sad discolored crepe with a bucket of nuttela! Chili was good.

If you love Nutella, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. We did have a 45 minute wait for food on Union parents weekend.

I am happy to say that the food and the service here is just as good as the Ballston Spa location. It has always been one of my favorite lunch spots. This location is super cute and much larger than the original location. This location is also less busy than the original location if you're not looking to wait in line and have just as nice of an experience.

To be fair, I am not a scone-ologist, but the scone was disappointing. But Hubbo has been talking about this roasted red pepper soup literally every day. The tea and lemonade were top notch. I bought a souvie teacup, of course. Service was good. We were sat on one side of the place and we were the only people over there. It might've been a rocking good time on the other side. I will definitely go back to try some other menu items.

Afternoon Tea

Glad to cross this place off my "to eat" list! I've been wanting to check out Whistling Kettle for a long time, and what a more perfect day than a sunny Sunday during the farmers market. We were surprised to be seated immediately in a cute little spot by the window. We started with a couple drinks. I went for one of the tea cocktails. It was a tea mixed with wine and frozen berries. It was pretty good! It was a great pairing for brunch. Of course I had to order the afternoon tea. It is a stacked presentation of a main, a side and a dessert. It's an awesome deal for $20 and a fun presentation. I chose the Apple, Bacon and three cheese sandwich, the lobster bisque and a lemon scone. The sandwich was SO good. It is not something I would normally get but the blue cheese sold me. The flavors were perfectly balanced, great texture, it was ooey gooey and crisp. Next I got the lobster bisque, which I'm not sure if they make this in house but it was super tasty! I also ordered the scone, but at that point I was pretty full. Also, maybe scones aren't my thing, I would try the cake or crepes next time for my sweet option. Because there will be a next time! This was such a fun brunch option and I can't wait to go back!

Monte cristo crepe, goat cheese salad & lemon crepe

This place is adorable! The selection of teas is wonderful! The Earl Grey London Fog was perfectly mixed! The coffee and iced tea were great too! We ordered the 3-tier meals, which is so special. The quiche was yummy, and the monte cristo crepe was delicious (but almost too much ham!) Goat cheese salad - very flavorful & nice mix of tart, bitter & sweet. Lemon crepe & berry crepe- both delicious! The Crepes are soft & chewy, nice flavor. Lobster bisque soup is very rich, blended up into a creamy texture. BLT scone sandwich was delicious - scones here are very flavorful. Crumbly but moist. Everything was so tasty- highly recommend!

Any of the soups are great. A little more on the expensive side but you pay for the ambience of Jay street

The atmosphere immediately sets the tone: warm lighting, clean and intentional décor, and a sense of quiet sophistication that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. What truly sets The Tailored Tea apart is its commitment to customization and quality. The tea selection is extensive without feeling overwhelming, and everything is presented with care and intention. Whether you're a casual tea drinker or someone who knows the difference between oxidation levels in oolong, the staff takes time to guide you toward something that genuinely fits your taste. That "tailored" aspect isn't just a name--it's the philosophy. I ordered a blended herbal tea that was recommended based on my flavor preferences, and it was exceptional: balanced, aromatic, and layered without being overpowering. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and nothing tastes rushed or artificial. Even the presentation--the cups, the pours, the little details--adds to the sense that this place values the full sensory experience. Service deserves special mention. The staff is attentive in a calm, unhurried way that feels genuine rather than scripted. They're knowledgeable without being pretentious, and they clearly enjoy helping guests explore new flavors. It feels more like a guided experience than a transaction. The space itself is also worth highlighting. It's quiet enough for reading or working, but still inviting enough for conversation. Everything from the seating to the music contributes to a relaxed but refined ambiance. It's the kind of place where time seems to slow down in the best possible way. Overall, The Tailored Tea is more than just a tea shop--it's an experience in personalization and mindfulness. Whether you're stopping in for a quick cup or settling in for an afternoon escape, it delivers consistently on quality, atmosphere, and care. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, elevated tea experience.

I wasn't a fan of the orzo salad unfortunately; it was too tangy for my taste. I love the building and its history. The ghost stories are fun to hear about. Their service is exceptional; the guys are so kind! My only complaints are that it's pretty cold inside in the winter and it was a bit smelly as we were seated right next to the busing bins, which appear to need a deep clean.

She even gave us good input for what to order since it was our first time in there and she had so much patience as well. I ordered a vanilla matcha and matcha isn't something I enjoyed my first time trying it however, it was just the perfect amount of sweetness and didn't taste too grassy like other places. My boyfriend ordered a mocha iced coffee and cinnamon bun, usually he gets cream and sugar as well however she kindly informed us that the syrups itself was sweet enough and he didn't need it to which she was absolutely right. The cinnamon bun was delicious as well :))) This place was so cozy and cute, definitely would recommend if you're looking for a small place to enjoy good coffee and pastries. I don't know what it was but the coffee here was just perfect! I'm glad I found this place and I surely will be returning next time I'm in the area. They had lots of good books and vintage stuff as well. 5/5 most def!
