I can only talk about the bike department. Staff Jose was awesome. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time explaining to us and showed us different bikes. 24 hours returning policy as long as they are new.

Went to Dick's the other day for swimming goggles and a pair of running pants. The store is huge and has a good selection of everything in the way of sporting goods. The sales help was friendly and helpful, and were able to show me were the products i needed were. Prices were good and they run sales frequently so keep on the look out for sales circular.

There out there and I will catch them and eat them

I called and after being transferred about 6 times, I spoke to a gentleman named Chris who couldn't have been more apologetic.

This location is easy to find, located in a huge outdoor mall with lots of free parking. I like going into the store to "feel" or at least see how a product is prior to purchasing but they do have a lot more stuff on their website and they have an outlet store online as well. This REI has a good selection of items, everything is clean and organized and there's always an employee that will ask if you need help with anything. My last visit, I think 3-4 employees asked if I needed help with anything while I was browsing around. Hubby and I stopped by last year to check out their balance bikes and bike helmets for our son and the employee that was in charge of that area was super helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up purchasing an REI brand balance bike for him a month later for his birthday during their sale and I love how they have a trade in program for it. Don't quote me on it but you basically trade in your older, smaller one (I believe they have to be REI brand) and you get a percentage off (40%?) of the next size up. This is amazing because kids grow up so fast and I don't want to deal with storing outgrown sizes or the hassle of trying to re-sell them. The REI branded bikes feel pretty good in my opinion and my son is very happy with his bike and also his helmet we purchased from there. I also recently signed up for their membership program which is a one time fee of $30 which to me is well worth it even though I don't shop there that often. I believe when I signed up, you also get a $30 credit to spend so basically the membership's free! If you're in the market for camping and outdoorsy type products, definitely check out REI!

It may have gone through one pass of the stone grind, if even. I pointed out the chunks of dirt and that my base was DRYER than when I gave it to them. I was visibly unhappy. They removed the dirt, but that was it. I was offered to come back and have it done again. I declined the offer and went straight to another shop. They waxed my board beautifully and will go to them for a stone grind after my trip. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in SNO HAUS! PS - On the phone they give you one price and then when you go in, they tell you that's only the price if you purchased it in store. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Sno-Haus is hands down the best shop on Long Island. From tuning services to new gear at great prices Sno-Haus has it all. Their staff is patient and helpful in a way that other shops can't compare. They spent over 2 hours working with my daughter trying on different boots to get perfect pair. How do you out a price on that? You can't! My only "complaint" is that they aren't open in the summer because when it's 90 degrees out what I really want to do is shop for new gear!!

So I brought the bike back to brooklyn and to Edgewares. The owner of the shop stopped what he was doing to come take a cursory look. When the battery was fizzing he knew there was a bigger issue so instead of promising a quick turn around he said he wanted to find the real problem but it could take time, and he'd follow up with an estimate. I appreciated the quick review and honest timeline. I got a call later that he had discovered some glitchy wires that may have also been shorting the battery and he had contacted rad wagon and found it. It was under warranty and was able to get me a replacement bike. I was floored! I was happy to pay for set up of the new bike as they had put a lot of time into it. When I realize I had forgotten the key lock for the battery when picking up the new bike they came to my house a mile and a half away to pick it up. It was incredible customer service. I have two ebikes and kid bikes and this place will be my go to for servicing in the future !
