I haven't been here in a very long time so I'm excited to see how the restaurant has stayed in business over the years. We are shown to our table upstairs. The bar area on a Friday night looks fun and active. There's great views of Port Jefferson harbor so the restaurant ambiance is nice. We're seated and are given restaurant week menus as well as the wine/cocktail list. Listen, It's Friday nite and I don't want a wine cooler! Give to me a standard Martini stirred (Shaken is just dumb) with stuffed blue cheese olives. The ladies order appletini's and we're ready to order off the restaurant week menu. The menu has a nice selection of different offerings, I'm into all things local so I'm going to start with the beet salad and Red Snapper. The beet salad was loaded with beets! I love beets, they did a good job with this started dish. I must point out, the dish must have been prepped earlier in the day. The green salad was slighty wilted when served to me. The Red Snapper, what is that sauce on top? And the fish was sitting on a bunch of zoodles?? The fish wasn't seasoned, it wasn't very flavorful. I'm eating around the zoodles, meh. From what we could see, they carry Fox bikes, which is a very high end, off road, cycle. I'm a 'bike path' sort of gal and an 8k+ cycle is way out of my price bracket. They had others for less, but all were very high end. We walked in on the 'repair' side of the shop (two doors from the sidewalk into the building) and the staff member there directed us over to the sales floor. He was the most pleasant part of our visit. I saw one staff member in the sales area who remained behind the register during our entire visit and I think there was one other staff member assisting a customer with gear. There were several customers milling around without being assisted. We exited through the sales area door and the staff member behind the register there asked if they could help but our reconnaissance pretty much told us what we needed to know. There may have been more options we didn't see, but as it was busy and the floor models all have price tags, I think we got the gist. Still, it would have been nice to have an offer of assistance before we were leaving. I wonder if the other customers there feel the same way.

came to the store a couple times before my bday to ask for a "custom"--converting one of their…read morestock bikes into a hybrid. came after my bday and put a deposit on a bike and for them to be able to get the motor/parts for the work. had the work delayed until probably another month, picked it up and it doesn't work so about a week later I came to ask for a refund. they claim "no refunds" which I didn't know and wouldn't have bought the bike if I didn't know. they knew it was a sham so they offered to possibly find a buyer. waited from late April to August (probably their busiest season) just to get a call (and I made sure to call every so often for updates "no there are no buyer but I should get one by next week", "no right now it's slow", to even "no can't sell the bike because of the scratches from the motor being mounted no one wants to buy it".... are you serious...?) but it's always easy to put the blame on some invisible higher up "manager" that's never in the store. so I finally took the bike and asked for a recipt for my records. bike originally tagged and I paid $600 for it plus $400 for the bogus conversion "custom". But the receipt has it for way less so they'll pull your leg for more when they can, especially if it's cash (which I always thought if you pay cash should be cheaper...). Don't make the same mistake and just skip this shop.

The service department is excellent-- employees are incredibly attentive and actually take the time to listen to your concerns. Their pricing is very competitive. . They've earned my trust over the years, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have a very large store with a selection of traditional bicycles and accessories. Needed two batteries for our Sun E350 Trikes. They had been out of stock for 6-8 months and hard…read moreto find. I contacted Sun and they said they were getting them in early 2026. I finally found out they were some available in February 2026, but I had to go thru a Sun Retailer. I contacted local Charlotte shops, and none were of much help or didn't respond. So, I started reaching out to out of state shops. Max of Brands Cycel and Fitness was the first to reach out and told me what I needed to do and get me a quote. I got serial numbers of out trikes and paid. The batteries were shipped to Brand and then to me and within 10 days I had new batteries and we could use our trikes. I wanted to give a shout out to Max for his help and walking me thru the process. Thank You!!
