Though it doesn't have the bright lights and spaciousness of other spots, it does provide a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere with no pressure to purchase. They really took the time to talk to me about what firearm I was looking for and which one would be suitable for my needs. After seeing several pistols I ended up purchasing a 1911 (for serious I was there for over an hour -- BEFORE the paperwork). I've compared prices between Bethany and Greyson's and it seems that Bethany usually has a better price point. Right now I'm looking for my second pistol (a 9mm) and will be returning to Bethany for my second purchase. FYI bring cash or personal check and avoid any additional fees -- it'll just be the quoted price plus tax!

Place was being run and manned by a bunch of young guys who really had no clue about how to work with customers. They had the Handgun that I was interested in but the kid had to text the owner for the price! He had the computer right there! Anyway, after going back and fourth with the owner on text, the kid finally looked it up and informed me that it was sold!!! I stood around that place for FOURTY MINUTES all for him to tell me it was sold!!! They don't have good customer service and I'm never going there again. I will also give them terrible references when my buddies are looking for somewhere to buy firearms.

My first interaction with this business was to do an FFL transfer of a shotgun I ordered…read more I was in and out in maybe 20min (it was rather busy that day, and FFL transfers in CT typically take that long anyway because the DESPP takes ages to answer a call), so this was a bit quicker than normal). I maintained email correspondence with the owner Tom, and the individual that sold and shipped the firearm. Tom was extremely polite and thorough with his responses, and though I hadn't met him during in person during this interaction, I knew I'd be back. I got a good deal on some gun parts that had to be shipped to an FFL, and I emailed Tom with a quick question to be sure about something. I got a response back within the hour and my question was answered with the same precision and professionalism from before. This time, I actually got to meet him in person and while he may seem like a giant mean person (I get the same from people) he truly is gentle and polite in person too! AND HE REMEMBERED ME FROM MONTHS PRIOR for the transfer! THAT, alone, is a HUGE thing for me. We chatted, laughed, while he managed multiple things at once. Eventually, I finished the sale with his wife as he had to tend to some other things with other customers and I was on my merry way. I absolutely recommend Tom's Firearms for your firearms and fishing needs! Yes, fishing! There's an entire section in the store for fishing supplies (bait & tackle).
