Picked up a snack on a Sunday afternoon, my first time trying out this hot dog chain. Plenty of parking was available on site, and the place didn't look busy. There was a bit of outdoor seating, but no restrooms on site. Service was fast but not very friendly at the walk-up window on the street side of the building. In fact, the worker just stepped away after I paid, leaving me at the window before my transaction even finished. I actually had questions which remained unanswered cuz the staff didn't seem like they actually cared. They were just focused on taking orders and getting them out, like robots. Even when my order was ready, they simply left the bag sitting outside the pickup window, no words or interaction at all. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting. I got a plain premium hot dog. It was small, as expected coming from a fast food joint. But the quality and taste were pretty decent. The bread was nothing special yet soft and warm. Been going here for years since it's close by and open late,but I can say they rarely disappoint; and the one time they have it was two years ago and it was DoorDashs fault and not there's. And you get what you pay for but it's filling and decent food with the price. I'm going to show some love to this Weinershnitzel. They never screw up my order and when they have made a minor mistake they fix it no questions asked. The food is consistent and I have never had any off putting food here. The place is clean and rarely do I have to wait very long even when there is a long drive thru line. Partying fairly late and we all got hungry. Not the healthiest thing to order I know lol! We sent our sober friend to get us some food. We had kind of annoying order-- some meals had no cheese, others had add ketchup, only mustard and onions.. just annoying requests. We got home to open the big bag of food and everything was perfect! Been years since I've eaten at a Wienerschnitzel. Went to the drive through and quickly ordered 5 chili hot dogs and a large fry (them) "5 chili dogs and a large fry" (me) "yes please" (them) ok drive up. I drive up to the window and the employee is talking on her phone and ignoring me. The she says "what did you order?" Whaaat? There's no one else here? "I ordered 5 chili dogs and a large fry" (she's back talking on her phone again and ignoring me) another employee comes to the window and asked me what I ordered? (Really???) I told him and he rings it up, she tells me $10.31. If I can give zero stars I would. I waited patiently for my order after the lady got it wrong. As I sit at the window I notice no one wearing gloves while preparing my food. I asked why they weren't wearing gloves and the old lady responded with we don't have too.. health department said we don't have too. I would love to see this disgusting restaurant closed down permanently. Looking at many reviews of this place and came across so many complaints about them not wearing gloves. Happened to me before the pandemic and they were not wearing gloves back then. My belief it shouldn't matter. Gloves should always be used. OK...Why am I giving this Der Weinerschnitzel on Camden Ave 5 Stars? For the same reason the most recent review gave-they get the orders right! Every person who works there is very careful when they take the order. It is repeated back and in every case (my experience) it is perfect. Also, there is only one other recent review so it is time for this one. It is one of the few pieces of preserved Americana from the 60s that still exists. Now I am a big hot dog fan and I feel not all Der Weinerschnitzel are the same. This location is my primary place over all the others. Why-because they try harder. It is an old A Frame style store but the grounds, drive through, sitting areas and exterior are kept very clean. The hot dogs are always cooked to perfection (always hot) and the condiments are always fresh such as their onions and pickles. Never a stale cold bun-always fresh and warm. Their "Tasty Freeze" ice cream is THE BEST! Really like the Corn Dogs! Every employee is polite, couteous, and really seems to want the customer satisfied. I usually walk up and modify their standard hot dog a bit (for a small charge) and they are happy to do it. Always a thank you. Their fries and other items look great (although I am not a fry guy). They seem to use real cheese on everything they sell-not that fake stuff others use. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this store. See you there! read more

Now I know the chili is not real and the hotdogs are made of turkey, but for some reason it fills a craving. This Wienerschnitzel never fails me. It delivers exactly what I want every time. The hot dogs they use here are thin and rubbery and the chili is decent but the cheese is just a slice of American cheese. For some reason reason they put the cheese on the bottom of the bun and the chili on top. Not what I'm used to in a chili dog. 7-Eleven uses really big Oscar Mayer hot dogs and the chili and cheese, although of sub-par quality, is edible and you feel satisfied after eating one. I recommend the Spicy Big Bite, that is more than a quarter pound of beef and with a soda you can't go wrong.
