Every phone conversation I had with the shop owner, which was weekly because I kept hearing "it should be here next week", was very unprofessional and not how a customer should be treated. No "thank you's", no "I'm sorry for your wait", nothing that would ensure our purchase and business was appreciated. We will not being going back, especially considering there is a better pet boutique around the corner. I advise steering clear of Different Strokes entirely.

I've been bringing my dog to Petco for grooming for quite some time, and we normally have a…read morepositive experience at this location. However, today was extremely disappointing. While the groomer (koko) did inform me that my dog had been nicked during the grooming appointment, I did not realize the severity of the cut until I got home and was able to thoroughly inspect it. The injury was much deeper than it was made to seem at pickup. I understand accidents can happen, but this level of injury is unacceptable, especially from a place entrusted with caring for pets. I will be including photos because I believe management needs to address this seriously. Pet owners deserve transparency, accountability, and better care for their animals.

What should have been a happy experience turned into one of the most uncomfortable and disappointing customer service encounters I've had. Upon entering the store, the attendant did not acknowledge my presence at all. She walked to the back twice, came out, and remained on the phone without offering a greeting or assistance. After standing there for approximately 10 minutes without any acknowledgment, I finally asked if I was going to be helped. Her response was, "Well normally people just walk in and look around." As a first-time customer, I had no way of knowing that. A simple "Good morning" or "How can I help you?" would have been basic courtesy and professional customer service. Instead, I was met with indifference and a dismissive attitude. Throughout the interaction, I felt extremely uncomfortable. Her demeanor, facial expressions, and tone made it very clear that my presence was not welcomed. I have never felt so disregarded or profiled in a retail establishment. No customer should ever feel that way -- especially in a place that promotes warmth and community for pet lovers. I completed the purchase only because I was not going to leave without something special for my dog's birthday. However, this will absolutely be my last visit. I do not recommend this location if you expect respectful treatment and basic customer service. Unfortunatley, I was very upset I did not get her name but, she was caucasian and very heavy weight

Well, let me just say we won't be going back to this location. We've taken our dog here for the…read morepast 1.5 years for grooming. And today was the last time. We had a very good picture as well as good directions on what we wanted. He gets a pretty short cut on his body (not shaved to the skin short, which is what he got today) but pretty short. And we have them leave his tail fluffy, but blend it with his body so that it's not just a drastic line. Holy crap!!!!! When we went back to pick him up Candis hadn't even touched his tail. But we should have left well enough alone. Because when it was brought to her attention I don't know if she decided to get even with us for making her fix it, but what she ended up doing was shaving about 1/3 of the length of his tail down to the skin and then leaving the end 2/3 fluffy so that it looks ridiculous. Of course now they're claiming it's on us, that she just did what she always does because she looked at her notes. I call BS. He's never looked this messed up when he came out of there. Trust me, if he had, that would have been in her notes long before now. At any rate. Thank goodness it grows out and hopefully we'll find a new, more customer friendly groomer and business to take him to next time. Because this place doesn't care about anything except getting your money and defending their employees. The worst $100 I've spent in a long time.

He was a bit wild so 3 of their team gently held him while they did the grinding. They were finished in 5 minutes and my puppy was hardly upset which being his first time I was happy about.
