A friend of mine recently gifted me a 2-pack box for my birthday which I thought was pretty sweet. I was able to choose my own flavors and even the shipping date. The cupcakes arrived on time as expected and were packaged securely. It included two spoons along with a flyer card giving brief instructions to eat within 7 days or freeze. For the flavors of cupcakes, I chose their Chocolate Sea Salted Caramel and The Wicked Good. To be honest, I had a hard time choosing due to various negative reviews on the cupcakes and flavors. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the ones I had. Let's just say, I dusted both jars of cupcakes in one sitting. The Wicked Good i'd say lives up to its name. When people say it's not overly sweet, it's true. It's hard to explain that goodness until you've actually tried it for yourself and then it'll all make sense. If I had to choose between the two on what I would reorder, it would be The Wicked Good. I mean, don't get me wrong, the Chocolate Sea Salted Caramel was perfectly moist and had a nice balance of that sea-salted caramel flavor throughout. It tastes even better with vanilla ice cream and would be perfect for any chocolate lover. I will say though, these jars are pretty pricey. However, they do make great gifts! From what I'm aware of, they were recently acquired by Hickory Farms as of 2021 and are not sold in retail stores. They do have a cupcake truck in Fort Wayne, IN if you're in that area and looking to try them out. Overall, I thought the cupcakes were good. Happy to have tried these at least once. I placed an order for my son who is away from home. It was his first time celebrating his birthday without his family and I wanted to make sure he had a cake to eat for his birthday. He was homesick and feeling alone so I thought this would cheer him up. Well, I was let down...I was able to choose the delivery date and the website stated that I would receive a shipping confirmation when the items were shipped and when it was delivered. I did not receive such email. I had to reach out to the company and find out what was going on. I was told via email that my shipment wouldn't arrive until the day after my requested date. I was upset and very disappointed. I thought that this company was based out of Chicago, why did my shipment ship from Pennsylvania??? Is that why it took an extra day to arrive? Had I known it was shipping from Pennsylvania, I would have added another day for it to arrive on time. After going back and forth via email, the customer service representative apologized and issued a refund of my shipping cost. It was a nice gesture however it did not make up for the fact that it arrived the day after the intended delivery date. I expected a full refund. My son is without transportation and had to walk a ways to receive his package so this was a HUGE inconvenience for him. Thankfully he finally received his birthday cake and was happy. He shared with his roommate and enjoyed the cakes. From the looks of the video he sent me, it seems like they were very pleased with these cakes. Would I order from here again? Probably not. Just be aware that shipping may take longer so if you do order from here then add at least a couple days more just in case. Customer service was nice via email. I ordered a box of four jars for my husband for Valentine's Day. My advice would be to save your money. Including shipping, I paid $52.00 and some change. The flavors I chose were carrot cake, salted caramel, red velvet cake, and the original wicked good. The jars are super small, so you don't get much product. We tasted the carrot cake and salted caramel and both were dry, and overly sweet. We were extremely underwhelmed. The red velvet and the wicked good flavors we either won't eat, or we'll give them to a neighbor. I didn't know Wicked Good Cupcakes were bought out by Hickory Farms until after I placed my order, so that should tell you something about the quality. Less than...meh... They arrived packed beautifully. Excited to try the large variety of flavors. Pulled out a few jars to try, froze the rest for later. The cake to frosting ratio is good. The frosting is very sweet, but some may like that, I found it too sweet. The cake was very dry and crumbly. Not at all the texture of a cupcake. Dry cake was a mess coming out of the jar. Great idea. Not so great taste. Of course we saw this company on Shark Tank and had to try it. Adorable and functional packaging! Every jar was in perfect condition after it's long journey! My favorite flavor was cookie butter and my son's was s'mores. Here's the bad news.... Cake itself it very dry. Ganaches and fluffs are delicious but the accompanying frostings are way too sweet. I do appreciate the lack of preservatives though. It is 2 cupcakes if you make them so they don't rise over the cupcake tin which was plenty for 1 if you've really got a sweet tooth or for 2 to share or since it's super easy to store the leftovers for one for two different sittings! Don't think for the price I would order these again. Only with a good discount and an intriguing flavor I wanted to have. Fun for sure but lacking in cravability. read more

My review is purely on service, as my cupcakes haven't been delivered yet. I placed my order online on Dec 3 with a Dec 11 delivery date selected. These are gifts for members of my team and I wanted them to arrive on the day of an upcoming meeting. I never received any email confirmation for my order. I have received TONS of marketing emails, but no order confirmation. I created an account when I placed my order, and thankfully took a screen shot of the order confirmation so I had the order number. I tried both logging in to my account and using the non-logged in method to check my order status online but both options did not display any information on my order. I then emailed customer service on Dec 4 because I wanted to make sure my order was actually received. To date, there has been no response to my email. Finally, yesterday Dec 10th I received an email saying my cupcakes have shipped. The email shows a delivery date of Dec 13, not Dec 11th as I selected. Today is Dec 11th and the FedEx tracking details still show they have not shipped yet. In my opinion, this company has failed in every aspect of service. I can only hope that the cupcakes are actually good and arrive in good condition, but given the reviews I am now seeing, I am not optimistic. Like others have said, these are very expensive for what they are (over $10 per cupcake jar plus an additional $10 to ship). Service should be on point and the product should be consistently high quality, but that doesn't seem to be true here. This review is 100% based on an online order that I placed through wicked good cupcakes. I've never seen the location I don't know what it looks like but I placed my order for six assorted cupcakes. I got to choose the flavors and had them delivered a day before Easter, they arrived in perfectly good condition and on time...... I am definitely surprised by the low stars that they have because one of the six flavors that I tried were amazing. Let me say that one more time. AMAZING. .... Yes, they were super moist and fresh and sweet, and delicious some of the flavors more sweet than others. They had so much flavor I can't say which was my favorite but the wicked good flavor was yum! The lemon blueberry was also delicious and I try the Keylime pie was good but it definitely did not have enough lime flavor. I used to order these for every valentines and birthday for my husband, before they were apparently bought out. Well I thought I would do a throwback for this Valentine's Day. Big mistake. I placed an order on the 2nd and scheduled delivery for the 13th. The package was not received by fedex until 4pm on the 12th. With standard shipping there was no way it would arrive on time and sure enough I didn't get them until Monday following valentines which was on Friday. This was clearly the fault of wicked good not fulfilling the order until the last second, I would have appreciated a heads up at least about being behind on orders. Well we tried the cupcakes and they were a let down. First off I'm pretty sure they're smaller than they used to be--the presentation was lacking, didn't look like the pictures when before it was perfect. And the quality of the product has gone down--tasted cheap and drier than before. I never received any shipping email all the way until 2/9, so I called them, but they close by 5pm EST, and are off all weekend, so I had to send an email to them, and wait until Monday to give them another call. A flawed concept in key ways. The concept is a cupcake in a jar. But it's sold as 2 cupcakes in a jar so when you order them you have to take the portion out of the jar (what's the point!!) - unless you are comfortable eating out of the same jar with someone else. And I know that it's a sweet treat but the calories of some of the flavors are insane for the taste --- we ordered 6 flavors. Some jars packed over 800 calories! We've been ordering WGC for about a year now for gifts and some for us as we loved the story on shark tank. My mother has been ill and in the hospital off and on for a year and giving them to the nurses and they have been ecstatic! More the fact these are very rich, very expensive but I think a well earned reputation as now a great gift item for family and friends as well as care givers that get a great hey wouldn't normally order on their own. I bought a few jars of this for a gift in a moment of weakness. I was visiting Boston and my friend in LA had talked about this. I knew that she would never tell me if the gift was good or bad so I bought an extra to whip up as a test batch. What a sham!! This tasted NO different to Dunkin Hines $1.50 box of cupcake mix to me. At $7.50 per jar, I'm floored at how any repeat business could be had. I was expecting to be amazed at the taste, consistency and flavor and have one of those, "Okay ...
