One of the best restaurants in the area. Really good food and service (curbside pickup). Everything we got was amazing, but our favorites were the steak n cheese eggroll and Shrimp Po'boy. The po'boy was filled with big shrimp and topped with delicious remoulade. The bread was soft and perfect for the sandwich. Highly recommend it. read more

The white wine cream sauce they use on the specials: shrimp & gnocchi, Mac and cheese, etc IS TO DIE FOR

Went in for a quick breakfast during a weekend brunch time. I'm a breakfast burrito fan so I was excited to try theirs. Was pleased with the amount of cheese added to the burrito, I loooove my eggs cheesy and this met my needs. The potatoes did not over power the eggs which was good. I wish it did come with some sort of meat... bacon or chicken? The pico was good, for those that don't like spicy, you'll be fine it didn't have any kick. I also had the vanilla latte, it was on the stronger side but I wasn't mad at that. Overall everything tasted fresh, will be back to try more on the menu. read more

Wicket Door Pub - Breakfast Burrito - Pubs Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

I recently discovered the Wicket Door Pub and I am so glad I did! I've been a few times for breakfast/brunch and for dinner. Everything has been so good! I love the loaded tater tots appetizer. I also really like the pulled pork sandwich - it beats many local BBQ restaurants in terms of quality and it's even better when it's on sale Sunday nights. Even the pancakes and bacon are really good. All of their dipping sauces and salad dressings taste like they are made from scratch which is really nice. The servers also are very attentive and refill drinks and check in regularly. If I could give more than five stars I would. read more

This place is AMAZING. We had the fortunate of getting a flyer about a year ago when they opened. COVID then hit and we decided to support local businesses and do take out. We just had a new baby too, so that might have had something to do with it. Since then we have generally had take out from here once per week. The food is always top notch. Super Nachos could feed and Army! Great sandwiches, Tots, and a killer wedge salad. They run great specials weekly and they are that good, that we generally look forward to picking something new each week. A must try if you haven't. Trust me, it's a hidden Gem. read more

My wife and I had an excellent dinner here. This is a medium-sized wait-to-be seated place with table service. The service was prompt and friendly and took good care of us. The food was excellent. Everything on the menu sounded good and I had a hard time deciding. My wife and I shared the spinach dip. Then I had the Faroe Island Salmon with the bourbon glaze and cheesy grits on the side. They had a fairly small variety of beers on tap (but 3 IPAs?) and I loved the vanilla stout. Overall, we loved it and look forward to going back. read more

This place gets two stars solely because the staff was incredibly friendly and the service was great. Sadly the food was not. Everything our party had was very meh. My shrimp po boy was bland and had too much breading. In addition they were out of many items. There's a lot of options of places to eat, so I'm not sure how/if people return here more than once. read more

Very good service. Our waitress talked up the BBQ that they smoke in house so I had to give it a try. I went for the loaded baked potato with the shredded pork and it was good- something I would order again. The waitstaff and food runners were all very attentive and made sure we were enjoying the meal. The atmosphere of the place seemed a little understated but it was clean and far from being a dive. I'm planning on dropping in again. read more

Food is awesome. Friendly staff. Tater tots are oddly magical. Best part dog friendly including a menu you can order something for your furry friend if you sit outdoors. read more

Remember those college hangouts? Pretty good, creative but not too adventuresome food? A sort of cool vibe? This is one of them. The menu is creative enough without being too full of itself. Think steak bowls with eggs for breakfast. No molecular gastronomy or anything. Service was friendly and a spicy Bloody Mary was wonderful. The bacon is thick and very heavily cured--almost tastes like country ham--and I personally prefer a somewhat more delicate flavor. Still, good and worthwhile if you're in the area. read more

Been here four times in the past week or so now. Food is excellent! Great portions, incredible flavor and good vibe. Everyone who works here is friendly. The place is clean. Seriously, if you are in the area or even if you're not come and try it. The menu is very unique too... new specials every week and the regular menu is very creative. Prices are good for portions- if you think they look high just wait until you see how much food you get and it will feel fair. read more

We were in the mood for sandwiches tonight. The uphill steak sandwich is one of the best in the area. The grilled cheese was pretty amazing as well. Staff is on the Younger side but very attentive and friendly. read more

My first visit here. The wait staff and management were very professional. I wanted a standard breakfast of eggs, bacon and home fries. There was nothing on the menu like that but they suggested I order sides to create it. We ordered the pancake batter bacon which was excellent. I tried to creat my breakfast and came up with 2 eggs, home fries and cheese grits. No meat sides were listed. The eggs and home fries were good but the grits were so sour I sent them back. The management immediately apologized and remade the dish which was perfect Bottom line good breakfast but I wish they had a few standard breakfast items on the menu. read more

The food was good and make sure to get the tots. The service was pleasant and even apologized for the delay as there was a large group of young soccer players that arrived before us. Ambiance was lively with chatter and live games on the TV's. Would definitely go again. read more

This place is so delicious! The food is fresh and unique, the service is great, and they're even great with families. The service is fantastic too. Whenever people visit I bring them here. Also, for the Coronavirus stuff, they are offering curbside pickup for to-go orders. Call and order, and they'll bring it to your car! Help support this small business! read more

Delicious. Service was excellent. Food was tasty. Loaded Tots, naked wings, pancake battered bacon strips. And drinks were well made. Will be back. read more

Ordered pulled pork sandwich with steamed broccoli. Meat was flavorful, slightly smoky and lean. It was not drenched in sugar syrup sauce thankfully. The carolina bbq sauce is served in the side. Sauce was just ok. I was offered others though. Service was excellent. Kaiser bun was sweet and grilled fresh. Broccoli was fresh and well seasoned. Nit picking the broccoli slaw was mayonnaisey and needed a squeeze of citrus. Shrimp and grits was flavorful and fresh. Bloody marys were great. Definitely adding this restaurant to the rotation. Prices are great. Lots of outdoor seating with fountain and nice views. Indoor ambiance is nice, calm, pretty read more

Came in today on a whim after reading an article on them. I got the wings with a side of 'tots and an iced tea and wow! This, this place is my new go-to for wings. Grilled, not fried and the sauce and ranch on the side are perfect. I'd also go back just for the 'tots. Hot, crispy, and seasoned. Straws are not automatically given but if you ask for one, it's compostable so you don't have to worry about the sea turtles. Honestly, they have a menu that will fit any need and better than any place in One Loudoun. Happy to have discovered this "hidden gem" but I have a feeling it won't be hidden for much longer. read more

What a great spot! This was my first time here but my family has been raving about this place for a while and now I know why. They make almost everything from scratch and you can tell by how delicious everything is. We also had a wonderful server, Adam, who was very busy but didn't miss a beat. The chicken Bahn Mi was amazing and I'm so sad it isn't on their regular menu but can't wait to try more of their specials. read more

Went here with some coworkers for lunch. Barry had the burger with an huuuuuuuge amount of tots. Olaf had the burger with brat and was kinda meh. I had the burger, which was cooked perfectly, and the broccoli salad which was splendid. We all thought the place was called "wicked" door pub not wicket. Look forward to coming back for beer and tater tots. So if you're in a bad mood cuz someone said "stick it", cheer up have a beer and go to wicket! ‍ read more

Been to the Wicket Door Pub 2 times now. 1st was for breakfast. Ordered the breakfast burrito which was excellent. They clearly used quality products. 2nd time I ordered the Southwest Burger. The beef was cooked perfectly, peppers were freshly chopped, and avocado was sliced fresh. Service has been superb both times, with friendly staff. The yardbird chicken sandwich was also ordered at the table which was very good. Highly recommend checking this new place out. read more

The food and service was really good when I met friends here a couple months ago. I'll return if I'm in Ashburn.

Oh my god our food was all so good! We got the sriracha butter shrimp as an app (absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly). The caramelized onion burger with a side of tots and a mixed salad with grilled chicken; both absolutely delicious and came out in good time. For dessert we ordered the pancake battered bacon strips as well as their dessert special, blueberry crumb cake (see pics below). Again both were SO good, I wish I took photos of our appetizer and entrees but I was so hungry and it looked so good I couldn't wait. Drinks were perfect and made properly and our service was fantastic! I would definitely consider checking this place out! They offer outdoor/indoor seating as well as takeout. Everything is very well priced as well so I don't feel like I'm overspending. read more

Wicket Door Pub - Blueberry crumb cake and pancake battered bacon strips - Pubs Near Me - Ashburn, Virginia

Disclaimer: I am not one to normally post much. Felt compelled. Went to Wicket Door Pub this afternoon to see a couple friends and sit outside (honestly, due to so many rave reviews from this group and others). At first, we were seated at a table without an umbrella. Not a big deal at all; it was a nice day outside! Well. Then a dark, dark cloud started forming in the distance and before we knew it... A few rain drops started falling. Staff offered, without hesitation, for us to move to a recently cleaned and sanitized table with an umbrella, which we accepted. (Not only did they offer, they assisted in every way possible with getting our stuff moved to the new table.) Once moved, the dark cloud got not only bigger and closer, but thunder was a brewin'. Staff came out to inform everyone on the patio that the managerial staff was watching the radar and informed us that this storm was probably gonna be big... They offered ample indoor seating with enough space to accommodate everyone. We were hesitant, as we were all more comfortable honestly just staying outside so we thought meh, we'll just "let it pass". Wellp. Not only did it not pass... It got worse and worse. Employees readily waited to help us indoors (especially since we were the SOLE table that thought the "wait it out" idea was a smart one), but also happily brought us our checks and to-go containers out to us when we decided to call it. They all went above and beyond our expectations, especially seeing as how this was our fault entirely . They even brought out an umbrella to help escort my baby inside safely when it was just downpouringggg and we were about to leave. Long story short: not only does this place have great food with INCREDIBLE portion sizes.... Their customer service in and of itself deserves some recognition. I'm sad to live kinda far... But it won't stop me and my friends from coming back, I'm sure. Thanks Wicket Door Pub for a memorable experience, to say the least. read more

Mmmmmm yes. It's repetitive but I'll echo every one else regardless- Get a cinnamon roll. Other than the cinnamon roll, I recommend asking what the specials are because they're usually interesting and they change which is a nice bit of variety. The only thing I've been disappointed in so far was the bacon pancakes which just didn't quite work somehow. I think I'm just better off getting pancakes and bacon separately and then drizzling syrup over the whole thing, The ratio must be difficult to get right, or possibly you just can't cook good crispy bacon inside a pancake which makes sense. I appreciate that all of the breakfast and brunch things come with some fruit, and I'm off in a little bit startled in the quantity of food I receive for what I order. It is really easy to cover the table with only a couple dishes. I think of the breakfast things so far, I really liked my burrito the best (cinnamon buns notwithstanding) But you'd be pretty set with anything you wanted to order and the shrimp and grits were delicious last time I was there. read more
