I've been bringing my dog to Petco for grooming for quite some time, and we normally have a positive experience at this location. However, today was extremely disappointing. While the groomer (koko) did inform me that my dog had been nicked during the grooming appointment, I did not realize the severity of the cut until I got home and was able to thoroughly inspect it. The injury was much deeper than it was made to seem at pickup. I understand accidents can happen, but this level of injury is unacceptable, especially from a place entrusted with caring for pets. I will be including photos because I believe management needs to address this seriously. Pet owners deserve transparency, accountability, and better care for their animals. read more

Do NOT bring your baby's here. Brought my dog because he panting and coughing. They took him to the back. Then Dr Julie Henson- Hiser told me he has allergies and give allergy medication. 2 days later my baby was dead and these people knew what they did and still kept my money and sent me condolence card. read more

Zero stars if possible for Petco- Spring Grooming. I will NEVER come back to this location for grooming. We came for a simple mail trim. While the lady was clipping my dogs nail, she clipped it to far back & he started to bleed. He literally has ZERO nail on that finger. She didn't even clip them right, some are still very long. She didn't bother to apologize or even try to offer a discount per the inconvenience. I could've did this choppy work myself at home. I will NOT be returning. If you are planning on scheduling a groom for your pets - I advise you to take them to a better location or more experienced groomers that take their time. read more

I bring my 2 lovable pups here every month as part of the Petco Vital Care program. They both get nail trims and teeth brushing, 1 gets bath and haircut quarterly. I have always received excellent service, professional interactions, and my dogs are always treated so well! It is truly a pleasure to see the staff every month. Took my fur baby to this location and I can honestly say "DO NOT TAKE YOUR FUR BABY THERE" not only they were rude but did a ugly shapeless haircut. Paid $66 for them to do a ugly job. I brought my dog in to get her nails cut today because they were really long and sharp and I was just desperate to get them cut. Now, my mom and my sister warned me that one specific groomer, if she was there, was going to give me a difficult time if I wanted to get anything done. I told them it would be fine since I've brought my dog there many times already. Sure enough, the only groomer there was the one my mom and sister warned me about. She was in a crabby mood when I came up to the desk and when she looked up my information, she said that my dog was only to be seen by one specific groomer and asked me if I knew why. I informed her that my baby can get nippy at times but she's good with anybody after she's warmed up to you. She didn't respond and with a very snarky attitude, she said "Well. It says in my notes here that she bit someone and left marks. I'm not comfortable taking her and the groomer that works with her is out for the week." This was the first I had heard about my dog biting someone and leaving marks. I asked my mom about it, because sometimes she picks my dog up, and when she was told about it, she didn't see any marks. Long story short, today left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to Petco grooming. This individual that I interacted with always seems to be in a bad mood every single time I bring my dog in. I get that we all have bad days, but you can at least put on a good face when interacting with customers and don't be rude. I love the groomer that my dog regularly sees, but it seems that every time I try to get an appointment, she's out. I understand she has a life and that's completely okay. Sabrina is the only reason why I didn't make this rating a 1-star. She's the best groomer at this location, hands down, and if you need to get your pet groomed, go with her. With that being said, I would expect that someone else could at least groom my dog, but if my other choice is the one from today, then I'm better off going back to Petsmart. I brought my 5 pets... yes, you read correctly, 5 pets to get vaccinated at Vetco. The lady checking us in was so nice and helpful. I got there early so there really wasn't a line but it was getting packed after about an hour. Dr. Hudspeth was so informative and was even able to see my cat that wasn't so nice. Thanks to Vetco for providing decently priced vaccines for my pets. read more

Scheduled my appointment almost a week ahead of time. Chose to get my baby Maltipoo a bath and nails cut and brushed out without shaving and also trim around his eyes. Came for my appointment had to let them know he could no longer get a bath because of health reasons. ( at this time ) dealing with his ears. So I just wanted the other things done to him which is comb out, clip nails and trim hair around his eyes. Mind you I comb out my Maltipoo DAILY. He is use to my combing he is still and let's me comb him with no problem. Another lady came out and proceeded to feel my maltipoo's fur and say that he is really tangled and won't have time to comb him? 1. Like I said his fur is not tangled this woman just did not want to deal with my puppy. WHAT THE HELL. how would you have time to bath and comb, clip and trim but you can't just comb clip and trim. Make that make sense. I will never be returning and I advise you not to go. At all. Terrible, terrible service at the grooming shop. I've called during service hours twice now to book an appointment with a groomer with no luck. The first time I was told they were closed (online hours stated otherwise) and to call back in the morning. Alrighty, did just that. I managed to get a live groomer on the phone to schedule an appointment, and she took my name, etc. and said that she would call back. Really? Well, she never did. So I'm calling back now -still clearly well within stated business hours for the grooming dept- and, oh, they're closed again. The guy on the other end of the line apologized and stated that people weren't showing up to work, and that the shop will open up again in the morning "hopefully". Back to Petsmart I go. read more

This Petco has great service, very knowledgeable staff. The guy in the fish section was very knowledgeable and gave us pointers on how to take care of our new fish. The grooming section is great also only place my cat lets himself be taken care of, they have a specific lady that does cats (last time I went not sure about now) Recently adopted a dog, will follow up on review when I take her for grooming! read more

This store's pet grooming department has no regard for their customer's time. After scheduling my dog for May 8, 2020, I show up to drop off I was told that THEY had an unruly dog on hand and could not take my dog. I understood but they could have called instead of wasting my time and gas. We rescheduled for the following week the12th again I show up and they said that they failed to enter it into the system and are now booked I though really the same person (Tyler) the groomer was the one that rescheduled me. They could care less I asked for the manager (Kendra) she looked at me and said what can I do about it? You can work through your break to handle your screw up that's what you can do. I tried contacting a regional manager that didn't happen nobody would return my call. I guess I shouldn't be upset with the local manager when upper management behaves the same; poor training. They just don't care that I will take all of my business and its not only grooming to their competition Petsmart. I will never shop in any Petco and I will spread the word about the horrible service and hope this cost them business. This complaint also includes upper management for not following up. read more

Stopped at this Petco today to pass some time and get a few items that we have been procrastinating on picking up. Walked in and was greeted off the bat from the cashier as well as waved at by the groomer who was busy trimming a dog. My daughter (three) loves to go peer in the window and see what is going on. The store is kept nice and clean as well as fairly organized. We found the products we were needed rather quickly and would have been in and out if my children did insist on looking at all the animals. My three year old needed to use the bathroom so we went to them and the women's restroom was out of order and instructed us to please forgive them but us the men's. It was disgusting and is the only reason this review isn't a 5 star! I understand bathrooms are generally nasty however if you are reroute get all your patrons to one facility at least make sure it is wiped clean. we will definitely return, but next time hopefully the kids will be able to hold it! I have been taking my 21 lb. mixed breed dog to this location for a long time. They have a terrible turnover with groomers. My dog has very short hair but her face needs trimming often. In the past the charge for her bath/groom has been $40 and I always add the special spa package for $22. On January 23, 2017 I went to the register and they said $77 was my bill. I went back to the groomer and she had charged me for "long hair med bath/haircut" for $55. I asked her about the difference in price. She said that charges had gone up but could not quote me the new charges but agreed to change back to $40. She said that next time it would be $55. First, I DO NOT have a long hair or medium sized dog. I called the comments 888 phone line and was put on hold for 10 mins. I called back and they finally answered. The service rep could not answer any questions about anything or prices. They took the information down and says management will call me back. ALSO, there was another lady with 2 large dogs for nail trimming only. She got a receipt for an amount that she said was twice as much as usual. I will not return To Petco and the other lady told the groomer the same thing. Manager was complaining that January/February was always slow. Were they trying to make up in overcharging the customers? With the service and COSTS being charged now they won't have many good months. Petco lost 2 customers in 1 day. read more

I will never take my puppy there for grooming again...I took my puppy on a Saturday to get groomed and we picked her up in the evening...well by Thursday we were having to take her to a vet because she had a foul smelling wound to the outside of her left ear...after the vet saw her he determined she had an ear infection to both of her ears! One of the infections had spread to the outside of the ear and that's what we could see and smell...after they cleaned it it left my puppy's ear completely raw...the vet said this was not normal for a puppy and that it was even weird that it happened to both ears... $190 later we left the vet with meds and a cone...I'm sure it came from here either they left the inside of her ears wet or didn't sterilize their items...because literally that infection spread that quickly in 4 days...my puppy is doing better but I will never take her back to get groomed here! read more
