Did not go inside PROS: This was a very innovative White Castle. The drive thru has an AI system in it and the machine got our order correct. The prices were good, food was great, and the size of the building is spacious from looking in the window. The staff is nice and gets the order right CONS: They take 9 years to make your food and that causes a line up at the drive thru OVERALL: As long as you aren't rushing and there's no line I highly recommend you eating here read more

This review is in my history. When we worked in Wayne, one day we decided to all go to White Castle and - for many of us - attempt a sack of 20. None of us completed the sack of 20. But I won with 17 1/2. And White Castle is a unique thing. Don't go here thinking it's hamburgers. It's onionburgers. A unique flavor, a unique size where you can slam a burger in a single bite if you so choose. The onions and pickles are your flavor. (That's why I couldn't finish. Over-onioned to death. We snapped and ordered 26 sliders, onion rings and a diet coke! LOL To be fair, it was our first time trying White Castle and my expectations were not high (can't expect too much from fast food). My man wanted to try as many sliders as he could so he just ordered 2 of every slider they had available at the time (we skipped out on the vegetarian ones). The lady taking our order thought we were playing a prank! Haha! We were at the drive thru so once we paid $45 for our big order, they asked us to park and they'll bring our order out. I will note that they gave us a 10% discount (not sure why but that was nice). After waiting for some time, they brought out our order. However, they forgot our coke so I had to run back in to ask for it. Then I realized they didn't include any napkins so I had to run back in again. It was a bit of a hassle but it worked out. They seemed to be very busy at the time. Okay, let's talk about the burgers themselves. What I like about them is their size - I love how tiny they are which allows you to eat a few different ones! They taste OK, nothing special and I honestly couldn't tell a major difference between most of them. The sauce they provided us with was ketchup - a lot of ketchup. I did really like the onion rings so definitely try those out. Our order lasted us for 3 separate meals lol. Our fault for ordering so much. If you've never tried White Castle then definitely make sure to do so (and don't order 26 sliders!). read more

Been here so many times, can't believe I did not review it. 1) The best thing about this place: it is 24/7. Also, they have parking, unlike most other 24/7 places. 2) I will never forget when I was in High School, we watched Harold and Kumar; and after, me & my friend decided to come here afterwards. I am Indian and he is East Asian, similar to Harold and Kumar, good old days being a teen. 3) The burgers/sliders here are excellent. Easily the better of the White Castles in this vicinity of Passaic County. This location is much more out of the way than the one in Paterson, but it's worth it to me to get the better service and better tasting burgers. I give them 2 stars for the service effort at the drive thru which I was lucky enough to be the only car in there at my last visit. That should have been the first clue! As anyone in the area knows this WC location has had a long wait at the drive thru for decades. Yes decades! I have been coming to this WC since I was a young child. Sadly, this very well may have been my last crave visit. No one there and still had to wait for my order of a # 1 combo with cheese. 10 minute wait for 4 WC's and they couldn't even melt the cheese before dousing the little square cold burger with enough ketchup to cover 10 sacks of burgers! The only reason to pay extra for the cheese was for the way it used to melt all into that lil holy meat slider. That said, I took pics and I am complaining to Corporate anyway. This place is my guilty pleasure when drinking. You know the outcome but it's worth it.

I always loved the fact that White Castle has clam strips on its menu. Those and Chicken Rings are my go to sides when I get my Surf & Turf burgers. Lately like say the last six months this location in Clifton is always out of Clam strips and when I asked at the drive thru why, I was told they don't know. I'm not sure who's running this store but how's about making sure you get clam strips, or take them off the menu. read more

Valentines Day at White Castle is amazing! There is waitress service, tablecloths, menus, and decorations. It is adorable, very doable with kids, and the couple at the next table even brought wine! Reservations are needed for the special treatment, but it is so worth it! read more

What a wonderful throwback experience. Have loved White Castle for many years, and going here was fun and tasty. While they've added many items to their menu to keep up with the times, their burgers are unique and tasty. Can't drive past one without being flooded with memories and stopping on for at least one burger. I haven't visited a White Castle in years but I definitely had fonder memories than this visit. The tables inside were all dirty. The burgers were on par with the frozen ones in the supermarket. The fries were decent. But they do have Fanta Strawberry on tap which is fantastic and I didn't poop my pants on the drive home so they are OK in my book. The lady here was very polite so I told her the guy that was putting the onion rings and chicken rings into the fryer didn't have gloves on.. he put them on as soon as I looked at him. So he didn't have gloves on while putting the onion rings in but put gloves on while putting the chicken rings into the fryer. I had stopped in there because I had a coupon and it had been a while since I was there. A very long while. I ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches and some hash browns. The food was completely inedible. The food also SMELLED bad and I could tell it was because they had not changed the oil in their fryer for a very long time. It was RANCID! I actually tried to taste it and immediately gagged and spit it out. I complained to the corporate customer service number. They took my complaint and thought that was that. I later got a phone message from apparently the manager of this store apologizing for my experience and asked me to call her back with her number. The following day I called. When the phone picked up, I had the following conversation: WC - WHAT? Me - Hi, can I speak to (manager's name)? WC - WHO? Me - I repeated manager's name. WC - WELL WHO THE HELL IS THIS? Me - I'm returning the manager's phone call to me. WC - WELL THEY AIN'T HERE! (Phone hangs up) Honestly? NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN! Why the heck would I ever buy food from this place with rude people and oil in the fryer that hasn't been changed in over 10,000 miles? And honestly? Valvoline could have only enhanced the flavor preferable to what I got. I called the corporate complaint line again and updated the complaint. STAY AWAY PEOPLE! I felt it had been too long since I had enjoyed 10 or 12 of these greasy little heart attack burgers, so stopped in on a Friday night. It was more packed than some of the bars I could have gone to, and louder than at least a few. The best. Miss this stuff since we moved to DC. White Castle is a chain that's been around for ages. It may not be as well know as some of the others, but their sliders have a taste all their own. We typically get 20-30 hamburgers and cheeseburgers and some onion rings. Yes people make little jokes about eating White Castle sliders, but they are simply the best if you have a craving for them. While the service can be a little slow at times, it may be that it's being impatient makes the wait longer. When you walk in the smell of beef and sautéed onions weighs heavily in the air, and without at doubt you know you're at White Castle. I also have had the fish sandwich with cheese and tartar, which is also a favorite. All the food is fresh, hot and good. It may just be a function of being extremely hungry when we go to White Castle, but one thing for sure, is that you'll never leave disappointed. My only comment is I wish they had a nicer area to sit down and eat in... It's a little cramped, but I guess our intent is never to stay there and eat. read more
