Whenever we are in the Midwest we always stop at least once for White Castle!! This White Castle is the cleanest I have ever seen and has great ventilation so you don't smell like sliders for the next 300 miles. Absolutely horrible. Went thru drive thru...got things wrong. Ordered 4 cheeseburgers with no pickle, got 4 hamburgers with extra pickles and no onions. Also forgot onion chips. Don't waste your time. read more

This review is going to be 100% biased on the grounds of childhood nostalgia, and that this White Castle was a random surprise while I was on an even more random trip to Indiana. Sorry, not Sorry. WHITE CASTLE! They don't have these in North Carolina where I am from, and this is the first I had eaten a fresh slider from one of them in probably a decade, or close to it. When I was a very young child, my dad would take me here and promise me I could have a slider for every year I was old. How convenient that we moved impossibly far from any trace of them the moment I turned 6, right? I am now 32. He will not honor that commitment any longer. These tasted just like I remember. Steamy, oniony, classic. No fries needed... just load me up on sliders. Could not be happier. They even had the stain glass bordered windows. For this location, I have no complaints. Laid back and kind people working the counter got me my order quickly with a smile. Haters gonna Hate. I love this place, and it gets my elite 5 stars pretty much by default. read more

We used to say, "such a deal this White Castle, you'se can get 4 burgers for a buck that stay with you for four days..." Well, we meant the effects thereof but you catch my drift. Notice that the negative reviews are from people who tried White Castle for the first time, it's not for everybody. There's definitely an improved receptive sensibility if you first partake in the sorts of appetizer preferred by Harold and Kumar, or a night of drinking alcoholic beverages. These places would be out of business if it weren't for liquor and marijuana. Don't know why they aren't in California and Colorado. This one is very good, faster better service than the usual White Castle, much cleaner. In fact I wasn't sure I was in the right place, not a derelict on the premises. Someone who thinks he or she is really important parked right next to the structure in a big SUV, I presume a manager or district supervisor, but I found that to be rude on a cold arctic day. Probably the worst White Castle i have ever been to. You walk in a sign that says they don't have anything. And the one thing they do have on the menu they should be able to do perfectly but they didn't. Look at that burger. I ended up throwing all 5 burgers away. Dry, overcooked, the pickle has a bad flavor, the onions were destroyed. Smh. Very disappointed in White Castle today. Quality and service out the window. You shouldn't be proud of this. So there's a new movie coming out in this month: "Laura and Kyle Go To White Castle." I kid, I kid.... But really, I cannot go to this place without that movie ("Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle," in case you didn't know) coming to mind. The funny thing is that some people didn't know that White Castle was a real fast food chain -- they thought it was made up for the movie. Nope. It's real. And really good. But really bad for you. So bad. I know this, yet, when we were on a short road trip and saw the orange and white sign off the highway, well... it's been awhile... we just had to stop and get some sliders and fries. We went through the drive-thru and picked up a meal of ten sliders and two fries for $9.99. The service was quick and once we had our greasy sliders, we chowed them down. One at time... until we just couldn't anymore. Groooooan. Delicious but.... gahhhhh. No. I remember why I stopped eating there after just a few meals. Glad we stopped, but no more White Castle for me. My body just doesn't handle it well. read more

For me the biggest issue is access to the restaurant. When the road was redone it negatively affected access. You have to go about 1,000 feet beyond the restaurant, make two turns and drive back the 1,000 feet again to get to it. Then there is a large concrete wall in front of it that gives it a weird vibe. My son and I stopped by on a Saturday evening on our way back to Nashville. It was about 6:00 in the evening, yet the there were only two other patrons there. The place was pretty dead. My second issue, and this is likely with all locations - they no longer have onion rings!!!! How is that possible? White Castle used to have some of THE best whole onion, onion rings. Now they have "onion petals". Not a fan. I don't know if it was old grease in the fryer, but they had a "chemical" taste. Just not very good. Overall this location was rather depressing. It has a weird layout inside, it's small, and the large concrete wall was a bit oppressive feeling. read more

This particular White Castle is always clean. And you may see tractors parked in the parking lot. I have visited it every time on the way home from visiting my dad in Indiana. Four "Slyders", an order of fries and a diet coke would accompany me as I pull back on the highway and do my patented and rare eat-while-I-drive stunt. For some reason I would always get hot sauce packets from here. They have a Jalapeno Sauce that has the White Castle name/logo on the packets. It's not too spicy, but adds flavor to the little burgers like a moderately spicy salsa would. I think I get hot sauce from here to keep the drive through Indiana's flatlands more challenging. After getting settled back on the road, I tactfully remove the top of the bun of a burger and apply the sauce to the "meat" and chow down as I drive on I-65 toward Chicago happily consuming all 4 Castles. I heard that White Castle had two new ocean specials, and I cant pass up acrab cake! So I thought Id try White Castles Crab Cake Sliders Shrimp Nibblers here. The Crab Cake Sliders were just what I expected. While the crabcake had the expected taste, it was not strong or "fishy" as I might have expected. No, they do cook these on tne griddle, so there is no onion taste. The included aeoli was less spicy than expected, and disappeared into the bun. Overall, a p!easant but bland addition the White Castle. I wish I could be more complimentary of the Shrimp Nibblers, but I cant. These were simply over-breaded popcorn shrimp, but have been "butterflied" to look fatter and carry more breading. A heavy and hard breading gave a resounding crunch, but the tiny bit of shrimp inside came of as overcooked and tasteless. Bigg disappointment. Good soda. Food gave us all the . Burgers super wet and nasty with no taste. Cheese sticks are good, that of the frozen Walmart variety. Fries had a weird texture. Onion chips were super greasy. Staff was super nice and fun and bathroom had plenty of TP which we needed. read more
