I've been shopping at Tandy Wear for many, many years and have always loved the store, the style, and the quality of clothing. I've also known the owner for years - she is a kind, respectable person who truly cares about her customers. However, over the past year or two, I've noticed a decline in customer service. There are a few sales associates whose approach often makes shopping uncomfortable. They seem eager to help younger women or those who fit the mold of a certain aesthetic, but if you don't, the experience changes. Instead of showing flattering pieces that could accentuate your positives, they tend to pull oversized items - with more of an appeasing "let's cover you up" attitude rather than talking to you positively about what could look good on you. Even when I share my preferences and typical size, I'm often presented with clothing that feels mismatched to what I've expressed I like. At this point, it feels less like a mistake and more like inexperience or a lack of understanding of how to style different body types. Additionally, hiring only sales staff who look and act "trendy" misses the mark when it comes to connecting with the broader demographic of women who should be embraced and celebrated as valued customers. It's too bad, because the clothes themselves are cute - but the experience has become so unpleasant that I will be taking this place off my list of places to shop. read more

Coming back again !!! Best local boutique !! Omg I just searched tandy girl and I couldn't find it We came to tandy wear after seeing the hamptons insta posts ! My mom and I came to find a bridal shower outfit ! The woman working was super helpful and guided us across the street to tandy girl We came a little before they closed but we're so helpful and I found my outfit !! Cutest jump suit In my head I believed tandy girl was geared mostly to tweens and teenagers but it's for young adults as well , I wanted to buy everything in the store. They even had a Barbie section and my inner younger self was squeeling The decor is beautiful. I of course took photos of everything !! I was able to order last minute Christmas gifts through their website. It was ready within 30 min !

I placed an order online for a dress. I went in the following day to pick it up & tried it on BEFORE even leaving the store. It did not fit. The employee told me that since I did not leave the store, I would be able to return it. Another woman came to the register & said no we don't take returns. I explained the situation & she rudely said again that they do not take returns that I could only get store credit. The reason? Because women wear the clothing & return it after they wear it. I DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE THE STORE WITH THE DRESS! (clearly they pick & choose what returns they'll accept if the employees don't even know the policy) Horrible customer service, awful return policy. High end stores accept returns. Would not recommend this store. read more

This is my absolute favorite store for clothes! The selection is amazing. Whoever does the buying for this store gets a 10 out of a 5 star rating. The stylists there are wonderful. Even though I think of myself as a smart dresser, they suggest things I would never think of putting together and it always looks great. They even gave me some dressing tips that make me look thinner than I actually am. Thank you a million times Tandy! I went in to buy a birthday gift. While I was there I saw a pair of pants and top I thought I would like. I just came from the gym and didn't want to try on clothes. I told the sales person I would try on at home. She started to show me a few other things that I liked and also purchased. The next day I tried on the clothes and things didn't fit well. I went to Tandy to exchange and return. When I told the girl I was there the day before she informed me there are NO returns! I told her I was not informed there was no returns. She said read your receipt. I explained the situation when the women who helped me the day before came out. She started to say "I told you there were No returns" that was an outright lie! I would have never bought the amount of clothes without trying things on. She said "I told you to try the clothes on" that she did say! I had explained I didn't want to try clothes on after coming out of the gym. She NEVER said you could not return. She outright lied. That is what bothers me the most! BEWARE! the salesgirls are only trying to make commissions and everything they tell you is a lie. Quality of clothes is poor! Save your money and buy from a more reputable store with much better quality that stands behind there merchandise! read more

Love this boutique shop owned by a woman named Tandy. She is so helpful and friendly, Every week she collects new fashions and jewelry for sale in her shop. Clothing and Jewelry are unique, fun and current. I have gotten the best leggings and tops from her store, stuff you cannot find in department stores or other boutiques. So glad we have a locally owned boutique that actually has style and class. read more

The salespeople are welcoming and really know their merch! I saw a pair of pants and went in to find them... when I asked about them, not only did I find them on the sales rack but many other pants at AMAZINGLY low prices! In addition to the sales items, I bought two shirts that helped complete the outfits! I don't get to shop here often since I'm not local but it's a favorite GO TO store to pick up pieces do add to my wardrobe. read more

Very cute clothing but the employees are absolutely wretched! I walked in with my sibling to look around while my mother went to a shop nearby. As I was looking and finding things to try on a worker came and took the clothing I was interested in, she looked at the tag and gave me a nasty look and proceeded to take the clothing and bring them in the back. She asked me and my sibling if we were looking for anything in particular and I told her I was waiting for my mother. She then continued to stare me down as I perused through the shop making me feel extremely uncomfortable and unwanted. As my mother finally came to look around with me and my sister the same woman who had been on my back the whole time said "Is there something I can help you with?" As soon as my mother exclaimed she was with me and my sibling the lady decided she wanted to be pleasant to me and handed me my clothes back. At this point my mother was speaking to me saying "Wow, I never knew this shop was here!" With a smile on her face. After my mother said this another worker, almost as nasty as the first said "Oh wow; this is the first place I knew of when I moved here... must not get out much." These employees made me feel like I was in high school again; never have I experienced such unwelcoming nasty customer service! Too bad because I probably would have bought something!! They made the entire store (despite the wonderful clothing) feel like hell!! Would not recommend shopping here if you don't want to feel like you are being bullied by a couple of woman who are far too old to be working in a boutique! After I left without buying anything I brought my money elsewhere right down the street and got multiple adorable articles of clothing for 10x cheaper! TANDYWEAR I URGE YOU TO RETHINK YOUR HIRING!!
