Incredibly amazing food and service! Our table enjoyed a variety of dishes, the braised beef, pan seared chicken with gnocchi, the pork chop and scallops and shrimp. We sat at the bar and were given a selection of what proved to be delicious beverages. We ordered a negroni and an elderflower... something. Best negroni I've ever had. The elderflower... something was delicious. For an app we had crab cakes. Again, one of the best crab cakes I've ever had. Meals we had duck and chicken. Dessert, apple cider donut with caramel and ice cream. Honestly, this was one of the best meals I've ever had from start to finish. The bartender was knowledgeable, personable and made amazing drinks. It's not cheap but worth every cent. I can't say enough about this place except for go. Go now. read more

Fabulous food, superlative service. We had a lovely dinner here with my father and stepmom, who were deeply impressed. At the end of the meal I left my DSLR camera in a bag under the table and left. After dropping my relatives off and realizing my mistake I turned round to drive back to the restaurant. As I pulled into the parking lot my phone was ringing - the restaurant had checked against my booking to find my phone number and call me to let me know about the left-behind camera. Just a few days later, we went back with friends. Once more, exceptionally good food, and impeccable service. Top-notch. So, I'm sitting here at our table, unable to quite finish the last bite of the cider donuts we split for dessert. It's really tempting. Very, very good food. Started with some cider cocktails (the 'Cidertini' is excellent), then some appetizers (the charcuterie and the 'apple fritters', both outstanding), then a salad (also good) and a half order of the house made chips (not bad, but underwhelming compared to everything else). I was wondering whether they really deserved five stars. Definitely leaning to four after the chips. Then my entree arrived. I got the cider braised pork. The one with the homemade pumpkin pasta and the roasted fresh pumpkin. Covered in, effectively, the cider reduction au jus the pork was braised in. This was one of the most amazing dishes I've ever had. So well balanced, seasonal, and just executed flawlessly. My wife, who generally hates pork, took the plate when I stopped eating and wolfed the rest of it down. (She had some decent scallops, but whatever.) Service was good. We had a little issue with the bar where they forgot to remake one of our drinks (my wife accidentally ordered a cocktail with an ingredient she's allergic to...), but the server sorted it out and then brought us an extra cocktail to apologize. Wow - probably one of the best restaurant experiences overall that I can remember in a long time. The atmosphere was very quiet and the inside was very rustic-looking with beautiful granite tables. Our server (wish I remembered her name) was on top of her game and was very well informed of the beer selection and types. We ordered the cheeseboard because we've never ordered one before and it looked great. This cheeseboard alone is worth a 3 hour drive back up there! The Moroccan Chicken sandwich was on a pita roll that was one of the best wraps/sandwiches I have ever had. The cider donut dessert is totally worth every penny and then some. I can't wait to tell our friends about this great little gem. We did call and ask about reservations and they said an 8:15 and 8:30 were the soonest on a Sunday evening. OpenTable showed an 8:15 as well and we took it. When we got there at 7:45 expecting to sit at the bar and wait, there must have been 6 tables that were vacant so we were seated sooner. Place is a gem. In an area where with lots of kitchen nightmares, fast-food spots, and seasonal restaurants, this place holds it down. A well thought out menu and great ingredients make for an awesome meal. The ambiance is perfectly rustic and the drinks are good too. Try the homemade potato chips with curry sauce as appetizer and get the cider doughnut with vanilla ice cream and Carmel sauce for desert. Make a reservation! It's worth it. We've been visiting the Jackson area for years. Cross country skiing is excellent. This was probably the most creative delicious food we've had. We had the polenta fries and stuffed dates to start. DH had chicken with a creamy pasta -very filling and something that gave a dish an extra push to great. ?Umani? I had the kale, fingerlings and goat cheese in a skillet with a kolarahbi and apple slaw. We enjoyed a Spanish red blend on the lower end of the wine list. Service was a bit slow to start. One of the wait staff was ill. The hostess was doing double duty. Frankly I'm happy the person called out to prevent spreading stuff and I was happy to wait a little. Everything is great - upscale food, great wine list, romatic fireplace, wonderful staff. I love their salads, soups and all of the entrees & apps. Best place to sit is at the bar where Jeff the bartendar (and walking encyclopedia about wine, beer and cocktails) will help you with drink and dinner choices. The service is always friendly and attentive. Great selection of wines by the glass. Interesting menu selection and a top notch chef whose food is very flavorful especially for the North Country. Not too many good restaurants in the area so this one stands out. The Bar area is intimate with a large stone fireplace in winter. Agree this is one of the best restaurants in the area - a perfect combination of great food with a casual atmosphere that's perfect after a day spent outside. We liked it so much we ate here several nights on a recent vacation in the area - and even skied an extra hour or two just to be able to splurge on the homemade chips. We had the specials both nights but in each case they were cooked perfectly with a good blend of spices and good technique on the fish dishes. We typically don't order desserts but after reading about the cider donuts had to try that (and yes we skied an extra hour the next day again). I really liked the atmosphere but be warned it's not necessarily for a quiet romantic meal during peak times - when you combine brick walls and drinking patrons it can get loud. The dining room is broken up into smaller areas so that helps with the noise level. We made our first visit to the White Mtn Cider Company this evening. We sat at the bar and had an incredible experience. The bartender, Steven, was friendly and engaging. He was extremely knowledgable about the menu items and the wine list. His service was top-shelf and we enjoyed his company very much. We ordered a wide variety of appetizers, ranging from the shaved Brussell sprouts to the homemade chips that was served with our choice of three sauces. We chose the Gorgonzola, the curry and the garlic aioli sauces. All three were great, but the consensus favorite of the group was the curry. My personal favorite appetizer was the special of the night. It was a homemade parsley linguine served with housemade sweet Italian sausage and a broccoli rabe pesto. It would have made a great entree. Speaking of entrees, our group ordered 4 spectacular dishes. The hanger steak was very good as we're the two chicken entrees. I ordered the duck cassoulet. It was a duck breast, served over a stew made with white beans, duck confit, and sausage. Outstanding! Dessert and coffee rounded out a delightful evening. Kudos to Steven and the kitchen staff for making a night out with friends into a truly special occasion! A few words of warning - this is not a place for young children. There isn't a children's menu and not a chicken finger to be found. The food is very grown-up and sophisticated. Bring your 10 year old at your own risk! The portions are very large. The prices are high but you get true value. You won't go home hungry! This place is a hidden gem. If you are looking for a nice night in the North Conway area, this is a fantastic option. I had one of the greatest meals of my life here. We made reservations online and were sat promptly as soon as we walked in. The reservations are a must, as it seems to get filled up very quickly. My server was very knowledgeable and helpful with our questions. We got the shaved Brussels sprouts salad (totally out of the comfort zone) but absolutely unreal. I then had the duck and my wife ordered sea scallops. Both dishes cooked PERFECTLY, duck came with a wild rice Ragout?, that was phenomenal. Her scallops were seared perfectly and very tasty. Anyplace that cooks green beans to a crave worthy taste deserves respect. Dessert we went with the cider donuts and the chocolate cremaux with passion fruit. The chocolate cremaux was my favorite of the two. The best place I have eaten at in the area by far. We come to conway about twice a year and will be coming here every time. read more

I went to the White Mountain Cider Co. restaurant on a Tuesday night. The weather was terrible, as a result, my boyfriend and I were the only patrons. The food, however, was absolutely amazing. We shared an appetizer; brussels sprouts salad, very tasty. For entrees, my boyfriend got the hangar steak. He said everything (steak, potato, green beans) was cooked to perfection. I ordered the polenta torte. It was probably one of the best meals I've ever had. It is the only vegetarian entree, but it is so good! All the flavors were balanced so nicely. We shared a large dessert, the apple cider doughnuts. Also delicious! I wish we lived in the area, we would definitely become regulars. Nice portion sizes and good local beer lists. Outside looks like a barn house. Interesting. In the back is a barn yard cider shop that sells their popular cider donuts. We went here for dinner during Memorial Day weekend. We started with the calamari. It was prepared very differently from other calamari we have ordered before. The pineapple and rhubarb really made it different. Didn't think I would like it as much as I would. I would definitely order it again. My only complaint was that it was a little meager. Our entrees consisted of the Seared Scallops and Braised Pork Shank. The first was done perfectly. The lemon risotto wasn't strong at all. I finished it rather quickly. My better half had the pork shank and he felt it was too drowned in the broth. He finished most of it but felt it was too overdone. The portion was fairly large. We had the cider donuts and ice cream for dessert. It was very good. Warm donuts with vanilla ice cream was a good combination. For a cocktail, I tried the Lady of the Lake, and it was potent but quite delicious. I think I was tipsy after my third sip. Overall, a nice dinner, albeit a little pricey.
