OMG! I loved this place so hard! Thier biscuits are absolutely perfect! I had a bacon, egg & cheese and my partner had it with sausage and a latke to shair. Everything was delicious. Since we went they closed and have redone their menu to include dinner and hopefully they will be bringing their breakfast back because I was only able to make it there once before they closed and need another one of their biscuits in my life, lol.

Latke Hot Chicken

Wow. The best latke I've ever had. Truly a must try. Small breakfast spot and there was a constant line out the door so get there early. Staff is super attentive and kind, all while managing a lot of people in the small space. The hot chicken was tasty but not as spicy as excepted. Chicken was juicy and the biscuit was perfectly cooked. Not dry at all!

Always a big fan of OH since they first opened a few years ago. Use to love some of the sandwiches and the breakfast. Nice to see them move on and use their wonderful skills on a wonderful dining experience. The lights are low and a same light on each table. Only 7 tables, I think, so get a reservation. Or you can try to walk in and maybe able to get a set at the coffee bar. Service was really good. The two waiters both served us and they seemed to communicate really well and did not miss a beat. There are 4 starters and 4 mains, some teas, coffee and 4 hand-crafted mocktails. Or you can BYOB for $10. Seemed to be about half and half when we were there. We started with the Beets which had some marinated olives, walnuts, orange and gribiche. A wonderfully tasty start to our meal. We shared the mains of Ribs and Lamb Chops. The ribs had some very nice undertone of heat from the gochujang rub and were very soft and a big hit. The Lamb Chops were cooked perfectly and were good but not quit as tender as I would expect. The Lamb chops came with some mint chutney and a tasty jelly and Brussel sprouts.

Great breakfast/brunch place in the Dormont area! Their biscuits do not disappoint and the beet side is really good too, highly recommend. The cured salmon dish comes with the latke and some apple cold slaw. They taste really good, savory and flavorful. if I'm being really picky - maybe the amount of salmon is quite small, but I'm okay with it! The place is smaller than I imagined, and busier than I thought for a weekday - maybe it's just the holiday week. Coffee is De Fer and Reginald's, both of great quality! Overall highly recommend for a quick breakfast/brunch for solo eating or small group gathering.

Service is impeccable, the little details like staff handing out menus to customers waiting in line to order and repeating your order back to you makes things efficient and accurate. For take out orders on weekends, calling ahead is recommended. I've had both breakfast and lunch dishes, today's take out order was a traditional biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was fluffy and fresh while the sausage gravy had the perfect flavors. With a winning combination of fabulous service and food, you can't go wrong at Oak Hill Post.

After an hour-ish wait, my friends and I had a very tasty breakfast on a Sunday morning at Oak Hill Post! The restaurant is quite small, and the line seemed almost interminable. Seating is done after you order at the counter, and take out orders take even longer when done in the restaurant. The line snaked through the restaurant, making the waiting experience unpleasant for the people eating and the people waiting--not to mention the people serving who had to continuously cut through the line. Once our food was ready, we were very happy! We loved the delectable mashed browns, the savory pulled pork toast, and the great sausage gravy on what could have been a slightly softer biscuit. The drinks were delicious too! Next time I come here, I'll probably wait until a less peak hour. But I would certainly come back!

Finally stopped here for breakfast after hearing positive things from several people. The hype was definitely not misplaced, this breakfast/lunch establishment is a true gem. I ordered the breakfast smash which is basically a breakfast burger on a fresh biscuit. It was so tasty and it might now be my favorite breakfast sandwich in Pittsburgh. I ordered to go, and the food was just being finished when I walked in at the scheduled time. I appreciate the accuracy of the pickup time estimate so I wasn't time waiting for them to finish and the food was getting cold waiting for me to pick it up. Kudos to the crew here for getting that spot on. The staff were all super friendly and I'm sure it would be a good experience eating in as well. The atmosphere is chic and modern, perfectly complementing the menu. Most of the table were full on a weekend morning when I stopped in and people were having fun and enjoying their food. Good vibes overall.

You can really tell that they put their heart and soul into supper. Every dish was so flavorful, tasty, and interesting. The ambiance is romantic and warm, a great place for a date night or somewhere to catch up with old friends. We will be back!

I was raised in Brookline and never tried this amazing place even though I see it all the time when I'm driving down Brookline Boulevard. I'm mad at myself for never stopping before this. We went because they had East End Brewing launching their Brookline neighborhood IPA. There was a little bit of a line, which we didn't mind. The food, the atmosphere and brunch was fantastic. The flavors of the food were delicious and the French press coffee was great.

This place is the bomb! Every item on the menu is so thoughtfully curated and delicious. Don't expect to get seated when you walk in, you definitely need to order at the counter and then they place you at a table. You can't save tables ahead of ordering so expect to wait in line for a while during busy times. The staff is super friendly, they intervened when someone came in the restaurant and tried to grab our table as we were up next and ordering food. I had the traditional southern breakfast. I'm from the south, and the biscuit and gravy was nearly the best I've ever had. The space is small, so go early to grab a good spot.

I am in love with this charming neighborhood lunchette with elevated favors. I told my brunch crew this would be my model if I ever open a brunch place of my own. The attention to every detail in addition to the food is impressive to this discerning eye. From the ordering and seating process, to elegance in the simplicity of the small menu justifies the cost. They requested everyone in our party be present before ordering. Then the member of staff taking orders was enchantingly descriptive of all the items they create in-house making choosing what to order a wonderful challenge to face. As they don't take reservations, we lucked out with our timing being just right to be able to take our time ordering with no one waiting behind us in line and be seated right after. The staff checked on us many times during our meal. If I lived closer to Brookline, I would eat here all the time!

Can't get enough of this place! The food is always excellent. I tried the classic biscuit sandwich with sausage and it exceeded my expectations. The biscuits are so dang good and the sausage is delicious. There's always a line so come early! Luckily the wait was about 30 mins when we arrived around 11:30am and ate our meal in 20 minutes. We were in and out within the hour!

We've been meaning to try this place for forever and wow totally worth the wait! Everything was perfectly made. I wasn't expecting to love my pork belly sammy as much as I did. It I ate every single bit of it with no apologies- it was absolutely delicious! The bit of peanut butter sounded weird in the description but it was amazing and took it over the top. And their biscuits are no joke! Can't wait to try more

Patrons and staff have reported seeing the ghostly figure in a white gown. There has been other reported activity in the building, such as flickering lights, the smell of cigarette smoke (non-smoking building) and unexplained footsteps. Our group was there later in the evening and the only patrons seated on the upper level near the fireplace. We heard unexplained footsteps as no one else was upstairs or in the room with us. It did not scare us away, we knew the history. We did stay to enjoy the craft cocktails and mocktails. The menu included gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan fare which worked for everyone's needs in our group. Everything was delicious! *****The staff is exceptional!!***** They were attentive, knowledgeable and familiar with the history of the building. We will definitely be visiting the Shiloh Gastro again.

Went here on a recent trip to Pittsburgh. It was a pretty tough experience…read more Started with our server seating us and then explaining that they were out of a few things. Normally I'd say this isn't a big deal: two entrees and an appetizers. It happens. But the list continued to grow throughout the night (read on intrepid Yelper!). She left to grab some waters and came back about 15 minutes later. And then dashed off again. Finally put our orders in (was told then they were also out of some sodas and another appetizer, again it happens... but to this degree?) and waited for our drinks and food. And waited and waited and waited. Got our drinks 45 minutes after we sat down; importantly the place was not busy. During that time we were revisited once to be told they were out of another entree that some people had ordered. So some orders had to change. Appetizers took a full hour to show up. Entrees took another 30 minutes. Asked for some condiments - "we don't have that." Look, I get it restaurants have days when people call in or don't show up. Restaurants run out of stuff. But this was excessive. We were rarely checked on even to be given an ongoing apology just to let us know "hey I know this sucks, I recognize it and I'm sorry." We ran out of water (they bring a big bottle and you're on your own to refill it, and once that ran out we were just out of luck). If the food or drinks were really exceptional then some of this gets washed away. Unfortunately the food was just standard bar fare. It wasn't special. It was epically "serviceable." I do not recommend going. You're going to be far better off just taking the trolley back down and going somewhere else.

Steaks and seafood are the standouts; well-sourced, cooked right, and presented without unnecessary gimmicks. The menu shows discipline, which I respect. Service is where they really separate themselves. Shawn Michael and Jo are exceptional. They are attentive, polished, and genuinely elevate the experience. This is professional hospitality, not just order-taking. Ambience is upscale and energetic. It can get a bit loud during peak hours, but it fits the vibe and doesn't take away from the experience. At this price point, you expect a lot and Eleven delivers. Between the quality of the food and the level of service, it's absolutely worth it. Bottom line: If you want a high-end dinner in Pittsburgh that actually lives up to the bill, Eleven is a go-to.

We dined on the second floor, which was really cool because you overlook the main floor as well as have a decent view of the city-I'm nosey so that was ideal. We did the oysters and the meatballs. For dessert, we had the candy bar and the sticky toffee pudding. I feel like I have seen such an uptick in sticky toffee puddings recently. This one was really good, I enjoyed both.
