On a Saturday morning the store was very busy, but I had excellent service and an expert fitting. I've been pond skating for more than 50 years and this skate shop has always been my go- to place. I don't mind spending when I find what I want and get good service.

Although the prices for the gear are the same as all other hockey/goalie stores, they do have a very wide selection and also some used gear if you're looking to buy discounted equipment for a lot less and don't mind if it's been used a little.

He cut us a break on the price since we ended up buying 3 pair of skates. Definitely above and beyond; extremely friendly and generally seemed happy to have us there as customers. The skates were already sharpened and we were in and out of there in less than 20 minutes. They have a large collection of used skates, both figure skate and hockey skates. Also, gobs of used hockey equipment. We had called the day before to make sure they had skates in the right size and Michael was really helpful too.

I went in expecting to drop a couple hundred dollars on new skates for my daughter just getting into skating, but they immediately got her into a used pair for a fraction of the price. Hadn't even considered that as a possibility. Certainly not looking to over-sell me. Also, I always get my skates sharpened there and they have been able to make small repairs and replace rivets on the spot. Can't beat the integrity of this place.

He is very knowledgeable and thorough when it comes to skate fitting. I really appreciated David's explanation of all the steps of getting the perfect fit for my boot. Between the heat molding, punching, and modifications he made to my skates, it really was so worth it. (Just be prepared to be in the shop for a good chunk of time!) Today I skated for the first time with the new boots and blades and the sharpening was absolutely perfect, I have never glided like I did today. Otherwise the staff handles everything well. It did take a while as there was a lot to talk about, so budget some time. They do custom orthotics and can order equipment for hockey and figure skating if it's not in stock.
