one of the Lightwell Lofts (a few of us ended up in them by chance, guess they included them in our room block lol). While the room was super cool and beautiful, there was a lot to be desired. After taking a million photos of the gorgeous room, I quickly realized a major flaw - the bedroom is upstairs, the bathroom is downstairs, and the staircase between the two is a crazy narrow spiral staircase. As someone that gets up to pee in the middle of the night, having to traverse the spiral stairs was terrifying lol. One of my coworkers actually swapped with someone who had a "normal" room because he was worried about falling down the stairs. My downstairs tv wouldn't turn on. I fiddled with the remote a bit, tried rearranging the batteries, but couldn't turn it on. I used the ipad in the room to put in a maintenance request, but no one came. I figured I would just let the front desk know when I headed out to dinner that night. Hours later, the front desk calls me to see if anyone had come to fix the tv - they hadn't. The girl was very nice and apologetic, she said I sent the request in the middle of a shift change and someone had accidentally marked it as complete. So she said someone would be right up, and he did come up. Handed me a handwritten note and a $25 coupon for Coppin's which was totally unexpected and a very nice gesture. Turned out, he knew exactly what the problem was - he said the remote was broken and he was supposed to swap it out but forgot. Gave me a new remote and all was good. He also mentioned there is a second remote upstairs for that tv. After he left, I went to look for it - there was no second remote. We held our meetings in the Scheper Room, which was also beautiful. The room was absolutely freezing the first day and I'm someone that prefers it a touch colder and was uncomfortable. We had to get them to update the thermostat and then in the afternoon it was way too hot. We had food brought in from the hotel and it was all fine, nothing super memorable. There was soup at lunch but the sign didn't even say what it was - just "chef's choice." The Italian hoagies were way too big and needed to be cut in half, I couldn't even finish half of one. The salad with fruit/pecans/etc was my favorite though. They had the completely wrong password on the tables for the Wifi but thankfully we figured it out quickly that we just had to use the room password. The second day for breakfast, there was yogurt on the menu and even on the sign with all the food - but there was no yogurt. Some of my coworkers were specifically asking for yogurt so we had to request it directly because it was included and paid for. Box lunches to take to go on the second day which were fine, I had the chicken caesar salad wrap. Housekeeping didn't come to service my room until 5pm when I was in there getting ready for dinner, so I was not able to get the room serviced. Just asked them for some more coffee. My conditioner in the shower was empty but I didn't bother reporting it after the tv issue and I had my own conditioner with me, so used that. The lotion at the sink was so thick that I could not get it out of the bottle at all, I had to use q-tips to get it out (it was nice quality, just kinda useless if you can't get it out of the bottle lol). Great local offerings on the mini bar and in the fridge. My coworkers and I got a kick out of the "intimacy kits" because we were on a business trip haha. The Magic 8 ball was fun, I loved the conversation cards even though I just read a few of them to myself haha. Even with the bedroom upstairs, it was nice to have the big double closet in the bathroom hallway so I really was just in the loft to sleep and kept all my stuff downstairs. The location is great, lots of fun stuff right nearby. The courtyard is lovely. I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars but since we can't give half stars, I'll give it a 4 because the staff was overall very nice and quickly fixed any issues, just a little annoying that we had any issues at all.
