First off, upon reading these reviews before purchasing I was skeptical. It literally sounded to good to be true. I own a malinois mix of a dog. She's energetic, sweet, and slightly aggressive. I failed at training her properly which gave me much frustration, I knew she was a good dog I just didn't know how to train her "aggression" (lack of confidence). From the initial appointment, I could already tell this was going to work wonders and it truly did. Best thing I could have ever gotten my dog. She's so much happier and confident in her abilities. She used to bark and react to everything, which I thought was due to aggression but really was her lack of confidence and a little bit of resource guarding which were both worked on throughout all sessions. I did the 8 week aggression training and it really works. You have to work at home with your dog daily to make sure they retain what they've been taught but if you do that you will have a totally new dog at the end! On command my dog will come, sit, and stay until I release her. It's pretty awesome and makes my life so much less stressful knowing I can trust her to be at places or around others and not react. Everyone at Off-Leash was amazing, met a few of the trainers and you could really tell their deep love and understanding for animals. Not only that but they were so knowledgeable and always had tips or suggestions for my dog. My favorite was that they allowed my dog to still be her and have her boundaries (she doesn't like random people petting her) without pushing too hard. Stella's trainer, Desiree, was great! Not only was she personable but she made my dog feel super comfortable and Stella was always super excited to see her. Overall such a great trainer. We had our two dogs trained with Off Leash K9 in March, and it has made a world of a difference. They are both large dogs (one a pitbull/lab mix 50lbs 4yo, and the other a shephard/husky mix 70lbs 5yo; both already potty trained), so walking them was an awful chore before they were trained - always pulling on the leash and lunging at other dogs we passed. Each dog went to the 2 week in-trainers-house training with eCollar. We had tried to train them ourselves with a shock collar before but with no success. This 2 week training set them up to understand how to respond to the collar, to walk without pulling and even to walk off-leash! We were very diligent about continuing the training with the collars once we got the dogs back from the trainer - this was very important, as it was clear our dogs were testing us to see if we would be just as strict with them as the trainers were. It was very expensive, but so worth it. Our husky mix used to lunge at other dogs while we walked and has pulled the leash out of my grasp, and now he is very attentive to staying right by our side the whole time. We no longer need leashes when we walk them (although we do still need the eCollar & Remotes to reinforce). We constantly get compliments on how well behaved our dogs are and asked how they can walk off leash obediently - and we always give credit to our Off Leash K9 trainers! read more

Tried calling 3 different times to set up training for my dogs. Apparently there's just one person that will call you back and it usually takes a day or 2 because the phone never gets answered the first time. Each time she said she would text me a time and location a couple of days before so we could have a consultation and of course the text never came. I tried calling to ask and of course there was no answer. I'm sure they would probably do a great job if I was ever able to get started, but it looks like they're just too busy to keep their promises. Pro tip: If you can't take the job, just say so. I have so much appreciation for Justin at K9 advisors! We had an awesome trainer out of state, so I was nervous to find a new trainer and worried about having inconsistent training for our dogs. However, Justin did an amazing job providing us with training consistent with what we had learned but also vastly increasing our knowledge and skills base. He really helped us to address remaining issues we had with our dog. In our first session, our dog was so unsure of himself and derived confidence from his fur-brother and from us, his parents. It was really sad to see. This confidence resulted in aggression and reactivity to other dogs, and a lot of hesitancy with other people. Just 4 sessions later, I am proud to say he is much more confident, happier, and obedient. As shown in this picture, he was able to lay next to a dog who he just met (brought by off leash K9) in a vulnerable position and be relatively relaxed without showing aggression. This is an incredible achievement and shows significant progress from where we started. Additionally, we had a guest to our house yesterday, and he enthusiastically allowed the guest to pet him and played with this guest, which is vastly different from how he approached strangers previously. Justin's training philosophy is straightforward, and with it, our dog has truly flourished at become the happy, confident little furry being he was meant to be! Training has also helped our relationship and bond with our sweet pup, as he trusts and is confident in us as our leaders. I can happily say that Justin's training helped with his human's confidence in being a good dog-parent too. Although my dogs are small, I have been able to apply skills learned from Justin while volunteering at a rescue to some very large, strong dogs with behavioral challenges for a confident, calm, controlled leash walk. The training was pointless. I didn't have trainers that listened to my needs. My dog only listens when the e-collar is on but I can only use it for a limited time because it irritates her skin. She's had multiple rashes around her neck from it. She knew all the commands in the basic training so the trainers didn't do anything differently than what I was doing at home so I guess I just spent money on learning how to use a training e-collar. The sign up process is easy and the trainer was very nice. The training; however, for the cost is lacking. My dog did the 2 week board and train for $2,500.00 and I have not been very pleased with the results. We even paid to have the trainer keep her the next weekend (to work with her more) and nope. The dog does okay with the command of staying in place, but we still have to correct her several times. She still gets aggressive a lot of times and snapped at my son the other day, keep in mind: she's not even 2 weeks out of training. Despite constantly working with her, she's nowhere near where I would expect a professionally trained dog to be. So, if you have a pet and your expecting them to come back completely obedient, this is not the place for you. I've reached out to the company regarding their "guarantee" and it's been pretty vague so far, will update once I know more. read more

We chose to train our new dog Daisy that we adopted from the SPCA with the 8 basic & advanced lessons and it was worth every penny! Our trainer, Monica, was excellent with Daisy and what I loved most about her was that she would explain to us how she was training our dog and also why she would do something a certain way. A lot of times she would comment about how this reinforces some sort of behavior or would boost Daisy's confidence, etc. At one point of our training Daisy didn't take well to the previous lesson (down lesson) and Daisy wasn't receptive to the next training session and was extremely nervous and jittery. Monica picked up on this right away and instead of just charging through, took a step back to assess the situation and told us that this lesson would be free since Daisy wasn't herself and even considered bringing another trainer in. We were extremely appreciative of this gesture and found it to be very considerate and professional. We were a little nervous starting out the training because Daisy is an extremely sensitive and submissive dog, but at the end of the training (which was today) her confidence levels are much higher and she seems to be a much happier dog!!! Daisy is far from perfect but her discipline and manners are getting better every day and we love seeing her progress and growth. We highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training. Well where to start, my pitbull went to get train and board and got sick the 1st week she was there. Not sure where she was being kept, but she winded up getting a infection in blood that affected her paws. Offleash K9 was great training for our two German Shepherds. It gave them a great start to better behavior and manners. They are still puppies with their moments but a breeze to walk, good door manners, know stay, sit, down, place, come, and heel. We did the two week board and train while we went on a vacation, it was well worth it. We needed a refresher after the first week and the staff drove from Sugarland down to Friendswood to work with us at our house and most of the refresher was teaching us better habits for working with our dogs.
