The next day I went back with the chain, broken, and asked if they could rush the repair as his flight is leaving in just a few hours. Within the 1/2 hour they called me back, told me the repair was done and charm, ready to go. SO ACCOMMODATING and they made giving my special gift so easy. Many, many thanks. She works from home, and is very careful with how she treats her jewelry. Twice now, she has noticed diamonds have fallen out and/or cracked. The first time she spoke with the jeweler, they repaired the ring, but said they could not guarantee it wouldn't happen again and said "diamonds break." My sister was blamed for the diamonds breaking. The second time my sister went back to the jeweler, she was met with anger and hostility. When she walked in, the jeweler asked "what did you do?" Once again blaming my sister for their poor quality ring. The OWNER of the store said "maybe your brain waves broke it." They compared the diamonds falling out of her ring to a car malfunctioning after purchasing from the dealership. If this were the case, one would bring their car back to the dealership and expect it to be fixed, however, they refused. My sister decided to go to a real jeweler for a second opinion. This jeweler explained that this ring shouldn't have been sold to her in the first place because these tiny diamonds are prone to falling out or cracking. Would have been nice to know, and a legitimate jeweler would have been transparent about that rather than just trying to make money off a customer. Expect your diamonds to break if purchase from this jeweler. It's one thing to have poor quality jewelry, but another to understand customer service. These is a poor excuse for a business.

At first the gentleman who helped us was professional and receptive to what we were looking for. I ended up telling him thank you for your time, and that we would shop around a little more and he'd hear back from me. I went to another business and spoke with an employee there who was much more informative than anybody at From Italy With Love. The employee from the second business told me if I wanted to give my business to Italy With Love then to make sure I was getting a diamond that was GIA graded. I called from Italy with love back and the first question they asked when they picked up the phone was " are you ready to put a down payment on the diamond?". I said no I'm not ready, I want to confirm that the diamond you showed me was GIA graded. I divulged too much information and told him I went to another business who told me I should confirm that it's GIA graded. He replied by telling me his diamonds are GIA certified, not GIA graded. And that the other business' diamonds were essentially not as valuable as his. Turns out there's no difference between graded and certified, essentially they're the same exact thing. I asked him if I could come in and see the GIA certification and he said yes. I went back to from Italy with love and he wouldn't let me hold the certification. He claimed it was "his diamond". If he gave me that info, I could have went home and looked more into the legitimacy of the diamond, but he didn't allow me to note the GIA number, while the other business had no problem with my taking a picture of it. After all, I'm the consumer. Him and another employee then proceeded to bash other businesses in front of my fiancé and I, as if they're the only ones that can be trusted. It was completely unprofessional, and I was more than happy not to give them my business.
