If you are in need of GOOD FITTING bra, this is the place to go. The staff here are amazing and so attentive! When I walked in I put my name on the clipboard for assistance as I needed to be measured for a bra. I browsed the store for a little bit until my name was called. I was brought to the fitting rooms in the back and measured. After being measured, the sales associate brought back several styles for me to try. She also explained the proper way to care for and put on bras. All in all, the experience was about an hour and during that time I was the only customer she was assisting. Bathing suits galore and salespeople that willl actually help you find the correct size fitted to you the individual! **Please be aware and save yourself from losing money** Went to Blume's in Patchogue to pickup $200 gift card my friend bought for me. Was told it was picked up already. Myself and my friend did not pickup this gift card and due to it being pickup the owner wouldn't listen or do anything to resolve the issue. Didn't apologize or offer something to make up for their mistake. Owner was very rude with a disgusting behavior, had no concern for the customer and was very unprofessional. Owner said they don't check ID's to see if it's the right person picking up the gift card. Owner kept saying how I was interrupting his lunch that's in the back waiting for him. Kept pushing the issue away rather than trying to make things right. Respect, validation, listening and an apology goes a long way! That's a lot of money the owner let get away to someone else and to not even seem to care or see it was their mistake. Clearly customers don't mean anything to this owner. read more

I purchased a $70 bra from Blum's two weeks ago. After two wearings the fabric became pilled with tiny elastic bumps. I'm disappointed the store did not offer to replace the item or rectify the situation in any way. I have not had this problem with other bras by the company. read more

If I could put no stars I would. I returned a bra that I purchased there and had another bra from another store with the tags from that other store on it. The girl did the return of their bra. She never gave me back the bag with my other bra. I called the store and told them and they said there was not another bra in the bag it was empty. I don't understand how they can lie about this. Blum's is like no other!! For someone who has always struggled with purchasing bras, I am not sure why I waited so long to go here. Upon arriving I had to sign in at the back desk and wait about a half hour for a fitting. I'm not sure if that is the standard turnaround time or if it was longer because of Covid. But I waited and wandered around the store looking at some possible options. I will say that I am not giving at five stars as the lady that I worked with was not very compassionate considering Women trying on undergarments is a potentially sensitive subject. However after trying more than 15+ bras I did find one that I absolutely fell in love with and has fit me better than any bra I have ever purchased from any other store! While in my dressing room I can say I overheard other ladies being helped and many of the other sales associate seemed very helpful. So I don't want my review to be about the specific associate more about the selection that the store had. However management should consider the staff that is working with women to make them feel comfortable. If you are in need of a bra, please please please go check them out and do not struggle to fit yourself into some thing that doesn't fit appropriately. read more

I have not been here in years!!!! Every year i say im gonna make the trek out and always fall short of making it... Finally happy i made it here. I know they have an extensive selection of swimsuits, bikinis bras coverups pjs. But beware it is a little bit of a pricey amount. Lets face it when your a woman who has curves in the right places either being blessed or if you enhanced yourself this is where i recommend you go! My friend recommend me this place years ago and i remember the place being so much smaller. They have lots of tops and bottoms you vuy separately but if your looking for supportive bikini tops with more selection than the regular stores carry def come check them out! The sales lady were all super helpful! Checking if they had more sizes in stock. Also i know that a lot of the brands that they carry here last longer than the regular target bathing suits. I liked Blum's. Although the prices are pretty expensive here - you do get quality one-on-one assistance to find the perfect fit for you. They have a beautiful selection of merchandise and they do have a loyalty program (but you have to hit $500 in a year's time...I don't know about you, however, I don't have the $$$ for that). They also have a great sale rack where I scored two great bras for $20/each. They have clothing and pajamas too, and a nice selection of bathing suits in the summer months. My wallet was a little lighter when I left, but I have nice quality bras that 8 or so months later still fit and look great, for the most part. Here's a story for the history books: About 9 years ago, my wife starts a new job. She has her first corporate Christmas party. I tell her, lets go to NYC and buy a little black dress. There's under wire involved, lots of stuff happening with ladies swim ware. Barbara is ever so patient, she brought over at least 30 suits. I said enough! I found a smokin' hot suit, a high quality, looking like Grace Kelly could pull it off in the south of France swimware. She loves it but then declines. Why??? We're going on a family cruise, my boys can't see cleavage, yada yada. I agree with the back up suit Barbara picked out which is also very classy. I see a few husbands mulling around. They're sitting on the couch, on their phones and nodding every once in a while. Dudes! Your wife needs a second set of eyes. I like shopping at Blum's for swim suites and bras. During my visit today for a swim top for my daughter, I encountered some very rude, unprofessional sales associates who were working back in the bra area. There were 3 or more older woman working the area. They could give a crap about the 4 customers that were standing by the back waiting to be helped or acknowledged! I finally had to ask if anyone was working back here and I got nasty rude replies. The other customer actually said thank you to me for speaking up. These sales people were putting bras back on the racks, and that's great, but when 4 customers are standing around you don't just walk past them and not even acknowledge them!!! Wth??!! Then when my daughter goes in the room with you to get measured you treat her like a piece of garbage!! If I knew this when I was there I would have lost my cool. I spend A LOT of money in your highly priced store and expect to be treated NICELY. Either your associates are unhappy working there or you hire miserable people. Oh and you're like the only store I've been in, in a few months that still requires masks??!! read more

My (overweight) daughter went to purchase a bathing suit today at Blum's. After looking around, she was ready to ask questions and try on swim suits. There were sales people on the floor, but she felt she was being ignored. After getting a sales associate's attention, she was able to get sized for a swim top, and the woman disappeared. As my daughter was trying on suits, she noticed in the fitting room, the sales associates were very busy - taking care of thin customers. Whenever my daughter needed assistance, it was very difficult for her to get anyone to help her, all the sales associates were being extremely attentive to the thinner young women. My daughter, feeling badly and defeated, packed up her belongings and left without making a purchase. There are many kinds of discrimination in this world, and unfortunately, my daughter was discriminated against today, based on her body type. Shame Blum's female sales associates who should be supportive of women, young and old, of any body type, especially since it's their business!!!! If you only want to cater to thin customers, then don't carry full figure sizes. read more

I took my friend to blums today for herself and myself to be fitted and purchase bras, along with us was my 4 month old daughter in her stroller. After placing our names on the clipboard for fitting we waited patiently to be called. Over an hour waiting my friends name was called and then I was next on the list. 30 minutes later, When a room opened the women who clearly ran the bra department, she tried to convince a women who's name was similar to mine that it was her turn even though I was saying that's me after the lady told her numerous times that she was 5 more names down on the list. Very clear to me that the women did not want to help me she looked at me and my daughter in her stroller and said very rudely and with no hesitation that I would have to leave my 4 month old out in the store unattended. I told her there was no way I was leaving my daughter in store. she told me then I guess you will have to wait longer and maybe a room will open that might be able to fit. The room that they were using was no bigger then my linen closet. I would have understood if the employee told me that she had to wait to take me when a bigger room came available But to say to I had to leave my daughter out in store unattended is insane. The women waiting with me and myself were in utter disbelief that such a suggestion was even said and that no employee or owner stepped in to correct this. For a boutique that only specializes to women I am appalled. Me, my friends and my family have gone to blums for years. Never again after today. So I warn you if you have children this store is not for you. Obviously my young daughters safety was no concern to them. This store needs to update store to accommodate all customers and retrain staff. read more

Thankfully Blum's is here to rescue women in Long Island. Situated in Patchogue, New York on Main Street Blum's offers a wide range of swimwear in many sizes. The folks here are there to help (key while you're stranded in the fitting room). Elaine was our superstar, eager to fetch different styles and sizes while my mother and I figured things out. Employees certainly know their product lines. (I picked up a bra after being measured. First one out was spot on with the description provided.) With a big sigh of relief our family left. There only an hour and change we whizzed through options. Great place! Tip: Free parking is available *directly* behind the store. Must give credit where is it due...have been coming here for years for both bathing suits and bras and wasn't overjoyed in recent visits (see previous review) but today they won me back over. The sweet older woman who helped me find a suit for a trip to Cancun next week was so patient and perceptive and figured out exactly what I was looking for. At the register my VIP card had recently expired but I was given a $50 gift card for it which made the visit that much nicer. They know how to size and have a good variety of styles to choose from which is why I keep returning. A lot of really fun, uniquely styled beach bags and tons of coverups as well. Expensive but you get what you pay for; the suits are long lasting always holding up to all the swimming I do in both the ocean and pools. read more

Skip the sidewalk sale. I arrived over an hour 4:40 before closing on Saturday 6pm and racks were being packed up and stowed in basement "because it takes an hour to put it away" - said the unapologetic owner, who directed his poor workers to bring it all in. They cleared away the sale items in a process that took under 15 minutes. I frantically tried to locate some deep discounts on advertised swimsuits in my size, but only found items like a 32G swimsuit top and 22w bottoms. Rest of store is quite overpriced and employees are helpful but the abrupt owner doesn't deserve my business! read more

I had high hopes for this store. It is very large, and I must say, they have a fantastic selection. I was impressed with the wide variety of styles and brands that they carry. However, I could only rate it two stars due to the sales people. Buying bras is somewhat of an emotional experience for me. I do not like my chest and I always have had a difficult time finding the right support. At first, no one offered me any help. Heck, I didn't even know exactly what size I was! A sales lady measured me and proceeded to help me. She was annoyed every time I asked for a different color and maybe suggested trying a different style. She complained that she would have to "check downstairs" to see if they carried what I was looking for. I wound up picking out two bras. Next it came time for bathing suits. While that experience was a bit better, no one offered to help me look, even though they saw my arms were full. $150 later, I purchased a suit on sale, a cover-up and the two bras. I love my purchases, but felt very uncomfortable in the store. I guess I'm just used to sales people making you feel comfortable, and less like a burden. read more

If I could give this place no stars I would! My aunt went here to inquire about a prosthetic after being diagnosed with breast cancer and she was met with the rudest and most ignorant of attitudes. I've been coming to Blum's for a few years now and they have a great selection of bathing suits and bras! Better than any other store. However, I have to give it two stars because of the staff. The women that are supposed to help you with finding bras and bathing suits can be very nasty. They seem to help some people and not others. My sister, mom and I come here usually once during the summer and we are always given attitudes. My mother likes to try on a lot of different styles of bathing suits and we always get dirty looks from the older women for her taking so long in the fitting room. And then when she needs a different size they never seem interested in helping and I have I go and look around the store. It's sad because these same women have worked here for years and they don't seem to know how to be nice to everyone. However, the younger staff seem to be better with helping us out! read more

I went to Blum's for the first time today and I was blown away by the service and the range of bra sizes. I wear a very large cup size and felt hopeless that I would ever find a store in NY that stocked my size especially after having such a bad experience with another store. Not only was I blown away by the service - Sarah was WONDERFUL - I also found multiple bras in my size and a beautiful corset to go with my bridesmaid dress - very happy would recommend to anyone who is not that standard bra size and even those who are - will definitely go back in the future read more

I LOVE Blums.. I live in Las Vegas and always visit Blums when I come home. I buy at least 3 bras and hope that they make it to my next visit to New York which has been sometimes over 3yrs and I still am wearing the same bras. I just freaked out yesterday when my underwire broke from a bra I purchased a year ago. That usually doesn't happen. I was excited to see they have an online store. I don't see my bra though so I am praying I get the size correct. They have measured me and when I try them on they usually are just a bit big and I go down a bit.
