Dick's Sporting Goods is probably my favorite clothing store that I've ever been to! The other day, I needed some more fall clothes because I only had sweatshirts, but barely any long-sleeved shirts. So I went to Dick's Sporting Goods. Man, they have such a good selection! I wish I could go there everyday! They had the exact style of clothes that I love and was looking for. The only thing is that man, Nike, Under Armour, and Adidas is expensive! I got Adidas black pants there, which costed about $40.00, as the subtotal! But besides that, I would definitely recommend for people to come here. I ordered a pair of ice skates for my daughter online and picked up in the store the next day. When I got home to try the skates on her, there were 2 different size skates in the box. I called and after being transferred about 6 times, I spoke to a gentleman named Chris who couldn't have been more apologetic. He had the skates delivered from another store the next day. When my husband went to pick them up, they were the wrong skates. In the end, what was a disappointing experience, the store manager Chris made sure all was taken care of. Terrible! Do not come to this Dicks for sneakers. I came on a Friday and it was empty, I wondered why for about 20minutes and then I figured it out, the merchandise was low and the service is awful. Again this is my experience while shopping for sneakers and not garments or equipment. I asked the sales associate for 4 different sneakers, they did not have my size in any of them (mind you I am not a hard size to find.) On about my 6th attempt to ask for sneakers in my size, I found ones I liked, I asked if he could take the sensor off the laces so I can see how they would feel and he said No. They are not allowed. Every other Dick's would take it off wait for you to try it on then they will put the sensor back on the shoe. Lets not skip over the fact that with two people asking for help it took about 10minutes for the sales associate to get back to you after every time. Very aggravating shopping experience. read more

An employee in the golf department named Jack helped my boyfriend immensely after he purchased a driver that ended up breaking within a month. He seamlessly resolved the issue and contacted the company directly to have a replacement sent. My boyfriend ended up driving back to the same store (even though we live quite far) just to return to Jack's department to buy more clubs. Jack provided him with tips on his golf swing as well. So I made a purchase at this store because it was the only one that had the product in stock. It's a 45 min drive for me to get to this store. I get home and the item is all banged up and messed up. I call and talk to the manager and she said to just bring it back and they would return or exchange it. I go back and meet with Cyrus the manager. Just left the store. I purchased a trolling motor a few weeks ago and finally got to use it yesterday. Of coarse it wasn't working properly. I went back to the store and was asked immediately after walking through the door if I needed any help. I told the gentleman my situation and he helped me out. Went into Dicks today to buy a home protection gun for my wife. A lot of crazy people in this world lately. This is the most poorly run store I have ever seen. The manager Jay is extremely incompetent and should not be manager let alone even working in the store. Waited for a good 45 minutes and when we were next online the guy helping us walked away to help someone else. When we spoke to Jay he had the worst attitude and we wound up walking out of the store and not making the $500 purchase. Although I did not have a problem with this store, I do however have a problem with Dick's Sporting Goods in general. I placed an order on line, upon placing order, the website glitched, it cleared my info and emptied my cart. I redid order and then received 2 emails regarding my order. I canceled the first order 60 seconds after it was placed(at 11:30 pm) and hit the cancel request button on website and entered order number. My card was obviously charged twice. Long story short, online chat was useless, live customer service was useless. They are very scripted with their responses. Not helpful....AT ALL!!!! Headquarters website is a front, and so is "customer service" They want you to feel you are being heard and you definitely are not!!! read more

Honestly some of the laziest customer service Ive experienced. If you hate your job so much, you should quit. Or be fired (ahem management). Tracy - my cashier - was yawning in my face, made zero eye contact, and when some more people stepped in line proceeds to say "God, it never ends!" The store wasn't even that busy. I would never come back and it's a shame that I'm sure a manager would never read this and the service will continue to go down hill. Even when I arrived and I had to seek someone to help me, this guy (who seemed totally lost himself...) directed me to where I needed to go verbally. It's pains me to write this. I am normally very happy with the service I receive at DSG. I don't know why it was so hard to get shoes for my kids. They pick out soccer cleats, salesperson (if you can call him that) scans the barcode "sorry we don't have those in 2.5." I turn around to have the girls pick out a different style, seconds later he's gone. We're left on the shoe area with 2 other customers and 1 associate. I had to interrupt another customer and the employee to get the children they have working there to come out of the stock room and help. I only knew they were back there because I could hear them laughing having a great time, meanwhile I'm stuck looking at a bunch of left shoes wondering when I'll get a complete pair for my kids to try on. I only go here because it's closer to my house. I'll save my DSG needs for the Garden City store. These types of employees are probably the same ones that want a $15 minimum wage and free college. I bought Footjoy golf shoes here in May, it is now July and the shoes are giving terrible blisters. They only stand behind the shoes for 60 days. Very matter of fact. Don't care to help the customers at all. On one hand they have a rewards program to try to encourage loyalty, but by not standing behind what they sell why would I stay as a loyal customers. Went into the store 5 days before Christmas to purchase a 24 inch BMX boys bike. I had to wait 32 minutes for help even after asking 4 different people to send someone for help in the bike section. The only guy working the bike section was doing carry outs while 10 other employees were standing around doing nothing. This place has the potential of being 5 stars. It's a large store, fairly clean and nicely laid out. I'm giving it 3 stars because A LOT of items do not have price tags. I had to access their website to search for the price of a few items on my most recent visit. A man with his son asked an associate for a price on an item as I was researching a price for something I took off the shelf. I also noticed a lot of empty racks and they didn't have an item that the website said they had. I am shocked at the bad reviews I'm seeing here. This is the BEST Dick's I've ever been to! They recently renovated and expanded.. I could spend half the day in here and still walk out feeling like I missed something. They have absolutely everything! My son's wardrobe is 90% Dick's and with the expanding clearance section, I'm paying less than ever, loving it! There's always plenty of employees walking around to assist you. If I had to give one complaint, it would be their hockey section. They reduced the section to make more room for team sports apparel.. my son will have to deal with it lol read more

What that means is leaning on a display looking on while a woman sat there talking to her daughter and using her phone. Someone needs to tell him you don't need to sit there and watch.
