So I went to this store recently for the first time in a long time. We stopped going because it just seemed they never had anything in stock. We decided to go back just to see what was there and for a change, there was nothing in stock for my daughter. They said it was because it was close to the end of vacation but what store has no shoes in stock? Then my son, who is special needs, was having a slightly off day. The owner seemed annoyed and couldn't deal with it. He made many weird comments and tried to convince me to get Velcro even though my son is 9 and trying to learn to tie his shoes. My son wanted "cool" shoes not baby shoes with Velcro and there was only 2 pairs with Velcro and the owner kept making me feel awful for wanting to get my son the sneakers he wanted. Then he was commenting about my son's socks being too big for him. Yes, they are a size 3-6, as socks run like that. The smaller ones were too small and these are slightly big. They also have to be for my son to be able to put them on himself since it's hard for him to put on his socks himself. It just seemed like he was annoyed and felt like he was doing us a favor by even bothering to try the shoes on my son. I didn't want to buy the shoes there but my son got pretty stuck on two pairs and I want him to be happy. In the car later, my son said he felt bad because the mean man at the store kept saying he can't tie his shoes and made him feel like a baby. Bad customer service, doesn't know how to deal with special needs kids, which I know my son is not the only one, and too expensive. After we went to sketchers for my daughter and the same sneakers were half the price. Never again! I know it is an expensive neighborhood that they are located in and maybe he made so much money over spring break that he didn't need our business. At least that's how it seemed! Who just says, "oh we have nothing left since break is over!" He didn't even offer to order the sneakers when I said maybe I would order them online! Don't you want to keep our business? Trust me, stay away from this place! read more
