Variety of accessories helpful when needed and they also sell gift cards. For DSW members, every purchase counts towards rewards including donating new or slight worn shoes. I was here on a Sunday late afternoon. The selection is minimal especially for women's sneakers. Store is messy and has a confusing and terrible layout. They made the store smaller. I noticed a difference in the organization in the store. Messy when you walk in and does not give the good customer impression. I was very disappointed! read more

I found myself needing a new pair of shoes and I love the DSW chain . I had been a regular at the Riverhead store, but after we sold our condo in Baiting Hollow we aren't in that area much. I'm partial to Italian shoes and they have a pretty good selection. I go on line and find a couple of pairs that I like. You can buy them on line but that's not for me. I want to feel that Italian leather gently molesting my feet before buying, and when I can get $345 shoes for $149, I'm in. The only store that has them in stock is this Syosett store so we are on the way. About 20 miles but that's OK when it comes to getting the shoes I want. So I pick out two pairs, and try them on. I can feel them making love to my feet. I don't even want to take them off for the check out and trip home but there's a slight problem with one pair, a slight blemish on the upper stitching, but I want these shoes. OK so I'm checking out and explain to the young lady the situation with the blemish. She offers to order a new pair that can be there in a few days. Hmmm, now I go to work. It turns out her name tag tells me her name is Amanda. So I start telling her what a pretty name that is, in fact my youngest daughter is Amanda too. Now I lay it on heavy. Amanda, I say, do you know that your name means "worthy to be loved"? She immediately gives me a 10% discount. My work here is done. I'm out the door and on my way home. This is a great location on Jericho Turnpike, about a mile west of Route 135, so you can get there pretty easily. Bonus is a Chinese/Japanese Restaurant in the same shopping center, and a Panera Bread next door with a walk through the fence around the parking lot. Yes I recommend this store and I will be back. I've always been so impressed with how DSW Designer Shoes keeps its floor so organized. This particular location is extremely large and very clean. The music was set to fit the attitude of the clientele, casual and sophisticated. They also have high ceilings so you feel you can breath while you shop with great visuals of the building. I feel about 80 percent of the store seem to be woman shoes which is fine and the one corner plus some clearance shelves are men's. I was happy to see the unique variety of men's shoes and the plus for me is they have my size. I've been to a few were they told me they could order them or send me to another location. I would recommend coming here, in the future when I need shoes I will definitely come back. When style and comfortable work together at any store, then the rewards are endless. read more

Large clean DSW shoe store. Lots of styles for men, women, and children, plus clearance options and socks/hosiery. Only downside is that it's on a large busy street, at a point without a light or stop sign, so it can be tricky to pull into and out of the parking lot safely. read more

I went to the store today looking for dressy, navy colored shoes. I found the perfect pair on the clearance rack. As there was no price on them, I brought them to the counter for a price check. While waiting on the line, I realized that the shoes clearly had been previously worn. The soles were all scuffed and the heels were worn. I showed this to the clerk who agreed with my findings and said that the return should not have been allowed. Based on that I thought I'd be offered a good incentive to buy the shoes. However he only offered 15% off the $69.99 price. His only thought was to call other stores to get me a new pair. I asked again if he could do any better on the price and he shook his head, "No," and put the shoes on the shelf behind him. I then informed him that I no longer wanted the $90 shoes I also intended to purchase and I left the store...never to return. read more

Last month I bought a pair of knee-high black suede boots here. I went to wear them this weekend & I realized I took home 2 different boots. I don't know how I didn't notice this sooner but anyhow, the managers at DSW could not have been more accommodating. They provided excellent customer service and resolved my mismatched boot problem to my satisfaction. read more

Let me preface this review by saying I really don't like shopping. Especially shoe shopping. I especially don't like these big shoes stores with aisle after aisle of shoes. I've been to other locations of DSW before, and I don't like the environment at all. This one is different though. It feels orderly, and has the warmth of a store that is not unbearable to shop. Not only that, but the employees here are really good. Everyone here is courteous and very helpful. In fact, we called ahead to put shoes on hold. They were there, I tried them on in front of the store, with my little dog. I paid, and I was driving back home before I knew it. It was a quick and painless shopping experience. This is the best shoe shopping experience ever. Overall, this is the best DSW location. Definitely give it a try for all your shoe needs. read more

The SLOWEST girl ringing up at the register!!! I had ONE person in front of me in line and I was standing there for 23 minuets!!! The woman buying shoes at the register was asking a lot of questions and putting in an order online so I understand that takes a while but the store wasn't busy at all- the girl could have easily asked for help at the register. Then the girl at the register went to get a pair of shoes and my dead grandma could have moved faster than her!!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND this DSW if you have to go somewhere... it would have been faster to go to the DSW in Commack if I knew I would spend such a majority of my time standing in line! read more

I know this is a shoe store and not a pharmacy but I sliced my finger open and was bleeding in the store and when I asked the cashier if they had any bandaids she said "not for customers only for employees" REALLY? I went for a job interview here and was told to walk around while I waited. Heres what I noticed. 2 out of 5 associates actually liked their job. They were friendly passionate. The others at the register not so much. Maybe im more professional than them but the floor was a mess and they just stood there. Unhappy on their phones. One of those 3 people really should have stepped in and been on the floor for customers and to keep the place cleaner. read more

It would be nice if they ..along with many other stores not just DSW ...would update their store hours on the website . Arrived at the Jericho location at 630 pm , website states 9 pm closing , only to find them closed. Due to COVID they now close at 6 pm . I understand masks , I understand 50 percent capacity , I understand social distancing . What I don't understand is early closing . Rents have to be paid regardless of what time you close . I work in the public sector, my hours have doubled . Finally finding time to get out and the store being closed, not happy. And I was not the only one .
