Lots of other things to me could have complemented the bread better. Then we order the lettuce wraps, they were ok. My friend ordered the duck and I tried it and we both really liked it! The vegetables were good! My sirloin....the steak itself was good despite being a tad overcooked for medium rare. Something on the plate had a curry flavor - it just didn't all go together well. Then the lemon ricotta cheesecake....we didn't taste any lemon, it was thick and weirdly dry for a cheesecake. It also had freeze dried something on top....we actually weren't sure what. Some bright spots - the food quality! You can tell that these are top notch high quality ingredients, and the cocktails! They were yummy! I just don't like the weird combos and what (to me) feels like being weird for the sake of being different versus just being good. For the rest of our weekend activities, our only option for hard alcohol is the big government liquor store. But anyway, this government store is actually awesome. Big selection of all types of liquor, pretty much anything you've ever heard of. Big selection of wines too, curated surprisingly well for being out here in the middle of nowheresville. Prices are reasonable and much lower than private-market stores like the Coops, Hannaford, etc. The store is efficient, down-to-earth, and safe, with good parking. Their website is excellent: useful, simple and efficient. I recommend checking it out before going to the store. It lists all of their items, and the complete current price list, including sales. It shows exactly what's in stock at each store location (IIRC it is updated each morning).

Shopping here ahead of a holiday was a little different than past trips. After quickly finding the essentials I noticed the line for the checkout went across the front of the store and up an outside aisle. I started getting nervous that I'd be in line for an hour but soon noticed the line was constantly moving. There was one main line and the fist available checkout person took the next in line. So...in a matter of minutes I was up to the front and getting checked out. Efficient trip and managed to get everything I needed. Love these stores!!!

I grabbed a few bottles that I had been looking for (no unicorns) but this place really had a decent selection for it being a smaller store. At least for whiskeys where my expertise is.
