    Brisket Mac n cheese

My grilled chicken pita was perfectly executed. I never imagined doing a post about the most perfect pierogies, but here we are. They were not overly hard like so many serve them & still easy to pick up and dip with some sour cream. Our server was super friendly and mentioned what great selections we had made. It's always busy here and with good reason. The food has never disappointed and we only wish we had room for something yummy from the bakery. My husband enjoyed his brisket over Mac n cheese. He's a little obsessed with orange cheese from years of Kraft products (before me), but he commented that there was tons of meat.

I stopped in to pick up a slice of cheesecake for my girlfriend. To think with the cost, it would be a nice piece but I watched as the old man cutting it dropped a chunk off and just got rid of it. Needless to say, I was not happy with the size. I know I've gotten better portions here before I just hope next time will be better.

I had the chorizo breakfast and I was so pleased with my order. The chorizo breakfast platter is just something you should try if you haven't already. If their breakfast is that good I can't wait to come here again and try something from their lunch and dinner menu. I also had a French Onion Soup with was also so good. I loved it. Not the best I ever had but definitely up there. I will return.

This place was recommended by a local and it did not disappoint. We arrived around 10 for breakfast. He had eggs Benedict (traditional) but they had several variations to choose from. I had a gouda and bacon omelet... both were delicious. Server was very professional and polite. The place was clean. We could not resist a slice of cake.... the display is visible as you walk in. It was hard to decide but we went with oreo cheesecake.... couldn't even finish it all! The prices were very, very reasonable. We would definitely go back.

The food was fantastic! Service was excellent and the price was amazing! The cheese cake was out of this world! Will definitely come back again if we are in the area!

    Bourbon Glazed Salmon

Excellent food! Ate Bourbon glazed Salmon over rice. Perfectly cooked the last two times I ordered this. Literally melts in your mouth. My son had pancakes, excellent! I took a star off for two reasons, and it's happened in the past and happened today: 1. When they brought our food, they didn't have syrup for my sons pancakes, no big deal, but when I asked politely the person seemed annoyed and said, "I'll let your server know". I've worked in restaurants, I would have helped out my fellow woker and grabbed it. By the time our server came back with it, about five minutes went by. 2. Coffee refills, or lack there of. This is a crowd pleaser for people who like coffee and easy to do. Having someone walk around with a coffee pot is not hard . We were not offered until server came back toward end of our meal and asked us if we wanted more. Again, not the first time. It may sound picky, but I wasn't comfortable with the approaches.

Ok. You are in Whitehall, right? Place is called Whitehall Diner. Duh, just go there. Even if parking lot is full, service is quick. They said 15 min wait, less then 5 min had us seated. I suggest you ask for Jackie's section. She is good at customer service!

We weren't quite sure about the ordering at the register process. The menu offerings are on a chalkboard behind the register and the waitress was patient with us as we looked over everything. I ordered pancakes with bacon and coffee. The pancakes were just what you'd want when you think of pancakes. Good size, fluffy, and tasty. The three strips of bacon were cooked right, slightly crispy with a little chewy bite. The coffee was hot and kept hot with a frequent topper. Trolley Barn is exactly what you'd expect from a neighborhood place, everyone seemed to be regulars, and the decorating is very much a taste of a bygone era in a good way. Not really a diner, but definitely a casual place to get some good food. Staff was friendly, and my husband and I have definitely added Trolley Barn to our list of good places to get breakfast.

The scrambled eggs were uniquely flat but good. The bacon was thin, but it was delicious (and they gave more than two pieces, so it was plenty). The home fries were pretty standard. Italian toast was well toasted and buttered. I found it odd that they gave ketchup packets instead of a bottle, but this is a Greek owned restaurant, and maybe ketchup isn't prevalent in Greek culture. My son got Greek eggs Benedict, which had Gyro meat. I tasted a bit of the meat, and it was awesome. Definitely something to consider on a future visit or maybe for lunch. Not huge inside, so large parties could be tricky. There were five of us, and it looked like only one table could accommodate a larger party, but it was available with no wait. There was only one server, so I was worried that the service would be slow, but she did a great job. The restaurant was only around half full at the time. I saw comments in other reviews about the waitress being rude. I'm not sure if ours was the same person, She had a very monotone voice and direct demeanor (probably partially due to being the only server and trying to be as efficient as possible) and I can understand how some people might perceive this as rude. We had zero problem with her. She was very nice and attentive, and she offered a bit of small talk as I was paying at the register.

It's cooked so nicely and it's enjoyable to eat, especially the hash browns and home fries. For how their food is cooked, you know it's more "clean" than greasy. We ordered: Spinach, feta, and tomato omelette with home fries Veggie omelette with hash browns Both are a chef's kiss. We were looking for a nice local place for Father's Day breakfast and wanted to keep it simple,…read morelow-key and not too expensive. Hadn't been here in a minute and thought of this place right across from Brentwood Towne Center. They get pretty busy on weekends and it's clear they have a lot of regulars, which always speaks well of a place. We happened to hit it at just the right time before it got too crowded. JT's name remains on the place but it now seems to be run by Sam whose name is added on the menus and inside. We had a funny experience when parking on the street as I was checking the app to see if payment was required on Sundays, and Sam happened to be outside and called over to us to make sure not to pay today. It set just the right start to this homey family diner experience. The space inside is modest and feels like you are eating at a family member's home, complete with kitschy little framed sayings on the walls. There is a television on and patrons chat with the staff and one another. There are maybe 10 tables of varying sizes and a counter, and today we had one server working hard to take care of everyone, the owner and a couple of cooks in the back. The menu is two pages, almost entirely breakfast items such as egg combination dishes, omelettes, French toast and pancakes. There are a few specials posted each day. You might think that a breakfast item is a breakfast item, but they really do it well here. First is a focus on high-quality ingredients from local providers like Weiss Meats and Mancini's Bread. There are creative items like my veggie jumbot, which was sort of an egg scramble including mushrooms, green peppers, onions and cheese, and it was delicious. Their potato pancakes remind me of the most I've had of a friend's who used to make authentic Eastern European ones. You can substitute one of these for your potato side and I highly recommend doing so. Even my companion's relatively simple breakfast of eggs, bacon and potato pancake was a huge hit for being perfectly prepared, because "no one ever flips the over-easy eggs just right." This is an under-the-radar spot, but locals know about it, and you should too.
