This is about my experience with the workers. The shoes I picked were great.
Last week, I walked into the store and picked up a pair of shoes that was on a table labeled 30% off (all shoes) and a male worker helped me get my size. Tried them on then walked over to the register to pay. The girl cashier scanned the box and told me the price - which wasn't reduced. My s.o. and I immediately asked, aren't those 30% off? She didn't even look at us and replied with a flat "no". Not even a "let me double check that for you". Well, that's one star off. We started to point to the table and said that they were on the table with a big sign. She said that they weren't on sale without even looking at the table, without asking any of her other coworkers who weren't doing anything but nearby talking bs. Another star off.
The guy who helped, happened to come by at that moment and said to just give the discount to us. The other employees that are girls, proceeded to talk down to the guy saying that he was doing whatever it took to get sales, even if it's at a lower price. With that bs and talking about it in front of customers, there goes another star. It felt like they were doing a huge favor for us when they weren't.
If I had checked online on the Steve Madden site earlier about the shoes I bought, I would've made the girl cry for trying to take advantage of us. Even on the website, these specific shoes were marked for 30% off.
The girl workers at this location needs to be trained properly and learn how to really be the face of the company for this location. Are they really the best ones to represent the company when there are no other customers around? My s.o. and I left feeling disgusted and extremely dissatisfied with how the cashier handled her job. read more
