Superb baked good. Everything I tried wasn't just good, but exceptional. The chocolate short bread cookies were magical. The lemon tart is sprinkled with edible flower petals. I stop by wild crumb at least once a week. I usually get a pastry with macarons being my favorite, although I've also had a raspberry danish that was to die for. I purchased a load of bread to take home with me last weekend, and was not disappointed! Chewy, tasty, excellent texture - it was amazing. They're always busy but the service is great. The servers behind the counter are always cheerful and friendly, and even with the place so busy I never have to wait very long. I enjoy the industrial feel to the place, and plan on coming back often, keep up the good work! read more

Love it love it love it! This is the kind of bakery that every town should have, but unfortunately doesn't. Fresh baked goods for every preference, from savories to sweets and lovely loaves of bread. Due to the popularity, expect lines, quick moving staff, and total freshness. Highly recommend for roadtrippers as a brilliant stop for snacks and treats. I picked up a strawberry rhubarb pie for family in Idaho, and they loved it! Actually wish I'd kept it for myself, which I know is selfish, but one doesn't come across such good pies often. Wild Crumb has the most amazing croissants and artisan bread--the best I've ever had in any city. No kidding. The only problem is they don't bake enough--get there before 10:00. And always a friendly, efficient staff. This bakery rivals anything San Francisco has to offer and you don't have deal with stepping over humans to get in the door. Let me just say, the baked goods are fan-freakin'-tastic. Their croissants are flaky, buttery, perfection. Their sourdoughs are *chef's kiss*. We actually bought a pre sliced sourdough loaf to use as sandwich bread in Yellowstone NP and it was the best choice. However, they still have many rules about social distancing, which is fine, but to the point they started fussing at a two year old little boy about getting to close to the counter, it rubbed me a little wrong. Dropped by here for an after brunch snack. When you walk in you're hit in the face with carbs, butter and garlic. Is that the smell of heaven? Their bakery items looked fresh and the staff was nice. Since we were pretty full we only grabbed some sweets and promised each other we'd be back for lunch later this week. Overall it's so hard to bake at altitude so I give them a lot of props for being able to get their goodies so fresh, soft and buttery. Their huckleberry scone and all their breads are amazing - You can ask to slice most loaves. There is always a line out the door, so go early on weekends. I would say for croissants and more classic French pastries, check out Vienne instead. Wild Crumb misses the mark on croissants. read more

This is still Bozeman's Best Bakery, but their turkey sandwich is now clearly second best to Vienne. It is a magical place to arrive as soon as they open when all of the baking splendor is displayed. But you will need to arrive 35 minutes before they open as the sprinter vans usually begin jockeying for parking just before dawn. Parking is the real challenge here. A five block radius around the building has been classified as a parking danger zone. The building is about to go under a 3 year build and intensification which compounds the challenges of finding a parking spot in an already hostile environment. Locals who are still frequenting the establishment have resorted to parking at the fairgrounds or public library and walking it in from there. Be careful when driving in the area as pedestrians have abandoned all caution and respect for jay walking laws and will leap out from behind a Subaru Outback with no warning. The buns, granola and other misc. items opposite the cashier are pretty killer and often overlooked. read more

Great stop. We landed in Bozeman (coming from the east coast) around noon. Came straight here (thanks to Yelp). Had an amazing mini-baguette sandwich and coffees. We also bought a baguette to enjoy while hiking the next few days (and we did in front of the backside of the Tetons and halfway through a 4+mile hike atop Bridger gondola). We WILL return in two weeks to purchase food for our return flight. Bozeman, you are lucky to have this gem. read more

Good pastries but I asked for my bags NOT to be handled by the person taking cash, was told ok by the girl bagging my items, in yet she still gave them to the girl handling cash to hand them to me. I asked her to change my bags, to which she said that they change their gloves every time they handle cash. That's fine, but your still touching the computer with your new gloves that you previously touched all over after handling cash. So now you have whatever germs were on that cash after touching the computer on your new gloves. Does that make sense? If not, bless your heart. I don't need you to agree with my logic, but I asked for something to be done a certain way in order for me to buy your stuff because I'm a REGISTERED NURSE and know better, I was told ok as in I will do that for you, then she didn't do it and was trying to convince me it's ok. I asked for a reason. Do not tell me you will do what I asked and then not do it. How hard is it to put my goods two more feet away at the end of the counter so I can grab it? Is it that hard? If it is, I can take my money elsewhere. Do what other smarter businesses are doing and DO NOT have the person handling cash EVER give people their food regardless of them changing gloves because everything they previously touched with cash they are touching again and contaminating their new gloves. Superb pastries and breads with well-oiled service. My husband and I visited Bozeman about a month ago and Wild Crumb was recommended to us by our AirBnB hosts and Wild Crumb did not disappoint. The venue was executing service safely, and we left with some delicious treats on our first visit: maple glazed pumpkin bread, chokeberry scone, pecan roll, and a bread roll. This slate of food was so good that a few days later we returned for more. We got a rye bread loaf, as well as two savory croissants. My husband had the ham and cheese croissant, and I got a specialty Thanksgiving themed stuffing croissant. The stuffing croissant was out of this world: the balance of flavors was excellent and the outside of the croissant was still flaky and delicate. What became supremely clear to us was that this place knows hospitality, food, and a good time. Wild Crumb is one of many examples. Ham and Gruyere Croissant: if you're hungry and want a more substantial, savory breakfast but still in the mood for pastries, go with this! They do have breakfast sandwiches, but trust me, you cannot make a mistake ordering a croissant that's stuffed with ham and cheese and the size of your face! I know I will be dreaming of this croissant, it's flakiness, the crunch.. when i'm out in the backcountry tonight. What a way to start our trip! High-key this place slaps. Turkey Sandwiches are awesome. Don't microwave the scones or they will crumble but other than that 10/10!

Leaving Wyoming and Montana to head back to the Midwest after 9 days is sad but a couple fantastic pastries from Wild Crumb helped ease the disappointment of vacation ending. The Strawberry Scone was tender, moist and, get this, had giant, real strawberries in it. The Cinnamon Bun was full of cinnamon, as it should, and not just a bunch of tasteless bread. When we come back this way we will stop back in and hopefully, fingers crossed they will have a Huckleberry Scone. read more

Smells heavenly as you walk into this cute little bakery. We had the cardamom knot which was flaky, soft and delicious! Chocolate chip cookies and carrot cake were also fantastic. I came in thinking I wanted a loaf but came out with 3 delicious sweets. A chocolate cookie to start, delicious, in between crunchy and chewy. A raspberry friand, nice and crunchy on the top and edges and soft and chewy in the middle. Loved the contrast of textures and the light sweetness throughout this one. And last a Mexican chocolate brownie that I enjoyed and spent the whole time trying to figure out the ingredients in there.
