I am not local to the area but was passing through and looking for something different to eat. This place seems fairly new and it wasn't busy on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered a Southwest chicken wrap and fries and my boyfriend ordered a burger and chicken tenders with cheese curds. We also added an order of their onion rings to try. The cheese curds were fantastic - better than several other popular chains. The wrap was good and the chicken was crisp. The fries and onion rings came out fresh and hot. As we sat there I noticed more people coming in to order so I think word of mouth will bring in more business. The menu is big which could be a little overwhelming but I'm thinking you can't go wrong with most choices. We almost left when we saw how rundown the place was when we walked in, but we gave it a chance which we soon regretted. Even though there was nobody before us (we weee literally the one ones in the place) took about 10 to get our "fast food." When we received the order, one of the entrees was wrong, we ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and were given a buffalo chicken sandwich. As a side we got cheddar fries, there was too much cheese sauce, the sauce tasted terrible (likely instant garbage they order and add water to,) and one of the fries was still frozen in the middle. This relatively new Beef-A-Roo is the only location in Indiana. The Nebraska based franchise prides itself on affordable sandwiches, which they are. This was our first visit. The dining rooms on is super clean with a trendy vibe. There was only one clerk during our visit and she was busy tending drive thru and walk in customers while prepping food. She still was friendly and even made menu recommendations. We had a short wait, which gave us time to study the menu. The pork tenderloin was on special, so my husband ordered one. The sandwich came with beverage and fries for $10. I ordered the Crispy Chicken sandwich. Food was ready in about 10 minutes. The meats were frozen processed patties. The buns were upscale and fresh and toppings were good. But the meats fell a little short for us. The fries were good. We may have ordered the wrong things as other reviews praise the burgers. But you just can't served processed frozen pork in Indiana and call it a tenderloin. The dining room is comfortable. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is easy on and off of US65. Prices and service are great and food is hot. I'd give them another try and order something else. read more

I think because this is so off the beaten path it is missed by many as an eating establishment. Food is made fresh while you wait as are milkshakes to which they have several flavors. I got The Mahi Mahi sandwich on a gluten free bun. The bun itself wasn't stable and quickly deemed itself useless as an option for supporting my sandwich this I used my fingers to pick up the fish which made for a messy lunch. Quiet because we were the only customers there, again I don't think people realize it's there... The cheese fries were pretty good and so was the root beer milkshake Howe I did add more root beer to the shake so it was stronger than they made it. Also, order your fries and then ask for a small cup to of cheese on the side if you prefer not to have the mess and would rather dip. There are a few handicap accessible tables which was nice to see. I really think if their outdoor sign were taller in the air that they'd have more business because the building next door seemed vacant and its greenery blocked the view of this business signage. read more

Decent fast food option. I'd give it an average rating because the beef (which is its namesake) is similar to what you might find at Arby's. Not really memorable. However, on the positive side, the mahi sandwich was very good. I'd give that an "A" and would order that again. read more

I've been here several times in the last few weeks. Everything has been really good! The roast beef sandwich & French fries are good. The bacon cheese burger, cheese curds & onion rings were outstanding!!Yesterday I got a fish sandwich. Not just any fast food fish sandwich, but a blackened mahi-mahi!! TL;DR Fast casual dining experience with decent food. Don't get the pork tenderloin. It's a fritter. It's lame AF. Get a burger. On the recommendation of the person taking our ordered I got "the special" which is a pork tenderloin', medium fries and medium drink. It was her favorite! The tenderloin is actually a fritter and the breading is a corn meal. It's lame and not worth the calories. The fries are thin cut, not my favorite. My wife ordered a chicken's wrap which she said was fine. I got to try their cheese curds, which were the highlight for me. No squeak though. Everything was hot and brought to our table. I wanted to leave 2 stars but while leaving, another patron walked up to the counter and shouted back to the kitchen, this is the best burger I have had in a very long time. Cooked to perfection! A great new addition to the fast casual food choices in this area. It was super busy on opening day, and all the employees were enthusiastic and helpful. I frequently work in this area, and it has been quite some time since we have had a new lunch option. This is the first Indiana location of this chain that originated in Rockford Illinois. This is a small family-owned chain of restaurants, and according to the website began in 1967. A The menu is much larger than I would have guessed: many types of burgers, gourmet salads, with unique ingredients, wraps, baked potatoes, sides, shakes, and desserts. There are several vegetarian items including a really tasty grilled cheese, veggie burger, deluxe veggie club, and baked potatoes. They also have a limited time menu and a daily special. The dining room is large, bright, light, modern and attractive. There are booths, high and low tables of various sizes. Everything I ordered was delicious: grilled cheese with added tomato and onion, cheese curds, salted caramel shake. The barbecue sauce is smoky and tasted really good with my cheese curds. This was my second visit. I am local. The food is very good, and there is such a varied menu! The service was excellent and staff was very friendly. Restaurant was clean. I love their $5.55 special. I got a loaded cheeseburger, regular fries and a regular drink for $5.55, an extremely good deal in these trying times. The cheeseburger was excellent. I hope more locals come here, I would hate to lose it. It is on the very edge of town, but on an Interstate exit, so hopefully they get good traffic. It's my new go-to place. read more

All in all, it was a good meal. Had two beef and cheese and a side of small fries. All together was just under 12 bucks. To be frank I would not have given it four stars without the buy one get one free. A single sandwich would not be worth $6., but they are cooked very well. I attended the grand opening, and everything was pretty good. The place was completely slammed with people! I couldn't even find a parking spot initially, but food came out quickly and was pretty tasty. So I tried to go back two days later and this time the place was not busy at all to the naked eye...maybe three cars in the parking lot and two cars ahead of me in the drive thru line. So, imagine my surprise when I was told that it would be 30 minutes before someone would even take my order in the drive thru. I asked if the wait was for all menu items, as I would understand if maybe a fryer was down or they were waiting for fresh roast beef, etc...but I was told that "it was only their second day open (technically third, but who's counting) and they were, like, super busy." Not FAST food, but quite exceptional nonetheless. We randomly saw this place recently while on a drive scoping out areas that we've never been before in Lebanon, and due to the somewhat silly name, I was a little hesitant to try, but we decided to order several items on their menu. I would agree that it took awhile to get our food, maybe about 10-12 minutes, similar to what I'd expect to wait for Culvers. The quality and taste of the food however was spectacular. We tried the double bacon cheeseburger, the wild western burger, and a junior beef sandwich. The junior beef sandwich is a rival to any Arby's sandwich I have ever had, much more fresh and way less oily after taste than the roast beef sandwiches from Arby's. Both the burgers were absolutely delicious. We weren't able to finish either and heated them up as leftovers a couple days later, and they were still better than any fast food burger I have ever had even after the microwave. The BBQ sauce on the Wild West burger had the best balance between smoke, spice, tomato and sweet; and the onion rings were superb! The bacon on the double bacon cheeseburger was crispy and crunchy. We ordered several sides including the waffle sweet potato fries, the loaded fries, the cheese curds, and the onion rings. The sweet potato fries were crunchy and sweet. The loaded fries were their regular fries smothered with ranch, cheese green onion and bacon bits, and they did not scrimp on the toppings at all. Now loaded fries aren't my jam in general, but my husband thought they were amazing and ate every last bite. I did however pull out a few untouched fried and their fries in general had great flavor and crunch. They are thin and crispy and not too salty. The onion rings really were a special treat. I love onion rings, but all too often they are too greasy or oily, especially from fast food locations, but these were unexpectedly amazing. They tasted almost like they were air fried, with very little residual oil and SO MUCH CRUNCH! Then there were the cheese curds. The cheese curds, much like their other sides we ordered really surprised me at the fact they were NOT soggy or oily at all. They had an incredible garlicky flavor and the outside was crunchy and golden and the inside was filled with gooey delicious cheese. The last item I want to note was their coffee shake. If you like iced coffee, their coffee shake was like a creamsicle is to an orange. It was the most fantastic coffee drink I have ever had, clearly a dessert, but I was literally purrrrrrring. It was creamy and flavorful. The coffee flavor was strong throughout the entire shake and the ice cream was so silky and creamy. It was the best dessert version of coffee I think I may have ever had. There was a lot of hype, leading up to me stopping by. Locals were raving about this place but I was not impressed on my first visit. I will try them one more time before I make my final decision. Visited the new restaurant and thought it was great. Just open they're having some issues with help but the food was fabulous The people are very nice. I highly recommend it.
