Quincy market is fully stacked with tons of restaurants with diversity but wicked lobsta had the longest line and I came to Boston for a crab roll. Thankfully the line moves fast but usually a line for a place means they got something worth waiting for. The crab roll was incredibly savory and fresh tasting. The bread itself went well with the crab salad, and it feels like something you could have as something light to eat if you aren't super hungry.
Wicked Lobster: Quick and Okay, But Overpriced. Located inside the bustling Quincy Market food stalls, Wicked Lobster serves up fast seafood with a distinctly tourist heavy vibe. The staff at the counter won't win any awards for hospitality. When it was my turn to order, the cashier just blankly said, "Yeah?", which felt pretty unwelcoming. However, the service was incredibly fast, and I quickly found a nearby standup stall to eat. I ordered the hot buttered lobster roll. This was my first ever lobster roll, and it was honestly just okay. The butter flavor didn't really shine through, and the bread roll itself was pretty soggy. It was definitely not worth the $34 price tag. As an Asian, hot sauce is my ketchup, so I was thrilled they offer Cholula at the counter. Dousing the whole thing in hot sauce definitely improved the flavor profile and saved the meal. If you are already exploring the market, definitely look for another stall because the low quality and bland flavor does not justify the high price.
I ordered the hot lobsta special (hot lobster roll, small clam chowder, lemonade) for $39.99. It's a good deal for the amount of food and a drink that's not soda. I do like the clam chowder from Boston Chowda Co. so it's easier to get the deal. The lobster in the lobster roll was decent, not that fresh but it was warm at least. The clam chowder was piping hot and there's a good amount of clams. The lobster roll special was okay for a touristy place like Quincy Market but would prefer other places though.
Walk up service. Crab cakes took a bit to be ready, which is fine. Other food was not plated until cakes were ready, keeping everything warm. Food was very good, if a little pricey, but seemed to be the going rate in the area. Hard to find seating during normal eating hours.
First time is Boston so I figured let me check the lobster roll and clam chowder off my list. Although there are many places and other cuisines to choose from, something about this spot caught my eye in the Faneuil Hall Market. This place is in food hall, so you will need to find a place to sit or stand to eat. The line was long, which is a good sign but the service was quick. The price is steep ($40) but it looks like this is the price everywhere in Boston. The roll was filled with lobster chunks, I didn't feel swindled. The clam chowder was also very tasty. I'm glad they offered a combo!
Lobster rolls are a must when in Boston. I like coming to Quincy market and exploring the different shops. This visit I chose wicked lobsta because he stopped us and had us try the clam chowder. My youngest loves clam chowder and the taste of the sample was so delicious we wanted more. I ended up getting the seafood sampler special that came with 4 lobster rolls (lobster, mixed seafood, seafood salad and crab) 2 clam chowders and 2 drinks. For $49.99 this was definitely a deal for Boston. As we waited for our order we walked around to see what other ships were nearby and to my surprise he came out and walked our order to us! What great service!
Heard good things about Wicked Lobsta, supposedly the best and a must-try in New England. I personally found it unmemorable and overhyped. A tourist trap, but I have no regrets.
When in Bastan, try the Labsta! It's pretty pricy no matter where you go. The lobster roll we had was fresh and delicious! The staff were very kind to let us try the bisque and the clam chowder before deciding too! One of the best spots in Quincy market!
Was in Boston for work so I had to have a lobster roll. A quick google search sent me to wicked lobsta. It was close by and had the best reviews so I stopped in for a lobster roll and was not disappointed. It's a counter in a food hall with lots of variety. Friendly and quick service, My lobster roll came out quickly and looked delicious! I sat in the open seating area and really enjoyed the relaxed ambiance. Perfect for a solo traveler. The lobster was buttery and cooked perfectly, the roll was fluffy and light. I tried other lobster rolls during this trip and this one was my favorite this trip!
My first ever lobster roll, and this spot couldn't have made me love the dish more! With the ambiance of Quincy Market, eating here will make you feel like a true Bostonian. While the price is steep, the portions are actually quite large and the quality is great, so I'd definitely recommend this roll, it's more than just a tourist trap for sure! Additionally, the service here was fast, accommodating, and extremely friendly! I helped host a large event here with some of my friends, and purchasing a large catering order was made super easy by the helpful staff. Overall, the experience felt joyful and celebratory, and I'd certainly come back with friends or family for a trusted comfort lobster roll any day of the week!
Stopped by Wicked Lobsta during a trip for Red Sox Opening Day with a friend who needed the full Boston experience and that obviously means a proper lobster roll. Been here a few times , so it was a no brainer that still delivers. Went with the hot butter roll because that is the only way to do it and it was exactly what you want rich, fresh, and on point. Added the lobster mac and cheese to round things out. It was good, just didn't hit quite as hard as I remember. My friend left happy though, so that's a win. If you haven't been it's def a spot worth checking out!

This restaurant is located in Quincy Market. It's a busy market, with lots of food choices. It was crowded with lively music. We ordered the sampler that came with four rolls, 2 clam chowders and 2 drinks for $49.99. This was a deal. The rolls were filled with the various seafood (lobster, shrimp, tuna and crab mix). Our order came out quick and it was all delicious. It was our first stop in food, and it was great choice. Definitely will recommend.

We had a great time eating some Wicked Lobsta. The prices were fair for the large chunks of lobster we got for our meals! The service was fast and friendly. It's located in Quincy Market and I love the bustle and vendors there! There was also a great spot in the middle for tables to sit and eat all the different foods! We got a few things hot lobster roll, Main lobster dinner, and lobster Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. Two came with free drinks and hot clam chowder! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that I thought the lobster for the whole lobster was slightly over cooked along with the corn on the cob. Would go back! read more
Not a bad place to hit up for a lobster roll if you're in the tourist-trap that is Quincy Market! Keep in mind that while several of the seafood joints in Quincy Market all might have different names, I believe they're all actually controlled by the same owner as they all use the same packaging and have the same names for menu items. The lobster roll was one a super buttery bread that already was award-winning. The lobster was spiced real nice and full of flavor. Definitely nothing left wanting after getting a lobster roll here. But it's the clam chowda that really makes this place shine. The broth is light and full of real clams and full of flavor. BUTTER! That's all I really remember from the Naked Lobster Roll. The entire bun was just soaked in so much butter that picking up the roll require two hands to keep the bun from falling apart from too much butter. As if it was a precursor, these rolls came with forks which I'm definitely not familiar with any lobster roll being served with. I certainly wasn't expecting Maine quality lobster roll, but the price certainly dictated a need to compare. The "Maine Lobster Roll" was slightly better but instead of the bun slathered with butter, the copious amount of Mayo really detracted from the fact that it was a lobster roll. Sure the lettuce was fresh and tried to provide a good crunch contrast but in the end, someone needed to lighten up on the Hellman's. The soup ended up being the best item for the meal. I should expect prices to range from $25-$40 for mediocre to great lobster rolls. With a name like wicked lobster, I figured it should be wicked good. Couple that with the price for the combo at $41, I should be in for a treat. Wrong. The lobster was over cooked and chewy (Sacrilege!). Was visiting Boston for the weekend and the family needed try a lobster roll, they really enjoyed. I'm allergic to gluten so I went the chowda route and was surprised. I got the Lobster Corn Chowda and was in love with it. I wish it had more lobster meat, but the over dish was delicious. I also got the shrimp cocktail on the side and it was also a hit. We got last-minute mandatory 'Boston' gifts after our hotel check out, then worked up a small appetite for a Lobster Roll (sans Mayo) and Lobster Bisque here at Quincy Market. Hubs had gotten the roll which was actually meaty - but had way too much seasoning of some kind and couldn't taste that true lobster flavor. Our Lobster Bisques though- had a very nice consistency and flavor was tops. Hubs took matters into his own hands and put the over-seasoned lobster in our Bisque to give it some oomph. The naked lobster roll is a great option if you're not into this heavier mayo salads. The roll was loaded with a generous portion. For the price I would expect to get a side. The roll itself is buttered as in most places, which makes it a little heavy. The service is super quick! read more

We were on a weekend trip and visited Quincey Market. They are located right inside with other restaurants and little shopping and street entertainment. This was a great little stop. The grilled brioche bun was a plus with the naked lobster roll. The chowder could use a little salt and pepper but still tasty. read more

Stopped by Faneuil Hall to check out the offerings, we knew we had to try a lobster roll in Boston. This place looked good, the guy offered a tasting of the clam chowder, it was good. They had a combo with a lobster roll, a chowder and drink. I believe it was under $30. We upgraded and got lobster bisque instead of the chowder. We got the naked roll, which is lobster with warm butter and the traditional roll with mayo and split them to try both. I'm not a lobster person, but when in Rome... I thought they were equally good, my friend enjoyed them, too. She said they weren't the best she's had (she been to Maine and all over to eat them) but they were solid lobster rolls. The lobster bisque was decent, I think it needed seasoning. All in all I enjoyed this spot. read more

The clam chowder comes with the combo and is a creamy, potato-ey warm cup of joy. The roll for the lobster was as tasty as the generous helping of lobster itself. The bread is buttery and toasted and only showcases the lobster. No added dressings or sauces. In a word, this was divine. The lobster Mac & cheese is filling. There's not a lot of lobster, so if you want lobster, skip the Mac and select the roll. read more
Came all the way from Texas and had to get my Lobsta fix. Simply amazing! Too big to pick up and eat so I knife and forked it, the bread was a bit soggy from the butter but who would skimp on butter anyway?? The lobster pieces were so big, buttery and sweet. The bread was warm and soft. The clam chowder was also good, I've had better but I wasn't there for the soup. The lemonade was fresh, sweet and sour, it hit the spot. I have tried several lobster rolls when in Boston and this one is the best one I've had here. They don't skimp on the lobster and the bread is hot and buttery! They serve Boston Chowda Co. clam chowder here which is great too. The food comes out fast and there is open seating in the middle of the hall. read more

I have to give a shout out to Wicked Lobsta. These guys are located in a booth inside Quincy Market, all indicators should say its fast food and it's going to be a wicked mess. Everything about this lobster roll was on point. I ordered "Naked Lobsta Roll". Here's my take: the lobster meat was fresh. It was buttery without being oily or greasy and the bun was baked fresh. Wicked Lobsta hit a total homefun out of Quincy Market with their lobster roll. I have to mention, the portion size was also large and in charge. The counterperson was cool and very patient. I knew what I wanted to order, my wife was looking at the menu and undecided. Once she decided to order the exact same thing I ordered, the food came out quickly. We sat down and just devoured these lobster rolls! If you're in Quincy market and are looking for something to eat, I highly recommend Wicked Lobsta. read more
I forget what lead me to choose this place for lobster rolls over the other stores in Quincy Market. Given the crowded bustling ambiance in a tight knit space, we didn't think too much and indeed ordered a $34 Traditional Maine Lobsta Salad Roll. I didn't experience the outstanding cashier service people were talking about, and instead felt cold vibes from the cashier who didn't crack a smile. That service alone and almost being mistakenly scammed by the cashier didn't get me excited to try this sandwich, no matter how good it could be. Out of the lobster rolls I've tried, the meat honestly didn't stand out to fill the price. Although there were a good amount of medium sized pieces and the lobster was succulent and boasted its natural sweet taste without need for seasoning or mayo, it was on the lumpy dry side. The brioche roll saved the meal with how wonderfully buttery and creamy it was! Together, the roll was still delicious and fulfilled everything I was craving. In just a couple bites, $34 is gone. I'm not sure how the other stands compare since they all go by market prices but I would recommend going when they're cheaper or elsewhere outside Quincy Market for cheaper lobster rolls that still satisfies the spot. read more
3.5 stars is what I think this place deserves. It's located inside quincy market on the right as you walk through. I ordered a cold lobster roll and payed ~$33. I guess the price was average but I've been to places where they make a little bigger roll for the same price. It was tasty not too "fishy" which I really don't like to taste in some seafood. The bread could have been a little more toasted and buttered, but overall pretty good. They were pretty busy just like some other stores around them. I would suggest you give it a try! read more
Came here after finishing up a Freedom Trail walking tour that ended right by Quincy Market. Figured I must try a lobster roll so decided to stop here based on review and it did not disappoint! I got their classic lobster roll which was the cold one and it was delicious! Considering how much lobster they gave me it was also priced super fair. I mean it's a decent option, but it's hard to go that wrong with lobster rolls. Got the warm lobster roll combo, which was tasty and fresh but also basically your average lobster roll. Bun got a bit soggy on the bottom. Clam chowder was, again, basically your typical clam chowder; didn't find anything particularly noteworthy or "award winning" about it. Lemonade was a bit on the less-sweet side, which I didn't mind (and I definitely prefer it over being overly-sweet). Prices are typical for a tourist place. read more

This walk up serving place was inside a bigger mall type building, with some amazing lobster entrées and sides. We just tried the standard lobster, and it was delicious. We didn't try all the other options that they had available, but it seems like everyone was really enjoying what they had. Overall very clean and tidy, and enjoyable place to eat lobster read more
