My last review about this awesome establishment was over 2 years ago. A quick excerpt from this 5…read morestar review from March 2, 2019- " I span over to this fantastic and energetic employee named Cory who is helping me restring 2 of my racquetball racquets as I popped the strings. He looks me in the eyes, he asks about my playing, my strokes and then goes on to suggest the perfect strings to complement my strength and style. He asks if I can wait as he starts to work on my stuff with a smile. I have never seen this nor experienced this before." Cory you are a natural and really, genuinely connect with everyone. I am humbled and absolutely just so very, very grateful for you once again taking the time and talking to me and finding out about my history, feet anatomy and specific needs as I came in on May 14th for 2 pairs of athletic shoes - one for racquetball and the other for everyday wear. Ray Ray was the " abnormal" kid born with six toes on each foot( still got them) with five toes being fused together on the left foot causing just a few issues with walking, running and balancing the first 39 months of my awesome life. This is the first time in my life that someone( ie Cory) really had the patience, the care, the ear and the know how to help me. He brought up three pairs based on my size 12 and a 1/2 extra extra wide feet and the first two were perfect- fit, feel, color, comfort, mobility - everything!!! Cory once again delivered magnificently. 3 weeks later - June 5th, 2021 - Capitol City World Outdoor Racquetball Championship, Herndon, Virginia - won the gold in the Men's 3 Wall A Division Doubles. Thank you Cory, from the bottom of my heart.

My daughter was convinced that part of my bad back and bad knee problems are due to my shoes, so…read moreshe "dragged" me to this store when we were visiting. I begrudgingly went, and to my shock and surprise, it ended with me loving the shoes I got because it feels like I'm walking on clouds. I don't know if my back or knee feel any better, but my feet sure do !! The shoes don't necessarily flatter my feet or overall look, but when I step into them, I no longer care. Clouds, clouds, and more clouds... is what I feel... and that's fine by me. The sales approach is completely different from what I've been given, which isn't much of anything, to be honest, and these sales associates know their "shit." They really do, and to be further honest, I think that what other Yelpers have viewed as "rude" or "condescending" was just the sales people ripping apart all preconceived ideas and trying to teach us how to TRULY get properly fit for a shoe, be it for walking or running or whatever. It was an education for sure, and I can see why some would be put off by it. I didn't want to hear some of what they said, but they weren't wrong, either, and my feet are happy once again. Maybe I'll order another pair in another color.

I started running recently and wanted to get shoes for daily runs that would fit my wide feet and…read moregive support for my flat arch and instability. Runner's Edge came to mind as my dad and brother had both gotten fittings there before. I went in the middle of a random weekday thinking the store would be less busy, but there were many customers in there being fitted. Jarod was the associate who helped me. He asked questions about my intended use for the shoes and had me try out a few pairs after measuring my feet. He made adjustments and picked different pairs out from the back as I told him how the shoes felt. I landed on the Saucony Guide 19, which was not shoes that I had in mind or come across during my research. But they are super comfy and I love running in them. I saw they had a lot of gels and other running gear in the store. Would love to revisit when I start preparing for longer runs!
