WE LOVE MARY'S ABOUT BIRDS!!!!!!!!!…read more I have been coming here for nearly 10 years, ever since I got my Lovebird from a breeder. It was the closest parrot specialty store to Magnolia when I was growing up. Now as I have grown older, my love for birds has grown! I confess, I have not been here in a while, and the last time I boarded Kiwi was 6 years ago. I moved out of Magnolia and now live in the Willowbrook area and I have been going to a different parrot store nearby. Getting ready for the Christmas 2019 Holiday, I needed to board my birds. This was I asked all of my friends that had experience with my babies...Alas, All of the friends I asked could not help me by just coming over to the apartment to feed and play with them. They were all busy with their own family and holiday stuff. The parrot store that I have been going to will not groom my Lovebird, and they would not board him. I don't even know the reason, they just have a no lovebird policy??? And ALTHOUGH Mary's is out of my way and a bit of a drive for me, I firmly believe that she was the BEST option. My birds did not seem skinny, and they did not seem to be missing feathers. All that was wrong is that they missed me. Once they saw me pass they door, they kept chirp-chirpin'. The condition of the boarding cages were clean and they had perches and they were kept in cages side by side so they could be around each other. Mary's really saved us this season!!! 10/10 would recommend!

These animals are NOT cared for most are stressed, overwhelmed, skinny. I've only seen foreign people think this is adorable like a "cat & dog zoo" but this is cruelty. Everytime people buy more animals have to suffer in boxes with little food and no water or sun. To even have an establishment like this is a joke. PLEASE DONT BUY HERE THIS IS NOT OKAY !!

When you walk in, you…read moreare greeted by rows of small, cramped boxes packed with puppies and kittens that are barely moving. They are filthy, suffocating in the heat because the staff cannot even be bothered to turn on a fan, and there is not a single water bowl in sight. Imagine being trapped in a tiny, boiling cage, covered in dirt, with no way to escape or even get a drink of water. The neglect is devastating. On my visit, there were four staff members standing around doing absolutely nothing while kids openly yelled and slammed on the glass, terrifying the already exhausted animals. In the corner, a dog with a heavily matted face was continuously opening and closing its mouth--clearly suffering from severe dehydration and begging for a drop of water that never came. These animals have no voice, no way to defend themselves, and no one inside those walls looking out for them. Buying a pet from this establishment only funds this misery. Do not give them a single penny. We need to look out for these helpless animals, spread the word, and report this facility until they are forced to close their doors for good.

WBU is the BEST!…read more This is one of my favourite places to shop when I really want to spoil myself (and also benefit my local wildlife). Without fail, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and so much fun to chat with. Whenever I have an order delivered to my home, I can always count on Jeff to provide service with a smile. He is such a wonderful, caring soul, as is the entire staff at the store. They are truly passionate about birds and it SHOWS. I always enjoy trading photos and videos of bird activity, and have gotten some great product recommendations, too. WBU also brings in experts from time to time for special presentations, often with live ambassador animals. As you never know what a particular bird will do when being shown, the results are often hilarious (and occasionally a little messy). These presentations are a big hit with kids and adults alike, and I always learn something new about the animals that we share our little blue marble with. Lest I forget... When she's on the premises, Gracie is always a delightful member of the staff to interact with. She is always more than happy to be spoiled with lots and lots of petting. Keep up the great work, my WBU family. You have a lifetime customer here.

They seemed to have every bird seed/food that you would ever need. Different food will attract different birds. The staff was very knowledgeable about all of it. They also have tons of bird houses and bird feeders. Books about birds and coffee mugs with birds on them. This place has it all, even an adorable shop dog.
