The vegetables were good! My sirloin....the steak itself was good despite being a tad overcooked for medium rare. Something on the plate had a curry flavor - it just didn't all go together well. Then the lemon ricotta cheesecake....we didn't taste any lemon, it was thick and weirdly dry for a cheesecake. It also had freeze dried something on top....we actually weren't sure what. Some bright spots - the food quality! You can tell that these are top notch high quality ingredients, and the cocktails! They were yummy! I just don't like the weird combos and what (to me) feels like being weird for the sake of being different versus just being good. There was plenty of produce, meats, snacks, and more to choose from. They even have an entire aisle full of beer, seltzers, and other canned beverages plus, an aisle worth of wine. I also spotted aperol here (not sure of the price) which was surprising since many of the nearby liquor stores or convenience stores didn't seem to have any. One thing to note, and this is especially important for those of us traveling from out of state who don't have grocery stores that sell booze (looking at you, Marylanders), everyone who is with you will need to show valid ID. The three of us all helped shop and load the groceries into check out and we weren't aware that we all needed to show ID even though only one of us was making the purchase. I made the silly mistake of leaving my wallet behind but showed a picture of my ID to the staff who reluctantly told me it was fine but to just not handle any of the booze myself. Oops! Hopefully they take this stocked item and all the others out ASAP and investigate the who, what, when & where behind the internal ordering of these & the vendor. These are not just old items, they're counterfeit items that could cause short or even long term health complications. This shop is the perfect addition to Main St., selling both wine and knitting/sewing materials. Owner, Kim, is very sweet and creative. Main St. has beautiful knit pieces placed all around, adding a sweet feel to a historical little town. Cafe Nomad just down the street serves Fiber & Vine wines too. The store itself has a large, diverse selection of delicious wines and colorful yarns. There is also a large selection of buttons, and I find very unique ones that I use for my jewelry-making endeavors. During Norway's First Friday events, the shop often offers wine tastings, and they have a schedule of other events as well--such as "knit and sip" type stuff.
