We love this steakhouse!! Service is good and steaks are great after an afternoon of touring wineries!

I originally wrote this review two years ago, so perhaps things have changed since then. When we visited to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we ordered the bisque (tasty!) as well as the chef's special (coulotte) and the salmon, each with mashed potatoes; both entrees were good. The brown butter cake, which our server described to us as "if a funnel cake and a churro had a baby", was the highlight of dinner. The atmosphere is where the restaurant is lacking, especially in two areas: We sat in the booth underneath a high window, which had a black covering that produced a weird optical illusion from our angle. The other issue was that the bright white bulbs in the chandeliers bounced off the painted cinder-block walls in a way that could cause a migraine. Even after our server dimmed the lights for us, I chose to wear my husband's baseball cap to prevent any vision issues. read more

Service at this place is always faultless and welcoming. Food *used* to be good, but suspect there is a new owner or manager who is cutting too many corners. The food has tasted stale, we were served dirty lettuce last time, portion sizes are way down...they even short you paper towels in the bathroom now. Please think about cutting your options rather than your quality! We know prices are skyrocketing. But we can't afford to eat here again until we've heard things have changed. read more

My Hubby & I went out to dinner 11/22/2024, Friday, at 4:30PM. Ambiance: relaxed cool. Service: prompt and friendly. I ordered a virgin drink and the bartender overheard my order with our waitress & suggested a different one. I ordered said cocktail (virgin gin blossom raspberry) & he brought it out personally to me & the cocktail was beautiful as well as tasty! Our appetizer was the corn dog bites with honey mustard sauce. The seasoning was choice, the breading was crunchy, the hot dog was properly warm. Highly recommend. We both ordered the steak sandwich. My Hubby: medium well with regular fries, I ordered mine well done with the potato wedges. Mine: steak beautifully cooked, tomato, onion, lettuce - fresh, bacon was crisp. Potato wedges awesomely seasoned. We both had the delicious fry sauce with our sandwiches. Hubby: same result & the fries were very nicely seasoned. We both would highly recommend this restaurant as a wonderful place to go for a date night for a couple. We will definitely come back again for another meal. read more

My wife and I were looking for a fine restaurant after a hard days drive from Coeur D'Alane. We couldn't be happier than the meal at this restaurant. Our waitress Rachael was simply delightful and the 14 ounce ribeye steak was one of the finest we have had in a long time. It was flame cooked to provide a great crust and was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this place for anyone anywhere near Prosser Washington. read more

Stopped in for a Hamburger and IPA with a friend. Great little restaurant in Prosser. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was very tasty. Loved the Jalapeños on the Western Burger. This place was very accommodating when we showed up before closing. They serve a great old fashioned, hard off to the bartender. The filet was cooked perfectly, seasoned well and was quality. The haricot verts, mashed potatoes and demi glaze was exceptional. The culture was vibrant and positive. I loved seeing the chefs collaborate and talk openly to the customers. Our server, Rylee, was wonderful and attentive. A must try when in Prosser. read more

We were quite disappointed, based on the reviews we expected an elevated dining experience. The drinks were very good. The surf and turf tacos tasted like Mccormick taco seasoning with ground beef and shrimp, not bad but strange. The steaks were good, but at the price and review level, I had a much higher expectation. I didn't like how the steak was positioned on top of the mashed potatoes, made for a more difficult dining experience. I am very judgy when it comes to steaks, and this was really a middle of the road, average steak. Not what I expected. read more

Traveling through for work and stopped at this gem! I ate at a table in the bar area and had the filet mignon with mash taters and asparagus. Service was outstanding and attentive, the filet was cooked perfectly (med-rare) and I couldn't get enough of the mashed taters! If/when I come through again, I WILL be stopping here again! We made a great discovery yesterday. Having been to this business about a decade ago, we thought we'd come back and see if they are still around. Well, they are, but under completely new ownership. Extensive remodeling has happened... added a cocktail lounge and patio and redecorated the dining room extensively. Even though we enjoyed it years ago for a tasty lunch, now it is one of the best dining experiences in recent memory. The chef uses herbs and seasonings very well; the bread for our sandwich was particularly tasty and fresh; and the special appetizer of deep fried asparagus was delicious. Sherman, the new owner, is actively involved, visiting with patrons, and helping to serve guests. We'll be back! read more

I've been lucky enough to have had a lot of great steaks at various sections across the U.S. in my life...many in fact, and I could easily say that the filet I had this evening was the best I've ever had. Thursday dinner for 4. We sat for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. The server was very nice. Steaks we're just ok. They sat on top of our fries which made them too soggy. Don't expect upscale. It's a bar that serves sandwiches and steaks. Not worth the 30 minute drive from Richland. read more

Not our first meal thereby any means. We had been doing a little wine tasting - not much, mainly just picking up some club wines - and decided on an early dinner before driving home to Tri Cities. We decided to give them another try for something different as there is not a huge selection of restaurants in this small town. Unfortunately, it's hit and miss, sometimes pretty good and other times not so much. It's also fairly expensive, so they ought to do a better job of being consistent - and good. Last night was a miss. The calamari appetizer was good, but the portion was small compared to other places. However, our entrees left a whole lot to be desired. My wife had the french dip and I had the cheese steak sandwich. Both were "OK" - ish, but rather underwhelming. They looked and tasted like they had sat under the grill for a bit too long. However, the french fries were very disappointing. How do you screw up french fries in a supposedly best in town steakhouse restaurant? They were kind of limp and soggy, rather firm inside, more like a steamed potato and looked and tasted as if they were reheated leftovers from the day before. It was quite early - only about 4:30pm - so it did make me wonder. They were certainly not fresh by any stretch of the imagination. We even threw out our leftovers that we had planned to munch on for lunch today. I think we are going to give them a permanent miss from now on. This was such a pleasant stop on our way from Denver to Sequim WA. We sat with our dog on the patio. We started with the homemade onion rings. Along with an IPA and red wine. Outstanding. I had the steak dip and my husband had the brisket dip. French fries were awesome. We were warmly greeted. Our server was the best. She was busy but efficient. We parked in a no frills gravel lot right before 7pm on a Friday night and we realized most people appeared to have reservations. Maitre d' said he could however seat us in 10, which was fulfilled and we were seen to a great table with view out front window: colonial home across the street, wood pellet stove outside the full-glass garage-styled door. I have been here a few times and the steak is the best in the valley! The waitresses are very polite and are very knowledgeable about the food and drinks they serve. It has a laid back atmosphere. You can dress up or go causal so it's the perfect place to be anytime. One of the best things for me is that the owner walks around and talks to you, asks you how everything is and is very personable. That's my kind of place. This steak house was a wonderful place for the small town. The beers were freshly tapped and the server was attentive. The wedge salad was the best we've ever had. It was done with wonderful romaine lettuce and had unique toppings! I had the surf and turf tacos which were really good. The servings were good sizes and the shrimp was perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the salmon which was really over cooked. One section was so black and hard that it wasn't edible. The brown butter cake was phenomenal! It's one of the best we have ever tried. Went for Friday's Smoked prime rib. We have been waiting to try this for a few months now. Have reservations and get right in as it wasn't busy at 6. Get to sit in the little hallway, oh the ambiance. We both order the Prime Rib comes out in 5 minutes or so. The plating of mashed potatoes on the bottom then green beans on that topped with the steak is confusing. Can't see the beans and why cover everything up? The prime rib was very fatty and grisly the outer skin was like leather it was not good. It was certainly not worth $55 a plate, with drinks and a good tip, as the service was good ($165 total ). Told the waitress we weren't impressed with the prime rib she didn't seem too concerned. This was our third trip to WS&S two meals before were very good. It's about a 45 minute drive for us so next time we will likely stay closer to home. Not saying every prime rib will be what we had, just that our meal was a disappointment. read more

Our party of 8 received impeccable service on a Friday night and the restaurant was full. The food was absolutely delicious. We all sampled the Brussels sprouts appetizer and raved about it. I enjoyed my Cobb salad with steak. My husband gobbled down his steak frites. Others in our group enjoyed the prime rib. My friend with soy, dairy and gluten allergies was accommodated. They have a good wine selection and well-crafted cocktails. The ambience is lovely with dark colors, big booths, beautiful light fixtures. The ladies restroom was very clean. read more

They were a little short staffed but let us know, which we appreciated. The beverages were well made and I highly recommend their Brussel sprout appetizer. I had the "surf and turf" tacos and while they were really tasty I was disappointed it was two ground beef tacos with one piece of shrimp placed on top of each taco. I would say that's a garnish, not enough to warrant a "Surf" and Turf heading. The two pieces of shrimp were heavenly which is probably why I was so disappointed lol. We'll definitely be back as the food and drink are great for our small town and the staff are friendly. Hubs had their signature burger and it was outstanding.
