The Woodlands Children's Museum - Little house

The Woodlands Children's Museum

4 stars? Let me tell you why…read more We've been visiting The Woodlands Children's Museum regularly for the past couple of years, and overall it's been a solid experience for younger kids. It's a well-managed space that's clearly designed for structured, imaginative play rather than chaos. If you know what to expect, it can be a great outing. Pros: * The location right off The Woodlands Parkway makes it easy to get to without going far out of the way. * The museum is the perfect size--big enough to keep kids engaged, but not overwhelming for parents or little ones. * They host multiple events throughout the month, which helps keep things interesting beyond a standard visit. * Being able to host birthday parties here is a big plus and very convenient. * Pricing feels fair for what's offered, especially compared to larger, more crowded children's attractions. Cons: * The layout doesn't change very often; in two years, I've only seen one noticeable update, which can make repeat visits feel a bit repetitive. * Parking can be frustrating since the lot is shared with a large gym, especially during peak hours. * The shopping center itself is pretty outdated and could really use a remodel, which affects the overall experience. * This is not the place for very hyper kids who need to run freely--everything is more controlled and calm. * There are no concessions, and outside food or drinks aren't allowed, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. Overall, this museum is a great option for younger children who enjoy hands-on, imaginative play in a calm environment. It's affordable, well-located, and thoughtfully run, but best suited for kids who do well with structure. We'll continue to visit, just not expecting major changes each time.

I hired Kayci to care for our dogs and fish while my husband and I were out of town for a week…read more I wish I never had. In preparation for our upcoming trip -I met with Kayci three times. The first time with Kayci and her wife, the second at the dog park so she could observe the routine, and again before we left where I reviewed the dogs and fish' feeding and care instructions. Our pups are on a schedule to be walked and fed every morning before 9:00 AM. Kayci assured us this would not be a problem. She also assured us that there would be no issues and she had everything under control. I had offered to more than double her normal fee (1000.00 for the 6 days) - hoping that it would be an incentive for her to keep everything in control. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, turned out to be the pet sitter from hell. During out 6 day trip - Kayci sent no less than 75 text messages. Minimally 39 of them were erroneous, inappropriate or argumentative. I have included several in this review. We had barely begun our vacation, when we received a text from Kayci, "I hate to bother yall but I was wondering if I could possibly borrow and then wash a pair of some shorts". Later she would text, "Seems like the boys poop is a little runny these past few days" - and she wanted to change their diets. Although I didn't think changing their diets while I was out of town was necessary or a good idea - Kayci was having none of it. Rather than tell me in any of our previous face to face meetings, Kayci decided this was a good time to tell me that I don't know how to feed my dogs and I am feeding them wrong - (I have raised dogs longer than Kayci has been alive) She then wouldn't tell me what time she was walking them unless I stopped my vacation and called her. Which I did. I tried to give her the instructions from the vet - and ask her what time she was taking them out in the morning - (If the dogs go too long without a walk they end up with soft stools) At this point, my husband was clearly upset and was ready to kaibash our vacation and head home. Our stress levels were insane. After hours of Kayci's BS - she finally texted, "The dogs do not have diarrhea, just soft stool . . . .My wife specializes in nutrition for pets" She wanted to sell us her nutrition services. All this drama for a sales pitch - All I could respond was, "Lets talk about it when we get home". The last thing I wanted to do was see Kayci get any further unhinged. I had made calls after Kayci wanted to wear my clothes to another dogsitter and hired one -to keep an eye on Kayci and Clearwater Aquatics/Pawsitive Pets. It was the only way to salvage our vacation. On Saturday, I asked her if she would please walk the dogs early the next morning. I was hoping she could keep them on their schedule. I was told by Kayci, "Unfortunately not. I have a dr appointment." I thought it was strange she would have a Doctors appointment on Sunday morning at 7:30 - especially since she had taken the job to sit our dogs and fish several months prior - I asked if she could either reschedule, or come before her appointment. To which I was told, "No mam, that's not how this is goin to go" I could go on for pages, but I invite you to read the text messages - We were guaranteed a professional and stress free experience with Kayci and her wife and their companies, Clearwater Aquatics and Pawsitive Pets - It was as if Kayci intentionally sabotaged our vacation -- When we returned home, Kayci called the following morning. She requested that we pay her the remaining balance BEFORE she would return our house key - I told her to keep it - Were were changing locks after this experience. Then her wife called - she wanted to continue on the line that she and Kayci knew better than I did how to care for my dogs. I explained I have raised dogs/fish longer than she has been alive - She was adamant that she knew more than both myself and my vet - I probably wasn't very nice to her when I explained why they were not getting the second payment. Bottom line -AVOID THESE TWO DRAMA QUEENS. It is not worth the stress and angst they cause - They don't adhere to agreements they are unreliable dishonest and unprofessional - I regret ever trusting these with my animals. Don't make the same mistake. UPDATE!!!!! I stopped into the fish store where I had the misfortune of meeting Kayci -- Check this out! https://www.facebook.com/share/v/9roKUFozFuG7hzya/?mibextid=jmPrMh

My stepfather had brought in our 2 older dogs for a grooming appointment and was waiting to be acknowledged behind a customer who was waiting for her dog to be finished. The groomer working on the other dog tersely told him they would not groom our dogs that day. She did not look at the computer for an appointment nor ask for or provide any details. Meantime, I received a notification that the appointment time had been pushed back. My stepdad left the store and came home, explaining what happened.  Confused, I called the groomers to clarify whether our dogs still had an appointment and could be serviced that day. The groomer who answered said yes, although they were shortstaffed at the moment, and she asked if I wanted to keep the same time. Still confused, I asked if that was the case, why did they just brusquely turn away my dogs without checking the appointment or giving an explanation. She struggled to answer so I nicely requested to speak to a manager. Suspiciously, this handover took quite a while considering the size of the store. When the manager answered the phone, he suddenly claimed that my docile, ELDERLY AND ILL dog bit another customer's dog. Preposterous claims since 1) they agree old and not aggressive towards dogs or humans, 2) my father was there handling them the entire time as the other customer happily pet our dogs while hers was being groomed. Nor would they furnish CCTV proof or provide our contact info to the customer they claimed said this (he said they "had no way to contact her" and give her our info.) Another lie because every grooming customer must provide a contact number. Also, they only claimed this after I called and asked why they abruptly turned us away. Neither the customer in question nor any personnel mentioned this when my stepdad was AT THE STORE or when I first asked about the appointment. After calling CS, I got the impression the rep couldn't care less. And, although I requested a callback from a supervisor, I have yet to receive anything besides a worthless NPS survey. I've been getting our dogs groomed here since 2016 and was a Vital Care member. Unfortunately, the service quality and revolving door of groomers who are actually decent and caring have both gradually gone downhill, but the location was convenient.  This fabrication to cover for unprofessionalism, however, was the last straw.
