My daughter and I just happened to come across this place on our way to lunch somewhere else. But their brunch sign caught our eye so we gave it a shot. My daughter coins herself a "Mac n cheese connoisseur" and so she had to try the Mac n cheese so she can rate it amongst her favorites. Well let me tell you, the Mac n cheese was SO GOOD!! She's not a fan of bread crumbs on her Mac n cheese, but she loved the bread crumbs as well. She said this is her favorite Mac n cheese so far amongst her favorite places. We also had the garlic Parmesan wings which were good as well. The bartender was really nice and we chatted with her a bit. We will be stopping by again the next time we're in the city! read more

Went with a very big group two days in a row. Very cool place for a young crowd, if you go to the back you are able to put your own music. We ordered two fishtanks and both were very good! I love a great brunch place and Wicked Willys was one of them. The Wicked Breakfast Burger was piled high with melted Swiss, Chipotle mayo, bacon and fried egg what an awesome combination. We also had the Hypnotic Mermaid Margaritas as our brunch cocktail. I never had that combination before but it was very tasty it was actually pretty good. I love a brunch place that have a variety of drinks outside of the normal mimosas. The staff was great, speedy and genuinely happy(or they appeared happy). I made a reservation and when I arrived they had my name on my designated table. The place is LOUD and lively and if you want a relaxed place with piano music playing in the background - this is not the place for you. If you plan on visiting I recommend calling ahead and making a reservation so your table will be waiting for you. read more

My friend and I were looking for a drink on a Saturday night and decided to walk down Bleecker street and wing it. If you were to ask me and pick a place, I'd probably always pick Peculiar Pub but I had weirdly never been to Wicked Willy's before and we decided to pop my cherry. There's a bouncer. From yelp reviews he's apparently famous? He had some nice charisma, I will give him that. We walked in and were seated at a table. There wasn't much room at the bar so it wasn't a biggee. A live performance was going on with some basic white chick singing late 90's - early 2000's pop songs. Anyone remember Vanessa Carlton? Holy crap. lol. They have decent drink specials. $5 beers/wells, $6 rum runners (I had to look this one up). A rum runner is apparently tropical fruit juices, grenadine, and rum. I actually liked it but also felt like I was having a 2010 kind of night. There's also a yelp check in special for $2 off a well drink. Which they had never heard of but they did still totally redeem, which I'll get into later. We split an order of the diablo nachos. Don't get confused and think diablo means spicy because it doesn't. We ordered this with beef which was $3 extra and not really worth it. Moist meat but it literally was a hamburger patty cut up into chunks and thrown on top with sloppy beans and cheese, very very little sour cream, and salsa on the side. Whopping $17. I don't know what we were thinking but not worth it. They do have a boozey brunch here though which might be worth it for $29.95 (a bit steep but it is the village). So the ending of my experience placed a sour note on my tongue. They forgot the $2 off my drink voucher thing and had to rerun the bill. Which honestly it wasn't that big of a deal but I wouldn't have bothered pulling it out if I knew it would take 20-30 minutes to get my bill back. They had to restart the systems. There were numerous apologies but like a complimentary beer for their screw up while waiting that long would have been appreciated as I sat and sat there with my friend until the point of the next set was about to start. I'm glad I finally checked the spot out but I'd probably just only come back for a beer at the bar. Oh, one thing I noticed they do is Buffy the Vampire Slayer trivia on Monday nights. Cutesie brunch place with outdoor and indoor sitting available. We sat outside to avoid the music inside but also because the vibes were better outside. Service was very slow; took us a while to get water served and getting the attention of the server was difficult. I think it might've been because Saturday brunch rush! Food was fire. Still dreaming about the chicken waffle. What a fire combination of sweet and salty to start off your day. Other people in my group got the egg benefits and huevos rancheros and they fully devoured their plate as well. The mimosa with mint in it takes first place - so nice and refreshing. Came here with a voucher for bottomless brunch for 2 people for $40. With the voucher, it was totally worth it!! It covered an entree and unlimited pitchers. Considering that the normal bottomless brunch price is $22 per person plus the price of an entree, the voucher basically makes it half price, which is a steal. Our waitress was also the nicest person, very laid back and friendly. Just be aware that if you come here on a Saturday morning, there will probably be college football playing so it will be loud. However, after the game, the DJ starts playing music and we had such a good time! Took a star off because of the food. Food wise, I got the eggs Benedict de normandy and the eggs tasted slightly vinegary and were also completely hard boiled. Went for the F1 watch party as advertised on instagram. I confirmed over DM that they would be playing the commentary. Arrived at the bar to find they had instead booked a DJ and the area reserved for the F1 watch party would have to listen to the DJ instead of the race. There was no server assigned to the area and in the 2 hours we were at the bar, we had to wander around the venue trying to find someone to take our order. We eventually got a drink after an hour. The food was good but not worth the money or time it took to arrive. When I finally found a member of staff to ask about the race commentary (showing him the DM exchange I had with them) he shrugged his shoulders and said that the DJ would carry on playing his music. We were offered a free round of drinks which the server then charged us for, said it would be impossible to refund and then only brought half the order. We were so fed up by this point we didn't bother following it up. 20 minutes AFTER the race finished they turned the sound of the coverage on which as it turned out was only because the DJ was taking a bathroom break. Let me start by saying I've been going to this bar for years, sometimes for an occasional meet up with friends & other times for events like Margarita March or The NYC Tippler. Wicked Willy's participates in the Tippler often (which I recommend if you like a good cocktail) and they're usually the first stop on the Tippler list. It's a typical bar that gets a mix of West Village residents, NYU students & late night drinkers. With that being said, the food is bar food. They can be hit or miss but they don't go wrong with things like french fries or mozzarella sticks. The last time I went, I wasn't really in the mood for hangover food since I wasn't starving, so I tried the Spiced Watermelon. I loved it. Yes, ordering fruit in a bar is strange, but it was needed and I'm glad it was on the menu! If you like tajín on your fruit, you'll enjoy this. Now the cocktails are REALLY where this place shines. I've never had a bad drink from the place. It's rare to find a place this divey that can also make a good craft cocktail. Cheers to the bartenders & staff! read more

Gotta give this place credit: really specious and for a basic bar, I was very surprised that they had a cocktail menu. Came on a Saturday and there was a live band until 10. They were pretty good. And after that, throughout the night, there were different competitions on the stage like limbo and dance. I think it's pretty cool that they try to keep people engaged. I had the Tahitian Pearl and that was amazing ! So delicious. After that, I had a sour apple and watermelon margarita. Thorough disappointments after that first drink. All I could taste was the flavoring. And they labeled and promoted the margarita special as "frozen margaritas for $7" but they weren't frozen...pretty upsetting. As for food, their guacamole and chips were delicious. Mozzarella sticks were good but can you ever eff those up? It was a fun eccentric place, def a beach pirate vibe while in the middle of soho and a dreary January day. The waitress was kind, really pushed the Rose sangria. It was good, but we tend to drink heavy so it was more on the fruitier side. The burger was good, the egg cooked perfectly, the mayo made it so tasty. It was a nice laid back Saturday experience. Bought a pulsd for brunch with a couple of friends. The pulsed was $39 for 2 entrees and bottomless drinks for 60 minutes. The food and bottomless drink options were pretty good! The thing on their menu that I wanted to try wasn't on the shortlisted Covid menu which I was bummed about but I ended up getting the avocado toast which was good. My party of 4 came solely for drinks but we ordered fried pickles after being told drinks had to be served with food. No big deal, except the waitress didn't bring us the pickles until we were pretty much done with our first round and reminded her. We then got a mimosa carafe to share, but no one brought us glasses so we had to use our water glasses. We then had to ask for the check 3 times. Made reservations for brunch on a Sunday and that went smoothly. I came with my girlfriend for brunch and we were the only ones here for 12pm!!! Tina was our waitress and she took very good care of us. The food did not come so fast that we thought it was pre-made but not so long that we were chocolate wasted before we got our food! Tina eventually had other customers but she made sure to watch our table and keep us constantly supplied with mimosas. It is a one hour time limit for the bottomless but well worth it. We had regular mimosa and also a bottomless drink with St. Germain and it was also tasty; especially with if you don't like an overly sweet drink for brunch. The menu has changed because of the current health crisis but, for the current options available they are egg based but versatile. Overall it was a great time (and football Sunday! Her attitude towards us and other servers working with her was simply horrid and inappropriate. ***This lady had space buns with a piercing under her lip. She is extremely rude. This is not the hospitality that should be given at a bar on a Saturday afternoon. **** I also asked someone else for her name and they simply said they didn't know like ok. I'm in the industry I get it's busy I get low staff but being so rude for no reason and screaming louder than the music is another thing. First thing my boyfriend said when we sat down was she shouldn't be working in a bar like this over the first impression 35 minutes later turns out he was right. I will absolutely never return to this horribly run bar. We planned a birthday event that we had to buy tickets for in advance and that we had discussed via email with Hannah for weeks. When we arrived, the bouncer acted like we were lying about the event as we pulled literal tickets out. He then tried to make us pay again even though they made a point to have us pay early. Then, we go to the back upstairs area and the manager said they had no record of our event existing (lies - see picture below). Then the manager tried to pivot from blissful ignorance to say that because we opened a tab at the bar the event was void. Which was ludicrous considering the only reason we went to the bar was because they told us our event did not exist. Then once we finally got up there, they didn't give enough wristbands for access to the area for our party. We told the manager this and she refused to give us more. All in all, worst experience I have ever had at a bar in New York City and I cannot believe we wasted money and time at this shit hole. read more
