I am a shoe gal, so it's rare for me to find a staff member who teaches me about options and shows me products that I would never have tried without their help. Petey in athletic shoes explained that I needed a stability shoe and chose a pair of Brooks. I haven't worn Brooks in over 20 years, having been hooked on Hoka, but these were what I needed. Excellent customer service! I was shopping there yesterday (4/3/23) for youth baseball equipment, which I know NOTHING about. Manager Dana was the first to help me locate some items. I continued shopping and perusing the necessary items that I was able to find... until I couldn't find anymore. Matt, an associate, took the time to help me locate the remaining items that I needed. There were some that he ended up having to go to the back stockroom to retrieve (he ended up going to the back 2-3 times, God bless him!). I ended up being in the store for over an hour and a half, but the experience was pleasant and well worth it. Ronan my cashier helped me close out my order with speed and efficiency. The store manager Sarah-- you have a great staff! Dana, Matt & Ronan-- you guys rock. Thank you all so much for an awesome experience and for the great customer service. Never had a bad experience here! I most recently came from the pet store with my dog and called to ask if they are "pet friendly", and yes, they do welcome leashed pets. I stopped in and the staff were friendly and were petting my pup. I do notice that other shoppers always look at me strange and act like they never seen a dog before... lighten up people, I will never understand it. My dog doesn't growl, bark and is totally mellow in the store. So I don't know why they are so uptight. Some counties are way more "pet friendly" than the USA. I know I am always excited to see a pup out anywhere and will always crouch down to pet the dog. read more

I don't know why there is a 1 star review on this Dick's. I called to have them put football cleats aside (not even football season) and the guy on the phone was super friendly and didn't seem to lose patience when I asked him to go back and get a different size just in case. I noticed the horrible review someone left in 2016 before I went into this Dick's so I was extra observant. I didn't have a bad experience with customer service like he did, in fact I was spoken to kindly and at one point asked if I needed help. So although I did find what I was looking for, I do think their merchandise was a little thin. Considering the size of the store, I feel they could stand to stock more. I also thought the shoe department could have been arranged better and have more stock, I only saw 4 or 5 pairs of Nike's in my size, and I'm a popular size. Overall, don't see a reason to avoid the store, but I do think they could use some help from their corporate with inventory and store layout. read more

Mediocre service. I went there with my son to buy a bike for son. Three sales persons were standing around, one scolding my son for testing a bike. When we asked for the right size, none of the three guys had any idea. They told us that they were not selling bikes at this hour. They had only one sales associate who new about bikes, and he had already gone home. So, you better call beforehand to make an appointment! read more

Just went in looking for a pool cue. Was in there looking around in every department with no luck finding any. Hardly anyone in there and still not a single employee asked if I needed assistance, and I had to track down one. I finally get an employees attention and asked politely where I might find the pool cue. She got on the walkie talkie and asked another employee. She said there was one left, maybe, and she said they would be in "the middle of team sports" which isn't exactly labeled. I proceeded to looking by myself and the employees already forgot about me. This is a new store and it appears all employees have forgotten about customer service training. Needless to say I'll go to bass pro or sport authority since prices seem to be the same. Still couldn't find the pool cue. read more
