If the winds were above 15 knots, we would not have been able to go but we were able to wait until we knew for sure, before having to make the almost 90-minute drive to the island. There was an overcast and it was chilly when we first arrived. When we got to the marina, Keith met us on the dock by the boat, gave hubby a little rundown of the features and sent us on our way. We drove out for some time and just hung out while we watched the skies part and make way for sun. The water was a bit bumpy and after having some lunch, we were all ready to head back. The boat was kept in a pretty tight slip; it was hubby's first time driving. After two attempts at trying to make it into the slip, we called Keith to come out and give us a hand and he was able to hop aboard from the dock of a slip with better access, and then park us safely. This is definitely something we'll likely do on a regular basis, making it a family outing every summer. The boat was clean, had a fish finder, GPS and radio so it was easy for a first timer to get the hang of and enjoy taking out.

It's the difference between a salesman and someone who actually wants to set you up for a good day on the water. He walked me over to a display and pulled a rod, reel, and line combo -- all for $50. "This is all you need," he said. And he meant it. He could have easily steered me toward something pricier, but he didn't. That kind of honesty is rare and it earns loyalty. A few bobbers and a bag of hooks later, I walked out fully rigged and ready to go. The shop is easy to find -- right on Montauk Highway, about half a mile from the Robert Moses Causeway. It's not a massive space, but the selection is surprisingly deep, covering rods, reels, hooks, line, lures, and both fresh and frozen bait. The 4.8 stars on Google Maps aren't an accident. After 3 weeks i noticed i still havent received a tracking number from them as the status of the item stayed at "we are preparing your item to ship. I finally email back and the owner reply "I sent a message to the shipping dept." That's all you say? Didnt want to look into it? Shift the blame if there was a shipping department. I dont think he had the intention of ever sending a replacement hoping i'd go away silently so i just disputed it with my credit card company which gave him 3 weeks to reply. The audacity of this owner to send me an email first before replying to my credit card company saying he wont be shipping a replacement anymore just blew my mind( i confirmed my suspicison as i called my credit card company told me they got no response from him yet.Complete lack of professionalism and ethics was the first negative experience since getting into fishing, the community is great but i guess this is why we cant have nice things

Mike is great. but I'll drive 20 mins for it not to be there after confirmation. the inventory is good on used guns but ammunition is scarce for the most popular rounds in existence. for months they went without 9mm and now no inventory 223 or 556 even though some are listed online. no ar style magazines or Glock magazines. barely any accessories like slides triggers parts kits buffers.. anything of the sort. I saw maybe one cheap LPK and one over priced trigger. no middle ground. I had decided I've fine with waiting, I don't need to hassle in store anymore over this bs.. of course not. the warehouse is very inaccurate also. many items will be ordered, than after 2 weeks of waiting you get told it errored out so you will get a refund. it's almost ridiculous. I've put in 8 warehouse orders since 2026 began and 6 of them have errored out. it shouldn't be acceptable. not to mention, the higher ups don't respond to email. the young kids who are on technology and could actually help don't have company emails that are accessible for customers. the website is beyond insecure. just from looking at the front end, the credit card log and actual employee data is exposed. it shouldn't be that way at all. especially when they have clients that are law enforcement and need there information protected. since they have access to wholesale they will offer dirt for very good well respected firearms. I purchased a $619 shotgun, at the counter while checking out I jokingly said what would you give me if I brought it back next week.. he went to the back and asked. they said $150 in this condition. isn't that funny? respect the game..but at a certain point when the other stores on the island charge half your price on ammo and offer three times as much on trade-in.. you gotta cut the bs out.
