This is a winery with beautiful surroundings, exquisite patio area, and very nice ambience in the tasting room. Years ago we were members and had to cancel the membership because we lived in Arizona and could not receive shipments from May through September, occasionally into October because the temp was so high and UPS trucks are not air conditioned. In fact, we had to cancel all our memberships once we got a shipment where the wines were 90 degrees upon delivery. Still in Arizona, but we can now make fairly regular trips to Temecula to pick up wines. Joined again!!! Why? The wines are just as good, if not even better, than they used to be. Long story short, we came home from a two day trip with 14 bottles of Wiens wines. We must have spent two or three hours tasting, having the lunch we brought with us, and speaking with Tim and Jade about the wines and wine travels. Tim was our primary server. He is incredibly personable and very knowledgeable about these wines, and wines in general. Tim was also serving several other couples, so Jade would fill in when we needed something. She, too, was knowledgeable and personable and kept an eye out for when we needed something. In addition to the delectable wines, the service is sheer perfection making for a remarkable visit. Temecula has some very inspiring wineries with Wiens being among the best in terms of quality and variety. Stop by, ask for Tim or Jade and get ready for a wonderful morning or afternoon. read more

This is my favorite winery in all of Temecula. Yeah, the wines are excellent, but the service is even better. Our favorite server is Samantha. When we first went, she was our server and she completely sold us on a membership. She has the best upbeat attitude and she's always helped us out with a smile on her face. We've gotten a chance to know her a little better this last time and this young lady is absolutely a gem. Such a great spirit, that's the reason why we keep coming back. Wiens Family Celler Known for their big reds. Started with the whites; Pinot Grigio, VERMENTINO, reds; MOURVEDRE, SYRAH, BARBERA (my favorite), SANGIOVESE. The wines were good but this place had nothing that we were in wow about. Our person that gave us the tasting was not very friendly at all, which is unfortunate because they have only been open for two weeks. She should of been more engaging, she could of given us some great descriptions to sell us and what we were drinking. None of that happened, really didn't feel very welcomed to the family cellar, probably won't go back. We left empty handed. read more

This was my favorite winery from my recent Temecula trip. I liked every wine we tasted and the grounds are absolutely gorgeous. There were also a good number of bottles near the $40 range to take home. We sat outside for our tasting and met a bunch of cute pups. Do be warned: if your dog is feisty AT ALL or barks, staff will address it immediately and may ask you to leave. We didn't have animals but witnessed the attentiveness to barking all around us. We got in a little early and as everyone came in for the first wave of the day, tables were filling up with elaborate snacks and cheese. Pack a cooler or enjoy an on-site mobile pizza oven. Spent Christmas Eve here and it was a blast. The white wines are really great here, especially the Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine. Pretty much everything was incredible though and my friend joined the wine club so we will be back. Their orange white wine is a must-try. The server was really friendly and gave us plenty of background information about the wines, without a stuffy or pompous vibe that you might get at other California wineries. The other staff members were also friendly and recommended us places to eat nearby. One of their staff members is moving to Florida so we had plenty to discuss. The patio is nice and so is the tasting room. Cute spot in Temecula. Definitely plan a trip! They were recently acquired so I hope they do more things in the future. Amy (Wien's incredible Marketing Director) and the entire Wien's staff were so accommodating and gracious with their time and the facility/grounds. This combination Adoption Event with Vendors (for dogs & people) was so much fun and a total success for everyone. I visited Wiens Family Cellars for a friends birthday. My friend originally planned to have a picnic lunch at another winery in Temecula but picnic rules have change after Covid restrictions have lifted. Wiens was called ahead of time to ask about picnicking and they welcomed the idea but once our party arrived the staff didn't know how to serve us. We set up on the lawn under an awning near the back of the property with the vineyards in the background, a beautiful backdrop. We played Bocce ball on the lawn and enjoyed the Fourfold Red, and two slightly sweet whites, Reunion Blend and Dulce Maria. We have been members for years. We love this place. We've bought cases of wine, always leave with a bottle or multiple, tell anyone who asks for a recommendation in Temecula about Wiens, bring guests, have had multiple people sign up for memberships due to our rec, and have always had the high lest level of wine club. This is a long overdue honest review for Mike. We have been sat in his section countless times, each and every time we have been treated like second class citizens. He will fill every glass around us, and help people who sat way after us. One time we were ignored for so long another server came over and asked if we had been helped, apologized and then took over. His treatment towards us seems purposeful and deliberate. We have always been gracious and never complained. This weekend really tipped us over. We brought my mother in law and sister in law. Mike told us the bar was closing 25 min before close and it was "last call". My mother in law had her whole tasting card left. She decided to do a "glass" instead to be time efficient. Mike poured literally maybe two tasting pours, not even close to a glass. Our membership comes with 8 tastings and he only gave her maybe at most two tasting pours. I also just said I would use the rest of my card on a single larger pour. He again poured the tiniest amount. Another kind server came around and asked if I was ok. I said well is this four tasting pours worth? And she said NO. And happily poured me what I was owed. I was so embarrassed for the way my guests were treated. I left without taking anything home. Mike is downright bad for business. I can't help but feel he may be more nice to you, if your skin isn't brown. This has been my husband's, mother in law, and my observation. He also was bending down and I kid you not, half of his entire butt was out of his pants. Not the kind of employee I would want representing my brand, business, wine, or customer service. As we sat outside and finished our wine, we saw countless other guests continuing to get wine poured for them. So disappointing. Would love to speak to management about all of our experiences with Mike. Otherwise we may cancel. Be weary of this employee! read more
