What to say here, it's Sterlings. Not the greatest restaurant and far from the worse. The staff is generally on point at this locations and the bar tender usually mixes a great old fashioned. I have been here probably 10 times now and I must say, Sterling's is very consistent, which is to be commended. I have yet to order anything off the menu that wasn't good. Some things are just better than others but, all things aside, no major complaints. I recommend the chicken wings, surprisingly, and a steak with a side and yes, an old fashioned. If no kiddos, I recommend sitting in the bar. read more

Our server Sage was incredible.. Single-handedly made the experience 10/10 for us. On top of that, everything we ate was delicious. I had a steak, my dad had breakfast, brother had lunch, everything was incredible. Make sure if you have a kid who's 12 but looks 13 to bring a birth certificate and ID. They start questioning you and everything, asking how old my kid was, what year he was born. They charged for an adult meal instead of a kids meal. I noticed the server was only nice to the male customers, not the woman. read more

I like both Sterling's, Sterlings on the River and Sterlings on Queensgate. However, I enjoy Sterlings on Queensgate much better. Their food and service is very good, the cooks do a great job. I have a veterans group that has breakfast there every other Thursday. The cook gets out 35-40 breakfasts and the waitresses know what everyone wants from memory. We dined in for breakfast for our visit at sterlings. We were greeted with friendliness and taken to our seat quickly. The menu is large and plentiful. The food came out fast and hot and yummy. Employees seemed to be paying more attention in the new bar area instead of the restaurant. Maybe the owners should stay in the bar business and give up the restaurant. I always want to like Sterlings. The one along the Columbia at least has a fabulous view. The staff was attentive and mostly welcoming. Enjoyed the large booth. The wings were so freaking fowl. There's no words for how gross they were. First off they aren't wings, they were sliced chicken breasts. Flavor was supposed to be garlic Parmesan but in reality it was Italian dressing with mozzarella and it was truly inedible. Flatbread flavor was good but the bread itself was like bread jerky and so so so hard. Was excited for the salad bar but the lettuce was limp and many of the veggies were off. The peas looked more brown than green. I went up once but was charged for all you can eat. Family always suggests Sterlings and each time it's incredibly underwhelming but this time I left starving and feeling queasy. Please don't make me go back. read more

This Sterlings is amazing! We had a large group of people on a Saturday night and we didn't have reservations and they were able to accommodate us without a long wait. I love this place! I went for the first time yesterday (I'm from out of town) and had Wesley as our server and he was absolutely amazing! He seriously didn't forget a single thing, he took his time to explain anything we asked, he brought out plenty of rolls, was so patient with the kids, and our table with so many people. He was so kind, laughed at our dumb jokes, and we really enjoyed him. The food was amazing, we all loved the salad bar there is so many choices. We loved everything we ordered. There is many drink choices as well. We will be in town again soon and will be bringing the rest of the family with us. The food was very tasty and plenty of food and the homemade ranch dressing was my favorite part hand down the best I have had. The service was great our waitress made sure to check on us and brought anything we needed in a promptly manner. My wife and I went to Sterlings in richland for happy hour and decided to have the nachos. I was disappointed to see that they used the canned cheese rather than shredded cheese like cheddar. The taco meat was OK but there was not enough. The chips were good and so was the avocado but that did make up for the cheese and lack of meat. Wish I would have had the salad bar which looked great. I went to Sterling's tonight, 1/30/2024 and ordered the #11 (butchers cut) medium rare with the salad bar and a loaded baked potato. Let me just say the service and salad bar were great. My steak on the other hand was overcooked and dry. I hate to be that guy that sends stiff back but I sent it back. While I was waiting I ate more salad bar and requested that they wrap my steak to go. Well, the second steak came out and it was wrapped up and package to take home. Again the service was great and pretty quick. Once I got back to the hotel room I opened the steak up and checked it and it was overcooked again. The steak was dry, I think it was overcooked because it was very thin and a steak that thin is almost impossible to cook correctly. read more

This last weekend, we had a small funeral for my husband's aunt. we wanted to meet at sterlings for lunch after. They don't take reservations on saturdays-just too busy and difficult to guarantee. However, the hostess was kind enough to check with her manager and they took down my information for 15 people anyway, reiterating that nothing was guaranteed necessarily. I was a little worried--what would i do if they were was no room or an hour wait time when we arrived? I didn't have a plan b! After the funeral, i called when we were on the way over. and not only were our tables ready, but two servers were assigned to us and took the best care of us. thank you so much! read more

I just have to say again how fantastic this place is. The chef knows how to cook. The French toast combo was all cooked to perfection. I substituted hash browns for my eggs and I was not disappointed, the perfect combination of crispy and soft, like my mind was read. French toast was perfect toast and my ham was still so tender and juicy. My waitress was also great with checking in enough to not be absent yet not pushy. Oh and don't forget the cleanliness and speedy service of the busboy. Always someone around to take care of you. i ordered the alaskan eggs Benedict hashbrowns well cooked and the salmon was delicious. my rating is due to the poached eggs being cooked completely well done. What can I say....this place was horrible! We went to the one on Queens Gate Drive and it was terrible, service was mediocre and the food was not edible. In my garlic butter pasta the butter was burned which in turn made my noodles hard, and the cheese was all clumpy. We also ordered the seafood tango which says it's spicy curry sauce, there wasn't even a hint of curry or spice at all. It was bland and the fish had a horrible fishy smell. Oh and to top it off one of the servers kept coming over and leaning his arm over our booth and just standing there looking out into the dining room so it made our dinner very uncomfortable! Needless to say we will never visit this location again! read more

Whatever you do... don't go to the bar! Horrendous service even to the point of insulting. The bartender made me wait at the bar for 20 minutes before even being served a drink while I had every intention of eating dinner here. Only didn't because I wasn't even offered a menu after having one drink. Bartender didn't even know how to make a martini and I overheard his trainer "don't worry about it you might have one of these ordered a year!" Not sure what time they open? Was there at the Quennsgate store at 6am and doors are locked. The web page shows 6:30. My bad, I should've checked. The Parent store is open at 6am. So we drove to the G-way "Parent" store because they are open at 6am. I asked staff as we were getting seated about the opening times and they informed that the Queensway store should've been open at 6am. I will give them 4 stars because of past experiences and there is always room to improve. read more

Sterlings is amazing. I called Riverfront who did not have room for our party but recommended the Queensgate location and they saved us. Our softball group dinner of 40 people was delayed by another restaurant and Sterlings accommodated us right away. Large selection of food choices, staff was awesome and tentative. This is the newest location of the Sterling's empire. And the decor is SO COOL. There is a 1950 Mercury out front with the company name lit up in neon. Inside is ecclectic retro modern....and more. Just a cool, fun looking place! One thing I love about Sterling's is the incredible condiment variety on the table. There are a couple different mustards, three varieties of Tabasco, and a few other goodies. Also, they recognize that kids make messes, so in addition to napkins under your silverware they have a napkin dispenser on the table. Very family savvy. The menu is also full of choices. You really have to be picky to NOT like SOMETHING they serve. I have run through their menu and have enjoyed just about everything. I will say their ham seems a bit salty, but that isn't a big deal. Stopped by Sterlings for a quick choice of restaurant while visiting in town. Seemingly similar to a Ruby's or run down older restaurant. Salad bar was mediocre at best. Out of lettuce, and a few other items, soups were ok. Overall not updated, not super clean, but ok. Server was pleasant and did a good job. Checking out was a very grumpy, rude older man who had a name tag with manager listed. I was feeling ok about eating there, but as I checked out and paid, he rudely repeated to me, debit or credit. He then repeated himself rudely and continued to be short and rude. After that experience, I would never go back again. I and my fiancé chose to leave and just wrote a review, we didn't engage as it wouldn't have been worth it. Don't waste your time. read more
