I ordered a Flamingo-themed birthday cake and cupcakes, and the baker did an amazing job! The design was absolutely beautiful and even better than I imagined. Every detail was done so perfectly, and the cake and cupcakes looked stunning. Best of all, they tasted delicious! Everyone loved them. I highly recommend them. read more

$3 for a giant loaf of bread. $8 for a lobster tail. The pastry was stale, but the cream filling was lovely -- generous and perfectly sweet. I suppose if you knew when it came out fresh, it would be really delicious. Price is pretty good! I bet the fresh cakes are pretty good too, since lobster tails are probably the most sensitive to sitting out. read more

Was craving a sweet and am in walking distance of this bakery. I stopped by in the afternoon around 3:30 at the beginning of the week. They did seem out of some stuff and I grabbed the last lobster tail ($8) The red velvet cupcakes looked really good and I would defintely recommend coming here for any sweet treats or cakes. Since I walked here I can't advise on the parking, if lucky you'll find some street and you may even be able to park in the lot to the right of them. There is a $10 minimum on card - so bring cash if you want something under. Service was patient with me and nice. I would love to try their Sicilian slice pizza! read more

I ordered a German Chocolate Cake (Small) for my boyfriend's birthday, (ordered from New Orleans to Watertown, MA) so I was nervous about it getting there, but this place was the best! The cake tastes amazing, (according to him of course), super fresh, and decorated so beautifully! Also came in clutch with the candles!! I will definitely be ordering again! And making a stop when visiting! read more

My family have shopped here for decades, now I travel about 30 miles to get our holiday pastries. Great people, and products.

**ordered via UberEats** I am always looking to try new bakeries. I came across Continental Bakery and it doesn't seem to have much traffic on Yelp. They have SO many items on the menu, it was actually hard for me to decide. I settled for a Red Velvet cupcake, a Dulce de Leche Cupcake, a mini ricotta pie and a cannoli. I appreciate the mini sizes - especially for the Cannoli. It's rich and was stuffed with filling without having that overly heavy after cannoli feeling. The ricotta pie is hands down my favourite it is soft and crumbly and just the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. The cupcakes were beautiful and tasted fresh. I'll definitely be coming back to try some of their other pastries. read more

Ordinary Italian bakery with assorted baked goods available inside. I went in to order a birthday cake and the person who helped me was named Judy. She was very helpful and approached me to ask if I needed help when I was browsing their cake display. The strawberry vanilla shortcake looked very enticing and Judy was helpful in helping me decide. I picked up the cake the next day. We surprised the birthday girl with the cake and it tasted wonderful. The strawberries were juicy and sweet and the strawberry layer inside the cake delicious Finished it in few days. Tip: Order day before to give them time to bake it well. read more

I am so pleased to have stumbled across Continental Bakery! From Los Angeles, I ordered Postmates for a friend's birthday today. Continental came up, and I ordered a small strawberry shortcake, mini canolis and lemon bars. My friend amd her mom said that the strawberry shortcake was the best cake they have ever had! Fresh and light were 2 adjectives used. And they adore the mini deserts too! Thank you for making beautiful baked goods. I will be by, when I visit next time! And will probably do more Postmates orders for family and friends! read more

I ordered a half vanilla and half chocolate cake for my daughter's 7th birthday and she cuts the cake it was only vanilla, talked about a disappointment for a child. I called them to let them know the same day and the person answered the phone was very apologetic and said to call the next day when the baker was working. I called no one picked up so I stopped by to talked to them and one person told me oh the baker doesn't believe that I'm telling the truth because she did make a half vanilla and half chocolate and and I said she didn't and if she did why would I have wasted my time left work early to come see her. I was in disbelief when she said that and I showed her the video of the cake while my daughter was cutting it and everything she was still insisted that the baker said that she made it how I ordered it and she oh I'll have the baker give you a call the next day in a very rude manner. That happened June 27th and I have yet to receive that phone call back . Horrible service representative read more

Best bakery in Everett. All sorts of pastries, but my favorite are the almond cookies. And the bread, great bread.

Ordered my daughters birthday cake 3 weeks in advance and put a deposit down for the cake to be ready on April 3, show up to get the cake and it's not there! They said "she forgot to make it!" Like excuse me! You forgot! I paid for this cake weeks in advance! They didn't even offer me a complimentary replacement of one that was already made literally offered me nothing but an I'm sorry! My daughter had 20 people are her party where she had NO CAKE! This is so unacceptable and all they said was oh well sorry! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Like it's literally your job to make cake! How do you forget?!?? I paid for the cake too! AWEFUL HOW THEY CONDUCT THEIR BUSINESS! Never ever again! read more

Unfortunately I have to write this review and only give two stars based on my most recent experience with this bakery. I will say that I have used this bakery many times in the past for customized cake ordering and have never had an issue until today. I placed an order for a cake and the girl who was taking the order was not paying any attention to me. She didn't ask me anything about how I wanted the cake to look and she was rushing through taking the order. Still, i placed the order because it was a fairly simple cake and I trusted that they would do a good job as they have in the past. The next day, I got a call from Continental Bakery saying that I never picked up my cake. Well, thats because I placed the order for a cake to pick up a week from now and the girl who took the order put down the wrong pick up date. Instead of apologizing to me for the mistake and assuring me they would make a new cake for next week, the person on the phone treated it as if I made the mistake. I had to cancel the order after this experience because I was afraid that they will just place the cake in the freezer for a week until I pick it up. I would recommend training your staff to be more attentive to the customers. When someone places a cake order they should be confident that the cake will be fresh and ready on the date requested instead of having to worry that the order is incorrect because the order was rushed. I will be taking my business to Elm Street Bakery from now on. read more

Best Italian macaroons . We order once a week! They go well with coffee, wine and milk. Just yumminess!

AWESOME cupcakes! Their vanilla cupcake (both cake and frosting) are so good and they're only 85 cents! How can you beat that?? They have other cupcake flavors too and they're all great. I did get a half moon once, and it wasn't good - kinda stale. But the cupcakes are consistently good. With the prices you can't go wrong! read more

Probably should be 3.5 stars... I loved the mini slice of chocolate cake, but the frosted brownie was pretty dry and the M&M cookie was absolutely hard as a rock. The service was fast and very nice and the prices were extremely reasonable. I'll definitely be back for cake and maybe I'll give the other items another chance. It might have just been an off day...? read more

Oh Continental Bakery, please move to FL and open up a store! I'm so addicted to their cookies. I'm having withdrawals now that I'm home. I was able to walk to this bakery from where I was staying. I got a lb of cookies on my first trip and a chocolate cannoli. Second trip was to take home more cookies and cannoli's. I believe the cookies were close to $8lb and the cannolis were like $1.70? Not bad prices compared to the non Italian bakery here. They charge over $12 for a lb of non Italian cookies.. blah!! They do make specialty cakes, they did have a few displayed. I wasn't able to try their cakes or pies. I am trying to convince my brother to send me a lb of cookies a week! lol! This was the first place I hit when I came to town. I'd defiantly go back! The owners super friendly too! read more

Some of the rudest people I ever encountered. The millennial girls they have at the counter are always in a bad mood and the older lady is sooo rude. The items are ordinary, you are way better served going to any of the ton of other bakeries in Everett and vicinities! The girls in the counter would not even acknowledge my presence and kept talking with each other, when called they acted like helping a customer was something that bothered them!!!! I don't know what happened with this place but I'm definitely taking my business somewhere else, and telling everyone I know to do the same. read more

The only thing good I can say about order was that it was ready on time. This has always been my favorite bakery for pastry and cookies and I have no issue with these products, but my son's christening cake was a disaster. I did a cake order, custom, with the cake decorator a couple of weeks earlier and did it in person. We designed a plain buttercream cake that was supposed to have different shaped leaves in different color greens cascading down the side all in Buttercream. I told the baker it had to feed 20. She initially told me a medium cake would be best, but when I questioned why, she said it was better to feed 25-30. I insisted on a small knowing there's always leftovers. When I picked the cake up yesterday the woman who brought it over asked if it looked right and I said not at all. I let her know the leaves WERE in different color greens, but they were all the same leaf and they were in fondant which I hate. She looked at the instructions on the back of the order form and saw all the specifics for my cake. She even said my design sounded pretty!!! I took the cake since it was for my son's christening this morning and there was no time to get another cake made. I had prepaid in full for the cake at the time of my order, $50. After I told them about the mistakes they didn't offer any money back or anything, just that she'd let the baker know. Not sure how that was going to help me in that moment. I would have let all this go but no one ate the cake! It was terrible!!! The buttercream was waxy, overly sweet and almost inedible, I had to peel all the fondant leaves off that were thick and nasty, and the cake tasted like it had been frozen! I threw away more than half. Thank god I insisted on the smaller cake. This was an awful experience and I will never order a cake from there again. read more

When the cakes are fresh and well-made, they are a 4 star bakery! However, the inconsistency of their cakes is a huge problem. We often order cakes for special occasions and of late we have found them previously frozen, incorrect, poorly decorated, or, as was the case yesterday, missing an entire layer so half way throughout cutting the cake fell over. We have addressed some of these issues with the owner, and she simply tries to mend things by offering a discount or remade cake...that is really not the point. She clearly has some inept individuals working for her, and the quality of the place is suffering because of them. These cakes aren't cheap and a messed up or lousy cake ruins an otherwise happy occasion. It's both unprofessional and inconsiderate to run a business in this manner. I keep ordering and saying I'll give it one more try....this was the last time I'll do that. read more

I ordered my wedding cake from Continental Bakery and I found the whole process to be stress-free. I called ahead to find out if I needed an appointment and was pleased to find out I could come in any time the wedding cake specialist was there. So, the day I wanted to go in, I just called in to make sure she was there. I was able to go after work. We tried several cakes and chose the strawberry short cake. I was so pleased with the cake. It was so moist and the frosting was delicious. My guests loved it as well. I would highly recommend them for wedding cakes. The cheese cake is great too! read more

"Looks aren't everything" kinda sums up my impression of this particular confectionery establishment. I was craving something sweet for breakfast one morning and after driving by this bakery every day for almost a year, I finally decided to stop in and check out what they had. More of a true italian bakery, than a pastry shop, their display cases were filled with bread, cakes and cookies of all kinds. Unfortunately, there wasn't much of a breakfast selection. I decided to try a piece of peach dutch cake that looked pretty good. It was okay. There wasn't much peach flavor in it at all and tasted more like plain pound cake. It was very cheap - less than $2 so that was good, but I've definitely had much better pastries elsewhere! read more
